I'm loving this experimental series you've been doing lately (the different black decks+the "Draw Cards in different colors" decks. I think its a great way to keep the format fresh during the summer!
bumped into someone on MTGA who was playing this deck - presumably saw the show and copied the list. got absolutely thrashed by it (was playing my mono green ramp) but hats off...it's a pretty effective build.

I play something kind of like this, not quite. I love Jeskai control: some life gain, board wipes, spot removal, value cards, card draw, etc. But I don't play enough to have the wildcards/resources to maintain a 3 color deck, so I opted for a Jeskai-esque mono black as it saved like 40 rare/mythics. It's pretty decent
Henrika Domnathi is such a cool card that can be really good, but just doesn't tend to make the cut versus some of the other powerful 4 mana creatures, which is a shame.

He didn't have video of the best part. When you actually flip the sheoldred and all those creatures you spent all game killing show up on your side of the board. Epic.
@Luna-Lux happily not everyone. I had 2 games yesterday where I flipped it. I don't think everyone knows what this card does, it's not played much in the current meta. Against esper legends it was a thing of beauty.
It's also a reflection of the meta, without invoke there are more creatures and planeswalkers and without fable your removal is more 1 for 1. I have the exact reverse of this deck (trying to make bant superfriends a thing!) and... it has no turn 1 or 2 removal so it has a huge lossrate. Most decks without cut down, burn, or lay down arms are just bad in B01 rn
Like CGB said in the intro, it's a much more viable strategy in Best of One, where 1) the meta is much more aggressive and 2) there is no opportunity to sideboard to take advantage of your Removal Tribal meme deck.
@@bryanleblanc5648sideboarding is a skill that needs to be learned. Start by playing with no sideboard whatsoever. No, seriously. Then after each loss think what card would have helped you, and put two of those in your sideboard. See what happens when you come up against that deck again. Keep doing this while you adjust the cards and their number in your sideboard. Continue until you're confident in your deck.
Didn't even know this deck exists but never ever faced grave lighter before. Crushed it pretty easy with a phyrexian mono black. Oppo could not compete with recuring threads. Only build it for kill 25 creatures daily.
Hey kids, you see this cool deck and think "f** it I'll craft it! What could go wrong?" What WILL go wrong is that you will face 10 Mind splice aparatus decks in a row. Trust me. You will suffer.
I know overall it didnt matter but around 15:35 you made a comment about intrepid being able to block sheoldred but sheoldred has menace i guess maybe if you were worried about flash but you made it sound like it was just a flat block
In the second match, you drew 2 Invasion of Innistrad cards but I don't see them listed in the deck list. What cards did you remove from thew deck to add these?
Grenn players watch the flowers in early summer to watch them bloom. Black players look at flowers late summer to watch them wither. Golgari pkayers are something else
Love this deck, but I can’t help but feel it would get clowned by control. All those removal sitting in your hand while they make land drops, then all your big hitters get countered since they don’t care about their tokens getting killed
There are still quite a lot of bodies in this deck and you have the Corrupt and Liliana with the great ultimate. I would say it is still playable even against control.
@@marekjurcik you can get lucky, but after playing a lot of matches, ramp is a tough matchup, so is skrelvs hive, on the draw versus enchantment if you don’t have cut down for their one drop, and control with sunfall is tough, so is monoblue djinn
Yeah. I got a list like this for Historic. Why bother building a deck with 'card advantage' and 'synergy' when the opponent is blowing their hand on turn 2 and a couple of fatal pushes completely destablises them.
This is basically what happens whenever I roll the 750 gold/Kill 30 opponent creatures quest 😍
Yeah I slapped together a boardwipe tribal deck for that one. Its...not bad actually.
yes, we all need a deck like this to complete daily quests....and self-healing, damaging others 😌

You'll encounter few match there and there but it not that bad. Just scoop and go on to the next game. CGI farming enchantment and mono red.😆

I run a mono black Toshiro commander deck that is basically this. I love it.

Monoblack removal is my favorite way to play. I love when the opponent quits after losing 3-4 creatures.
I tried and got paired against four control decks, three creatureless, and go wide soldiers. Fun

I play a zero rare removal deck that's pretty much the same thing. It has a pretty good win rate even against legitimate decks.

morbid opportunist would probably be a nice source of card draw for this deck, if a little slow.

Yes. Any deck not heavy on creature cards. It doesnt put enough pressure to be aggro on its own.
