  • A little tribiute to The Founding-Father of Steppenwolf. He played that famous organ on Born To Be Wild and other tunes. This song was directly recorded from The Early Steppenwolf vinyl.

    Goldy McJohn was one of the best Hammond B3 players. He handled a Leslie like no one else.

    Goldy was a great keyboard man, I met him in the lobby of the hotel that hosted 'the Last Wolfest' in 2002.
    I can't think of another organist who played with the percussive effect, as in 'Tighten up your Wig'.
