Jim Henson's fabulous work inspired me to become a puppeteer earlier this year, and I am working on a show right now. If I am even 1/16 as good as Mr. Henson, I will still be fantastic. Thank you, Mr. Henson, for all you have done for me and for countless others.
I was so down and desperate in this week because of the war in my land, so I went back to my loved songs, and found this one out, and it's so beautiful and full of hope, and a reminder there is so much kindness around the world. thank you for that.
the muppets were my first and most trusted friends.I still miss seeing them every week. It's funny the movies and music still move me the same way today as when I was a kid. gone but never frgotten you made a lasting impact on so many of us thanks Jim for you'vedone
This world and the USA aspecally are so lucky to have had people like Jim Henson, Walt Disney and Fred Rogers. May they all Rest In Peice forever. They are missed but not forgotten. May they never be forgotten as long as "man" lives! Nice video. I think you sound more like Scooter than Kermit. A Scooter who is lsightly horse. I thank you again for this respecful tribute to a great man.
Thank you trentwood2000 for keeping the magic alive. As long as those of us who walk in beauty and always dream in rainbows Jim Henson will live forever in us. My daughter is also a dreamer, and loves this song. May you be blessed for this wonderful tribute to a childhood hero of mine. I sing like Kermit too. Used to sing it for my daughter. Even though she's a teenager now, sometime she has her hard times, and she asks me to sing this to her. It turns a bad day around for her.
condolences friend, its a tragic story, and you are a hero for staying with her, and singing to her as she departed. I hope you and your family are healing.
Excellent tribute to one of the greatest people- Jim Henson. This man has done so much. He has introduced us to the Muppets and highlighted their shenanigans. He has entertained millions of families worldwide and has directed many great T.V. shows and films. This man is truly a jack of all trades and a blessed man. God rest his soul although he has been dead for 26 years. God bless Jim Henson and his work throughout the years. Jim Henson has really been an all-American entertainer, actor, and comedian.
I may not have been alive when jim henson was around. But growing up learning and watching the muppets was the best part of my life. Thank you Mr Henson
Im a 45 yr old man who loved the muppets my whole life and welcome to the world of Henson he was a genius for sure. I'm truly inspired that there are still some people out there that have a ear for greatness.
Anyone else cry while watching this? That image at the end ...the silhouette of Kermit and Jim ❤️ so moving. I think I was 6 or 7 years old when I first heard this song, sitting in the theater between my mom and dad--big bucket of popcorn, a giant soda and the Muppet Movie, what could have been better?
when my daughter was 3 years old we watched this movie together one Christmas eve . We had a cheap TV that would blur and distort every so often and my poor sweet baby would yell out fix it daddy fix it daddy best christmas ever
Gracias querido amigo.
You made my childhood better thanks to your Muppets. My 4 year old loves this song, and you're making his childhood great as well. Thank you, Jim. We miss you so much. R.I.P. Jim and Jerry.
My recently laid to rest mother enjoyed all the episodes of THE MUPPET SHOW seasons 1, 2, & 3 that I showed her! That show brought back many memories on DVD! I still wait for the Disney Company to release the last seasons 4 & 5 on to DVD!! You did a nice song rendition as Kermit's voice! Thanks for the tribute!
Thanks for this Trent. Jim Henson accomplished his life's goal. He definitely left this world better off because of his life's mission. He'll live on forever in Kermit, Miss Piggy, Bert & Ernie & all the Muppets. Thank you Jim.
Indeed he did, thanks to Jim Henson I learned that imagination can be a powerful tool. Never ever stop imagining because it can take to you a long way in life.
Beautiful tribute man. It will be 25 years this Saturday that Mr. Henson passed on. I was just about to turn 1, 3 weeks after that. I really wish I could've been around longer to see his work when it was new, like being born in 1969 not 1989, then I would've been turning 21 in May 1990. It's sad how stupid jerks are still alive but Mr. Henson had to die. I've always loved the Muppets, especially the Sesame Street Muppets like Big Bird, Cookie, Telly, Grover, Bert & Ernie . . . such a gem for generations of preschoolers going back 46 years. And of course all the Muppet Movies featuring Kermit, Fozzie, Miss Piggy, Rowlf and friends. Thank you Jim. Hopefully wherever you are, you have found the Rainbow connection. The world isn't the same without you.
I grew up with his and his company's stuff for 34 years since i was 3! i mean Muppets, Muppet Babies, Muppet movies, Seasme Street, Fraggle Rock, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Storyteller, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the movie, The Witches, Dinosaurs, Farscape, Ghosts of Faffner Hall etc. all amazing works from him and his company. I was 8 when he died and i was devested when he died! he was one of my heroes growing up and inspirations. But i'm glad his legacy has not been forgotten! i'm glad Dark Crystal Age of Resistance did justice to Henson's vision with his children helping and fans of the movie doing justice to the movie with the amazing prequel show and Jim would be proud.
I was a little kid when the Muppet Show was at it's pomp. I just loved it! My folks laughed at the jokes I could never have understood as a child, but I loved the slapstick elements. It truly was a family show. Jim Henson created something magical! He brought us all together, children and adults, in enjoyment of his wonderful, fantasy world. The current gen have nothing that compares to this - it's so sad that Jim left us so early ;-(
THIS IS MY SONG. Good days, bad day's when searching TH-cam I always end up listening to it. It is my answer to everything, good and bad situations, this is the song that draws me in. I grew up watching the Muppet's. I loved them as a child and still do as an adult. Nothing feels more like home than watching the Muppet's. RIP Jim. Your gift to the world was laughter and imagination. It will last for generations to come. Thank you. x
I'm a child of the 60s. So many of my childhood entertainers have passed away Paul Winchell,, Shari Lewis, and Jim Henson. I. Miss them but they left me with so many wonderful memories. May they all left in peace.
Happy 75th Birthday Jim Henson wish you were still here to celebrate it :( Thanks for filling my childhood with the Muppets, sesame street and fraggle rock
My 8 year old sister Josie Cortez loved this song. She was a beautiful girl. We played this song at her funeral. I cry whenever I hear this song. She was hit by a potholl filling truck on her way to school. I was with her and when I saw her bleed to death I just broke into tears and started singing this song.
Fantastic tribute! Very well done and quite creative. My favorite part was at 3:09 when Kermit was looking in the mirror and it was Jim Henson in the reflection - AWESOME! Made me tear up a bit, and trust me, I don't tear up very often.
Thank you Jim Henson for bring Muppet Show in our lives and we grew up with all this fantastic and fabulous world you gave us.. Muppet Show will always be one of the loves in my life..A love that will keep standing till the end..Jim,Kermit,Fozzie,Miss Piggy,Statler and Waldorf,Animal,Gonzo,Rowlf,Scooter, Sam and the rest of Muppets THANK YOU for every minute you got us in the most sweet and great journey of our tender and innocense childhood..
A beautiful song dedicated to the great muppets' creator jim henson, though it's a very sad melody and makes me cry because it's an enormous emotion of has stolen the fondness and the respect from all his followers, but the show must go on forever. R. I. P. : Jim Henson 1936 - 1990 P. S. : the muppets' legend lives forever and ever.
Jim must have had a blast creating all of this fun. Although he was taken from us way too soon, his creations must really stretch his longevity to 200 years. Creativity is a gift and a wonderful thing that millions of people enjoy.
I may have not been alive when he passed away, (I was born in 1999) but his works was certainly one of the biggest influences to me when I was a kid. I remember when my parents bought me all the DVD's and seasons from The Muppet Show, a few other Muppet films, and watched a few Sesame Street episodes on air, and it truly was a huge impact on how I looked at some things. If only I had knew about this man sooner, then I would've been more thankful for taking part of it. Thank you Jim for bringing in so much great stuff into our lives for us to learn, laugh and grow up with. And although he's no longer with us anymore, he certainly has influenced many people, made lots of friends, fans, and many characters to choose from, and for that The Muppets and Sesame Street continue on to encourage even more kids over the generations. Seriously, he is awesome. And that's not even getting me started to his partnership with Disney, and as far as I know, both that company and Walt Disney himself are pretty awesome too. Had Walt been alive to see Jim, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars etc., then he truly would've been one of the most happiest and most inspired people on the entire planet.
Wonderful tribute to a man who believed and lived the magic of life ! Thank you for sharing The Song. Someday we'll find it. I hope it is as beautiful as it is in my heart.
This is absolute Gold, it's brilliant, it took me back to the late 70's when the Muppet movie was released and I was transfixed. Thank you Jim and Frank and anyone else responsible for the Muppet magic.
This is probably one of the BEAUTIFUL tributes to Mr. Henson I've seen in a long time. That last last pic really did sum it up best. Jim Henson was the breath, heart and soul of Kermit the frog. I remember when hearing about the passing of Jim Henson. I almost felt that part of Kermit as we knew him died as well. No disrespect to the current voice of Kermit, but it just hasn't been the same since. God bless you Jim Henson and thanks for sharing your gifts with the world!
We will miss you Jim Henson and if you can read this message from heaven if you find my great grandmother and the great Lorenzo Music tell them I miss them too
Lorenzo Music is another talented person from show business that I miss. I still remember hearing his voice as Garfield and Dr. Peter Venkman on The Real Ghostbusters as a child. He could do so much with his voice and despite many people not ever seeing his face, became famous. Thanks to DVD, his legacy will endure just like Jim Henson's.
This song always touches my heart it's a song that my daddy and I always sang together in the car. It means so very much to me. And I'm so glad I count myself among those who Jim Henson brought such joy.
Jim Henson's fabulous work inspired me to become a puppeteer earlier this year, and I am working on a show right now. If I am even 1/16 as good as Mr. Henson, I will still be fantastic.
Thank you, Mr. Henson, for all you have done for me and for countless others.
1976 was so magical watching the muppets as a kid. Thanks Jim. :)
