Great tip about finishing your project- I’ve been procrastinating about doing the buttonholes on my make (shirt dress), but your quite right, until it’s finished it’s just fabric!
Wonderful that after you featured women sewists, you then featured the men! I was surprised how many of the men I've actually come across on my own and from whom I've already learned. I've been venturing more into making garments for my husband and son, leaving me needing the expertise these men have. They're fantastic. Thanks!
I hadn’t realised that I’d unconsciously only featured women in my first video and so I needed to remedy that. I’m glad you’ve already discovered some of these men before
I believe that no matter how long you have been a sewist, you can always learn something new and useful. I especially enjoyed Mr. McLeod's tutorial for making a pocket flap with a non- show lining that snaps shut and Andrew's serger tips like cutting out a bit of seam allowance to get a straight start with the serger. Thank you for contacting all of these wonderful sewists who were so gracious with their knowledge.
Love this, especially the hand sewing tips. Very interesting and they will make a big difference to my sewing practice. And I love the advice of having fun and experimenting, and understanding that there are lots of ways of doing things, not just the ‘right way’. I tend to work out a lot of things for myself, try not to use patterns, and I love working out how to construct a garment from scratch. Much more satisfying than using a pattern…
Thank you for putting this great video up. As a male sewer it was great to hear from other guys who sew. Thanks too to the guys who generously shared their experiences and tips.
Loved this video. Haven’t seen most of those sewers before. Here in the US we can’t get the great British sewing B which is very disappointing. I’m going to go look for them online right now and binge watch whatever I can find. Thank you for a lovely video! ❤
I used the German tailor’s thread tip straight away. So easy once you’re told. Thanks!
You’re right it is. I’d never heard of this tip either 😀
Thank you so much for including me in this project! I’m honored to be included with such a great group of men who sew. 😁
Me, too 🥰
Thank you to both of you for being involved. It’s a brilliant group of men who sew

Great tips from everyone, thank you
@@carolwebb9948very true 😊
I love to see the sewing videos from men or geared to man sewing as a mom of 3 grown boys it is much harder to find patterns for men.
Yes I agree. There’s a lot less patterns out there for men
