Also, the act of just feeding a hungry soul without expecting anything in return, as done in gurudwaras (the place of worship of Sikhs) is noble like none. Along with that, Sikhs are one of the bravest communities in India. In the past India has been successful in protecting it's borders during wars a number of times and a lot of credit for that goes to our Sikh Regiment and our Sikh brothers in the Army.

The meaning of the 5 Ks The 5 Ks taken together symbolise that the Sikh who wears them has dedicated themselves to a life of devotion and submission to the Guru. The 5 Ks are 5 physical symbols worn by Sikhs who have been initiated into the Khalsa. The five Ks are: Kesh (uncut hair) Kara (a steel or iron bracelet) Kanga (a wooden comb) Kaccha - also spelt, Kachh, Kachera (cotton underwear) Kirpan ( sword, dagger) Kesh - uncut hair Various reasons and symbolisms have been put forward for the Sikh practice of keeping hair uncut. Throughout history hair (kesh) has been regarded as a symbol both of holiness and strength. One's hair is part of God's creation. Keeping hair uncut indicates that one is willing to accept God's gift as God intended it. One is not to harm/destroy things which do not harm anyone. One cuts his nails as it can hurt someone. Hair are given by God and it does not harm anyone. Uncut hair symbolizes adoption of a simple life, and denial of pride in one's appearance. Not cutting one's hair is a symbol of one's wish to move beyond concerns of the body and attain spiritual maturity. •It is a highly visible symbol of membership of the group. Kara - a steel or iron bracelet A symbol of restraint and gentility. A symbol that a Sikh is linked to the Guru. It acts as a reminder that a Sikh should not do anything of which the Guru would not approve. A symbol of God having no beginning or end. A symbol of permanent bonding to the community-being a link in the chain of Khalsa Sikhs (the word for link is 'kari'). The Kara is made of steel or iron, rather than gold or silver, because it is not an ornament. Kanga - a wooden comb This symbolises a clean mind and body; since it keeps the uncut hair neat and tidy. It symbolises the importance of looking after the body which God has created. This does not conflict with the Sikh's aim to move beyond bodily concerns; since the body is one's vehicle for enlightenment one should care for it appropriately. Kachha - special underwear This is a pair of breeches that must not come below the knee. It was a particularly useful garment for Sikh warriors of the 18th and 19th centuries, being very suitable for warfare when riding a horse. It's a symbol of chastity. Kirpan - a ceremonial sword There is no fixed style of Kirpan and it can be anything from a few inches to three feet long. It is kept in a sheath and can be worn over or under clothing. The Kirpan can symbolise: Spirituality The soldier part of the Soldier-Saints Defence of good Defence of the weak The struggle against injustice A metaphor for God For a Sikh the fact that the Guru has instructed the Sikhs to wear the 5 Ks is an entirely sufficient reason, and no more need be said. The symbols have become greatly more powerful with each passing year of Sikh history. Every Sikh remembers that every Sikh warrior, saint, or martyr since 1699, and every living member of the Khalsa, is united with them in having adopted the same 5 Ks.

This is the biggest kitchen in India but it's pretty common for Hindu temples and Sikh grurdwaras to organise langars. In Hinduism every temple is dedicated to a God or Goddess and the free food is organised on the day the God or Goddess is associated to. For eg. If you go to a Ganpati temple on Tuesday, you have a tendency to get food. Then there are famous temples that offer free food everyday and there are small temples that offer free food on feast day.

Previously, when there were no vehicles and only slow moving carts, brooms after wedding with his family welcomes his wife into his house and there were bandits who would stop them in middle of road and loot them and such. it came upon from this for broom carrying a lil knife.

Sikhs are the most kind hearted people, I have ever met. I have once visited the golden temple during my college trip and I must say it was overwhelming...I remember this one incident that happened during this temple visit which touched my heart. Me and my group were standing in a line for going to the inner temple. The line was not going fast for half hour and we have reach the station to catch the train. Then there ardas stared which would take atleast one and half hour and we only have half hour. We were stuck in the middle and we so wanted to take the blessing but time was not there. Then all the people around there made the space for us to go ahead and take the blessing. I so moved, I have never seen such gesture. Even though I was not able to have the langar. But I captured this memory in my heart for life time.

Kara - a steel or iron bracelet
A symbol of restraint and gentility.
Kanga - a wooden comb
This symbolises a clean mind and body; since it keeps the uncut hair neat and tidy.
It symbolises the importance of looking after the body which God has created. This does not conflict with the Sikh's aim to move beyond bodily concerns; since the body is one's vehicle for enlightenment one should care for it appropriately.
Kachha - special underwear
This is a pair of breeches that must not come below the knee. It was a particularly useful garment for Sikh warriors of the 18th and 19th centuries, being very suitable for warfare when riding a horse.
It's a symbol of chastity.
Kirpan - a ceremonial sword
There is no fixed style of Kirpan and it can be anything from a few inches to three feet long. It is kept in a sheath and can be worn over or under clothing.
The Kirpan can symbolise:
Spirituality
The soldier part of the Soldier-Saints
Defence of good
Defence of the weak
The struggle against injustice
A metaphor for God
For a Sikh the fact that the Guru has instructed the Sikhs to wear the 5 Ks is an entirely sufficient reason, and no more need be said.
The symbols have become greatly more powerful with each passing year of Sikh history.
Every Sikh remembers that every Sikh warrior, saint, or martyr since 1699, and every living member of the Khalsa, is united with them in having adopted the same 5 Ks.
How much time you have buddy!
@@AnkitSharma-wx7zm seems like you dont have enough to educate yourself.buddy
Hey Jaby, I really wish you to go to a Sikh Gurudwara Sahib near your area and make a video and post on this channel. I know that you only do reaction but believe me it will give an energy to do your work in a more improved way that you never experienced before.
Have good time brother.
Punjabis have body of warriors and mind of saints
Agree. Thank you buddy.🙏😊
Jaby is like : a baby who wants the food small knife and a Turban on head
You can still go to any Gurudwara in US and still be able to go to the langar(free meal) and explore how everything works personally
Proud to have both eaten and helped in the Langar at the Golden temple. It’s a feeling you have never experienced before, pure volunteerism and human connection with people you feed or who feed you.
The 3 must-go places in Amritsar are-
1. Golden Temple
2. Jallianwala Bagh
3. Wagah Border
I visit these 3 every time I go there, it’s just the perfect template
see's a turban
Jaby: I want a turban
See's a knife
Jaby: I want a Knife
See's a baby
Jaby: I want a Baby
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😄😏
I've heard that volunteering for cooking and washing plates in Amritsar has waiting lists and you have to wait for months for your turn!
This is not true..who told you that..anyone can do seva when they visit harmandir sahib if they want
No, it's not true
I visited the nanded temple and it was gorgeous and the food was amazing. My father is a chef so when I say that the food was amazing that means it was one of the best I have ever tasted.
So I am currently planning to visit Amritsar.
just to let jaby know there is not only one sikh temple in India which offers free food there are thousands of them across the country..
I am a Hindu and Sikhism is the other religion I love the most other than my own religion.
Sikhs are fantastic people man.
Their fundamental teachings are so good.
I am not religious but Hinduism sucks in front of Sikhism.

The knife is just a representative one...
It is not sharp..
So it can't harm anybody..
It's kept just because of tradition..
I always wondered about that! Thanks, Pratik!
How do u know pratik? U r not a sikh
@@Raut-warrior I had sikh classmates.. they told me abt it..
@@PratikShinde182 wrong in the non tampered form it is unsharp like any other sword but it is solely upto the person who wields the weapon to sharp it as the weapon 'kirpan' is for 2 things for the kirpa or kirt and self defense never to be struck at weak or unarmed.
Wrong actually
This is the biggest kitchen in India but it's pretty common for Hindu temples and Sikh grurdwaras to organise langars. In Hinduism every temple is dedicated to a God or Goddess and the free food is organised on the day the God or Goddess is associated to. For eg. If you go to a Ganpati temple on Tuesday, you have a tendency to get food. Then there are famous temples that offer free food everyday and there are small temples that offer free food on feast day.
There are temples in the USA who serve food just like this, for free, all by volunteers. I have been to a few of them.
Langars are all over the world and it is free for everyone. It may not be open for 24 hours like this one. But it is open and free to anyone and everyone. No questions asked :)
Big fan From Myanmar working in Thailand u guys are amazing
Food served in gurudwara tastes so good better than any fancy hotel. And they never run out of food.
If you can't come all the way to india for such Langar's in GURU DWARA ...you can go to canada for such experience on a small scale ofc but you can have
Because no person should die because of an inaccessibility to food.....very beautiful practice
I dont know how you guys react to everything bcoz 80% of our content is a lot cringy for even indians..... Hats off.... Keep doing great work... Love from 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
How in hell is this cringy??

There is gurudwara ( holy place )
In every village and cities where they provide free food
You can experience the Sikh kitchen (Langar) in any Sikh Temple (Gurudwara) in the world. I am sure there are many in LA.
Everytime i watch this video....i cry...because of my love for Guru Nanak...founder of Sikhism...who started this free food with just mere 20 Rs...
They are the best.
And btw there's a similar temple in Kerala, called Parassini Temple
Which serves everyone who visits, totally free
But worship stones
I love my Sikh brothers and sisters, I visit Gurdwara in Vancouver.
U can find it in every Gurudwara , Amritsar have largest langar capacity it is done by pepole.
It used to be sword in earlier times, now its generally not feasible or legal to carry a long sword so we make did. Also a broom going into his wedding carries a knife( its just an ancient tradition of saying that broom will protect his brider after marriage.) Previously, when there were no vehicles and only slow moving carts, brooms after wedding with his family welcomes his wife into his house and there were bandits who would stop them in middle of road and loot them and such. it came upon from this for broom carrying a lil knife.
The all i can say that sikhs are an awesome fabulous community😍😍
Apart from other communities i think that they are helping so many of people , i think keeping are ego aside we should definetly learn something from them👍👏👏
Sikhs are actually the most kind, generous and helpful people ever. You can literally ask them for any help.
They are very great guys as they feed to each and every without discriminating them on the basis of their caste ,colour, religion and sex
This true format of worshiping the gods
I'm so emotional ri8 now jaby....Been your subscriber n would love to let you know I'm not sikh but I remembered all best memories of being in Punjab 🙏 Today after revisiting Golden temple I promised myself to visit temple seeking blessing of Guru's for my 2 month old angel 🚩
Love my zikh siblings... from a Jewish Indian ❤
I have been to Amritsar twice and one of my favorite things is the water available in the drinking section....It's so pure and the taste, it made Me feel like I was entering heaven.
I don't no why the each and every mela of langar is faboulous and delicious as it comprise gurubani 😊
This is the reason why I appreciate and like Sikhism truly humble and happy people.
You should see "Dharmasthala" (in Karnataka) they prepare meal for about thousands of people every single day....
A documentary has been made about Dharmasthala by National geographic, I suggest you to watch that.
Every Sikh gurdwara does it
@@Robby1456 Ya...I have seen that too...
Faith in something unknown (God) is a super powerful influence.
The beliefs of Sikhism, Hinduism, Buddhism, basically all Asian religions have similar principles and most important principle is to have a feeling of one world and to help everyone as much as one can.
*18:13** KESARI did it's job pretty well !*
No one in India will die of hunger.... unless they are not physically well to arrive at a temple....In Kerala most temple,Ashrams... provide food every day
I'll be travelling to Amritsar in March and I'm very excited to experience this when i visit Golden temple. 🙏🙏
Ayo that's sonny side!!. I love his channel best ever food review show
Btw Why did I discover this channel too late. Great contents, love it!
there are also so many gurudwaras in us you can go there .
what makes this video so special is that this type of stuff doesnt only happen at that specific gurdwara, but it also happens in gurdwaras and hindu mandirs outside of india as well, you will see a free lunch/dinner being served daily by alot of local small places of hindu and sikh worship in places like the united states and canada as well and they will never deny anyone a meal regardless of faith, its truly beautiful
I am actually "JAIN" but I really like "SIKH" community 🙏
There's a saying If you are in trouble in any part of world look for the people in turban they will always help you
This food is one of the most overwhelming things in the world. It is miracle on Earth .I love it ❤
You can go to a gurudwara nearby and experience it. All the gurudwaras serve free food like this called langar and you can learn more about it if you visit yourself
I am a Hindu but out of all religions i like Sikhism the most.
It’s time you learn about your roots. “Way of life”!

11:26 Jaby, you can visit nearby Gurudwara.
Amritsar is the only city in the world where nobody sleeps hungry
I am hindu but respect sikh community so much ❤❤❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😊
Sikh bhi hindu hi hai
Well you can have the near same experience over there too. America do have many Gurudwaras, just google it and go to anyone of them and you too can have Babaji ka Langar.
Its not a recipie by god actually. What he wanted to say was that we can cook the same thing at home but since that place is soo holy the taste you get there can never be replicated at home.. Thats the power for the place
Please watch "Tujhe kitna chahe aur hum" Live performance by Jubin Nautiyal in IIT roorke. It is even better than the original song. Plus there wont be any issue on copyright since Jubin himself urges reaction channels to watch it
He even compiled some of the reactions into his video
Yes please.🥺

My music teacher is also of sikh religion and the day he joined our school staff he showed us his knife and the comb and the bangle which was very heavy...The carvings on the knife was very cool there was an Assasins creed vibe to it..
