This series of trying iOS on older iPhones is so relevant to MY needs! I want to replace my iPhone 6S with an iPhone that CAN update the WatchOS on my Series 4 Apple Watch. My Watch is "stuck" at WatchOS 8, and it can be upgraded to WatchOS , but it won't, because my iPhone is too old.
Thanks to YOUR videos, I know I could get away with using XS Max, 11 Pro Max, and 12. I hope you'll do an iPhone 13, because that is as high in the ecosystem as I want to go. Living in the USA, I can't buy a 14 or 15, because they lack physical SIM card slots. Therefore...I'm "stuck" at a 13 that could take my physical SIM card.

Are you doing the XR and 11 Pro?
I have an 11, it runs amazingly so far, only a couple little hitches and some very light lag. Battery life has been the same overall.
I have this phone and I want to upgrade but the new regular iPhones still doesn’t have pro motion so I refuse.
So get a 16 Pro when that comes out. ProMotion is never coming to the base models

At 7:31 it wasn’t lagging at all, you were just pressing on an app(whatever the orange shape one is) making the phone think you wanted to long press that app
I don't think it's the processing power that is the main reason Apple Intelligence won't run on older models.
I believe it's because of limited RAM. Maybe it's both. It's also possible that, with that in mind, they built the Apple Intelligence architecture to *specifically* work with only newer models.

This day happens to be the day where iPhone 16 and IOS 18 is introduced to the world . He gets the oppoopportunity to sit in the audience and watch the keynote. What do you think his reaction will be ? What do you think he will think about how far some features have come . Such as pay to cash iPhone to iPhone . AirDrop . Cameras . Size . iPads iMacs air pods ect .
I my self , think he would be amazed at how even in 2024 every company out there has copied the original concept of what a smart phone is nowadays .
And to all the apple haters whether you want to admit it or not . Every android launch is done with apple in mind . With the goal to be better than apple because apple changed everything. He would probably die once he sees how big the pro models have gotten (in size) but I think he would be proud . And blown away by the apple head quarters 🎉
I have been a loyal Samsung user but as of this year I came over to apple and I love it. The apple community feels like a huge family. And it’s unique in its own way
I recently bought a refurbished iPhone 12 in brand new condition as an upgrade from my iPhone 5C. My personal 12 is running iOS 17.5 at the moment. Seems like iOS 18 would work really well but in my opinion waiting for the full launch would be better as there are bugs and iOS 17 is as usable right now

Yes I have bought it recently it works very fine on iso 17
i have one on 17.5.1 and it runs so smooth and games never lag .. the only problem would be battery is 5-7 hours sot max which is actually so decent too .. in 2024 dont buy anything less than 12 series

4gbs of ram stopped with the iPhone 13, base model iPhones such as the 14 and later comes with 6gbs of ram only the 15 pro and pro max starts with higher 8gbs
