This was even better. The fact that blights take effect is insane! And top it all off it, Khezu spamming the hell out of it just like during a hunt, is hilarious. Of course there were moments where they attacked air but there's only so much you can do about it given the basis of the a.i. and it was only moderate at worse. But my god, was this good. Rajang vs Goss Harag next. I need that now
@MysterE Yeah, one thing that I really wanted in iceborne fights was the impact of blights between monsters. Now in rise monsters can finally use their elements to deal blights. So monsters with status ailments aren't the only ones having all the fun. Rajang VS Goss is the next fight coming over on our main channel
14:00 Tetranodon really shows off its intelligence from here on out! The plethora of counters it uses to prevent Khezu from releasing its electric buildup is stunning; Its use of the rock to attack from a range was very smart, it shows that it notices Khezu is easy to get shocked by at close quarters, and it was just the right technique it needed to start smacking Khezu into submission. It uses so many ranged attacks to do damage while staying safe. I especially like 14:40 with all of the smacks he does to prevent Khezu from zapping him lol. Given at 14:50 he gets zapped twice but then immediately smacks it back in return and starts up again with the aggressive style. Also 15:00 with the smack and jump dodge. He’s just like “no.” This part of the fight felt really climactic and organic.
This fight was incredibly close, Khezu absolutely dominated with its electricity! I love these fights as they’re always unpredictable, keep up the awesome work mate 😀
That was incredible honestly it’s funny in a way Khezu won which sure it paralyzed Tetra like 10+ so I got good damage with him just sitting there but if we talk about flashy attacks and things omg Tetranadon was amazing it was like a fighting game because he was most definitely doing combos
@Moonlight Flower Yeah the way khezu was getting so many paralysis in reminded me of viper tobi-kadachi in iceborne. Tetranadon just has such a cool moveset, I specially loved his water beam ultimate he did near the end.
I think we can all agree that Tetranodon is generally the "better" monster, but being weak to both thunder AND paralysis did our big boy NO FAVORS in this match up. Also interesting to learn that monsters can ALSO trigger thunder blight's stun on other monsters.
Come on man, make those life bars bigger, thats all thats left for these videos to come 100% perfect. I believe in you, great stuff. Keep up that great work!
Everything from 14:30 to 15:22 was awesome. 15:09 especially was just perfect, but the back and forth was great. Like they were really going at it, and not just computer AI activating moves.

Although, if we are comparing a master rank exclusive monster like tigrex vs a high rank exclusive monster Deviljho then it's likely Tigrex will win; due to the HP and Damage difference.
I called it right for once. I figured even with a health disadvantage Khezu would win out with ranged attacks and stuns, or just annoy him to death if nothing else.
@Dj Jackson In monster hunter world Kulu Ya-Ku could K.O monsters by smashing it's rock on their head. In monster hunter rise monsters can now utilise thunder blights to do the same. it's pretty neat.
Old World Khezu would have destroyed that Guy. Well we got a very clear Winner here, so thats something. Its a Shame we have no Tetsucabra here, from what I know hes based in a Sumo as well, would have been quiet the Match.

Tetranadon was doing great for the most part, but ironically, going for its full belly sumo mode was a detriment to its DPS in the long run.

@@MSSDeathmatch Not just that, but also ended up lowering his attack frequency and accuracy, costing him the DPS needing to outmatch Khezu's.
From what I've seen, Kehzu utilities ranged attacks, while Tetranadon seems to just use physical attacks, which leaves him open most of the time
Especially in sumo mode
