I think people need to remember that thunder power on Rajang is unnatural. They stole it by consuming Kirin's horn. That's why their physical attack is completely normal.

I never thought I’d see the day where Rajang gets basically dominated, even straight from the get go Goss dodged and hit Rajang in the back! This is why I come back to these fights so much, the unexpected match ups and the truly shocking results! Always makes these fights so fun to watch, keep it up please 😄
Gonna be honest. I think lore wise, Goss still has a chance here. Yes Rajang is Elder level. But Goss is fucking huge, crafty, and agile despite what it's lumbering build would have you believe. Rajang's glaring weakness is how squishy he is. He's got muscle on muscle sure, but he doesn't really have much to protect against Goss' weaponry. I think one good blow from that ice blade, and Rajang could suffer a fatal injury. Obviously it's usually more in favor of Rajang, but Goss would likely put up a helluva fight. Given there's a rule of thumb in nature. That being: you just don't fuck with a bear

damn, the smaller health pool, flurry punches doing minimal damage, and knockdowns being harder for rajang really did not help him at all in this fight. on top of the, iceblight already adding to his slower movement speed compared to iceborne, he's kinda a jobber now more than he already was in turf war.
I would actually pay good money to commission a comic or an animated video of these two having a proper fistfight, with hyped up moments like Harag trying to swing an ice blade only for Rajang to not only catch it mid swing, but shatter it on pure grip strength alone, or Harag grabbing onto one of Rajang's horns with one of it's bare hands and use the other to deck Rajang in the face and subsequently break off the horn it was holding from the sheer force of the impact
Even ice blades aside, his paws are a fucking menace, it's like a real bear watched too much x-men, those claws are huge, and it has articulated fingers, it would fuckin skin any foe alive.

@@ericocuaca854 well based on the lore, the deviljho vs alatreon fight is absolutely ridiculous, the only monsters that can beat alatreon are red and white fatalis and maybe Dire Miralis, deviljho wouldn't stand a chance against alatreon. But with magnamalo vs apex mizutsune I'm not really sure, magnamalo is an elder dragon level (he can put a fight to elder dragons tho it can't win, just injury the dragon) and apex mizutsune I think is in a bit lower category, but I really don't know that one
Lets face it, any animal that is capable of utilizing its self defense mechanism into a deadly weapon can be considered as an high-intellectual creature, and those are the most deadly.
I did not expect this outcome but iam glad that Goss won in the end. I wanted to see them fight ever since i saw Goss in the trailers of base Rise. This was very fun to watch.

@Manny MS im pretty sure capcom nerfed iceborne master rank exclusive rajang to high rank in rise, so thats why it felt so underwhelming. In sunbreak im sure he will be much tougher
Strongest Bear (unbuffed) vs strongest monke (unbuffed). Monke is a higher Tier, but Goss is still quiet the Badass. Also who knows, maybe Element does contribute to Damage different from World. Are you using the Ingame Attack, or are both equal in that regard?
@Sunae we only altered the HP to shorten the video length, it seems rajang ingame has higher atk but lower hp and vice versa for goss. However, there are so many factors to consider. e.g. stemina, rage mode buffs, rage mode length, impact of blights and so on.
@@MonsterSlayerSquad Yeah I saw it, biggest Problem was Rajang flinched so much by every single Hit of Goss, but other Factors like his Punch Kombo beeing shorter in Highrank, and his Beam having good Damage, but after the initial Hit it lingers for to long, played into it. Here’s my take on this battle: In actuality, I think Rajang would win this one, or at least Iceborne’s rendition of it. Rise’s Rajang was nerfed into oblivion, making it much less of a threat than in Iceborne. As much as I like Goss, Rajang is on par with Elder Dragons, along with Deviljho and Bazelguese. Maybe you could do a fight with Goss Harag and Bazelguese? Also I’m not sure if Deviljho would fit with the mechanics of Rise, but I REALLY want it in Sunbreak. It’s fights are so entertaining, and after all it’s a Tyrannosaurus-like monster in the shape of a Pickle. I guess I have a bias because it’s my favorite, but never the less I’d love to see it interact with the other Monsters!

Bazel runs away from pink rathian and jho runs away from black diablos, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to assume the ice bear with high intelligence and similar strength to rajang would be able to hold its own or beat rajang

yes rajang is on par with elder dragons, but i legitimately think that this is how the fight would go realistically as well. It’s exactly like a Grizzly bear vs a silver back gorilla in real life. A bear has more weaponary and is a lot heavier overall. Goss Harag is a perfect match for Rajang. They are destined to be rivals (imo). Id say that in the wild, these fights would go 70-30 or 60-40 Goss’ way.
For the longest time I put off watching this one because I was sure the Rajang would win because of course. Finally got to see it and I just say…I like Goss Harag a lot more now.
@bestintheworld568 rise really changed a round a few monsters, I now love kushala and jyura fight but damn rajang getting those nerfs was annoying. Just hoping master rank will revive the old rajang we all love
@@MonsterSlayerSquad Agreed. The Jyura fight is much more exciting now, before it was just a boring "slap the fish around" thing. And yes, I think Rajang, Bazel and Tigrex need a bit of a boost. Rise almost stuck a middle finger up to the World/Iceborne monsters.

All the rise apexes are on the same tier as magnamalo, my guesses are, perhaps they’ve been spotted fending off or killing Ed level monsters (ie goss vs rajang, rakna vs bazel, mudron vs jho)

@@user-er6vz8nd5x I know since apes are at around 6 feet 400 lbs while bears are at around 12 feet 1500 lbs, and like I said Goss was surprisingly bigger than Rajang and I haven’t even played Rise yet.
Interesting. Guess that goes to show that even though a monster may be more difficult, that does not necessarily mean it's stronger than easier monsters.
Admittedly, wasn't expecting Goss to come out on top, but given that rajang was quite heavily nerfed in rise, I guess the results aren't as far fetched as they might initially sound. Then again, bazel was also nerfed in world to accommodate for jho's arrival, but still managed to consistently hold its own. All in all, I think the fight was pretty ecliptic and entertaining, especially since these two are the strongest fanged beasts that are in rise. Though, I could do without the salty rajang fans trying to justify why rajang lost. I mean, lore wise, rajang could win, but then again, Goss only has one turf war with tetra, and is on the same tier as magna, who is ED tier. So, perhaps Goss could be as well...? Of course, this is all speculation, but still, it is fun to think about.
@TCG you make some great points, I definitely saw the massive nerfs rajang got, from losing its guaranteed drops to no longer be able to dish out fixed damages and multi-hits. I hoping that with sunbreak on the horizon, we could see a return of iceborne rajang to master rank in rise. I would love to find out where goss stands in the hierarchy, its a strange one with some of the most interesting move sets i've seen in rise.

Goss harag wins the round against the SUPER SAIYEN MONKEY!🎉 He is tough and I still want to know his lore because not only is he strong with his bulky build but he is nimble and agile as well with high iq and battle iq (I remember it saying gods harag uses the coldness in his body from being in the frozen wasteland as a weapon which means he is smart, plus add that to him being sadistic or whatever when he knocks the hunter and starts walking slowly like he is enjoying the hunt. That would put him as a probably average to above average intelligence.) but yea goss harag joins the spot of underrated monsters!
I came in thinking rajang would have a significant speed advantage but I still wanted goss to win Turns out the speed advantage didn’t matter and in fact goss kept up with rajang to an extent Well should’ve went with my heart on this one

Shows you how much Rajang got nerfed gameplay-wise. :( A real shame, because Iceborne's very fast incarnation of Rajang would've been perfect, given the speed and freedom of movement we have now. That being said, gameplay aside, I think lore wise Rajang would realistically win. Goss is quite up there but not at elder level, while Rajang manages to go toe to toe with (and bodyslam) Velkhana of all things, who even wields the element Rajang himself is weak to.
Realisitcally Rajang would lose against everything above it's weight, anything with armor and anything with wings. Even Nerscylla would realistically win

I never thought of this but compared to 4u rajang (cuz that one's the most i've experienced fighting) rise rajang is muuuch slower and less agressive. Now i get why people complaining about how easy it is in rise
To be fair to Rajang, Goss had a 1400 HP lead and by the end it only had 1400 total. If they had equal health pools, this would've come down to a "both are at 14HP and can only take 1 more hit" scenario, and it'll just be a quick draw to who hits first. Props to both Rajang and Goss.

@Felipe NS dude this is rise. He was nerfed hard. It only does the same moves and they are slower. In world he is ridiculous to fight because of how fast he is. There are more moves in world that he barely does here. Rajang never lost a turf war and only tied with Nergigante and Deviljho which would both beat Goss. It would just make sense for Rajang to win. Plus Rajang could just blast him each time. He is way faster than goss and not agile. Trust me I know a lot about Rajang.
Given that Rajang cannonically would probably have Goss on the Ground with Just a couple Punches, I'm surprised Goss won this one. Game Mechanics are nice

Great video but next time can you try to be more impartial with your placement like you placed your self almost all the time in favor or goss harag and that s not realy fair or maybe try to develop a mod to change the agro of monsters so they will just attack each other’s !
@@Mysticshosh42 to be honest goss have the body advantage in comparison to normal elder dragons remember he hits with all the power in his hand and if he got in the corner he is just gonna jump on his enemy I don't think a normal elder could defeat him in a hand to hand combat and even if they used there power same would goss he got to giants blades and ice beam and he is quite fast when he get angry so I think after what I said if he was in world he would have been a true beast of a monster in comparison

To be perfectly honest, rajang is ridiculously too strong for what he is anyways so I’m glad he lost.
@Manny MS im pretty sure capcom nerfed iceborne master rank exclusive rajang to high rank in rise, so thats why it felt so underwhelming. In sunbreak im sure he will be much tougher

Strongest Bear (unbuffed) vs strongest monke (unbuffed). Monke is a higher Tier, but Goss is still quiet the Badass. Also who knows, maybe Element does contribute to Damage different from World.
Are you using the Ingame Attack, or are both equal in that regard?
@Sunae we only altered the HP to shorten the video length, it seems rajang ingame has higher atk but lower hp and vice versa for goss. However, there are so many factors to consider. e.g. stemina, rage mode buffs, rage mode length, impact of blights and so on.
@@MonsterSlayerSquad Yeah I saw it, biggest Problem was Rajang flinched so much by every single Hit of Goss, but other Factors like his Punch Kombo beeing shorter in Highrank, and his Beam having good Damage, but after the initial Hit it lingers for to long, played into it. How the mighty has fallen.

Goss Harag might have actually evolved its ice Abilities in response to Rajang competition.

加えてラージャン同様、ゴシャハギも近、中、遠距離それぞれに対応する攻撃手段があります。
通常生物でありながら、ゴシャハギにも充分な勝機がある戦いになり得たのかもしれませんね。
個人的に、ゴシャハギを応援していたので、理屈抜きで嬉しい勝利でした。

Here’s my take on this battle:
In actuality, I think Rajang would win this one, or at least Iceborne’s rendition of it. Rise’s Rajang was nerfed into oblivion, making it much less of a threat than in Iceborne. As much as I like Goss, Rajang is on par with Elder Dragons, along with Deviljho and Bazelguese.
Maybe you could do a fight with Goss Harag and Bazelguese?
Also I’m not sure if Deviljho would fit with the mechanics of Rise, but I REALLY want it in Sunbreak. It’s fights are so entertaining, and after all it’s a Tyrannosaurus-like monster in the shape of a Pickle. I guess I have a bias because it’s my favorite, but never the less I’d love to see it interact with the other Monsters!
But this isn't iceborne's rajang. Besides, rajang was exclusively master rank in iceborne. Although I do agree with you on the pickle and I would LOVE to see Goss vs Bazel
I mean, bazel was also nerfed in world, so that it wouldn't overshadow jho, but it still managed to hold its ground, defeating nergi, Kirin, Vaal, and occasionally, jho.

Bazel runs away from pink rathian and jho runs away from black diablos, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to assume the ice bear with high intelligence and similar strength to rajang would be able to hold its own or beat rajang
Hoping they bring Glavenus to Rise as well just so I can see it and Goss do a unique swordfight Turf War

I really wish we got a Goss variant that’s like…a 9 or 10 star threat. In his intro he’s fighting a Rajang and just absolutely obliterates the Monkey.

yes rajang is on par with elder dragons, but i legitimately think that this is how the fight would go realistically as well. It’s exactly like a Grizzly bear vs a silver back gorilla in real life. A bear has more weaponary and is a lot heavier overall. Goss Harag is a perfect match for Rajang. They are destined to be rivals (imo). Id say that in the wild, these fights would go 70-30 or 60-40 Goss’ way.
In lore, if rajang transformed it would be a instant lose to Goss, but this is just gameplay
I loved it when they both went red fist and ice sword at the same time!
For the longest time I put off watching this one because I was sure the Rajang would win because of course. Finally got to see it and I just say…I like Goss Harag a lot more now.
My two favorite monsters, duking it out. I love the Rajang fight, but I'm glad my cuddly boi Goss won.

Kind of sad how nerfed Rajang is in Rise. They seemed to have accidentally buffed Jyuratodus instead for some reason.
@bestintheworld568 rise really changed a round a few monsters, I now love kushala and jyura fight but damn rajang getting those nerfs was annoying. Just hoping master rank will revive the old rajang we all love
@@MonsterSlayerSquad Agreed. The Jyura fight is much more exciting now, before it was just a boring "slap the fish around" thing. And yes, I think Rajang, Bazel and Tigrex need a bit of a boost. Rise almost stuck a middle finger up to the World/Iceborne monsters.

@@user-er6vz8nd5x I know since apes are at around 6 feet 400 lbs while bears are at around 12 feet 1500 lbs, and like I said Goss was surprisingly bigger than Rajang and I haven’t even played Rise yet.

Interesting. Guess that goes to show that even though a monster may be more difficult, that does not necessarily mean it's stronger than easier monsters.

Admittedly, wasn't expecting Goss to come out on top, but given that rajang was quite heavily nerfed in rise, I guess the results aren't as far fetched as they might initially sound.
Then again, bazel was also nerfed in world to accommodate for jho's arrival, but still managed to consistently hold its own.
All in all, I think the fight was pretty ecliptic and entertaining, especially since these two are the strongest fanged beasts that are in rise. Though, I could do without the salty rajang fans trying to justify why rajang lost. I mean, lore wise, rajang could win, but then again, Goss only has one turf war with tetra, and is on the same tier as magna, who is ED tier. So, perhaps Goss could be as well...?
Of course, this is all speculation, but still, it is fun to think about.
@TCG you make some great points, I definitely saw the massive nerfs rajang got, from losing its guaranteed drops to no longer be able to dish out fixed damages and multi-hits. I hoping that with sunbreak on the horizon, we could see a return of iceborne rajang to master rank in rise.
I would love to find out where goss stands in the hierarchy, its a strange one with some of the most interesting move sets i've seen in rise.

Goss harag wins the round against the SUPER SAIYEN MONKEY!🎉 He is tough and I still want to know his lore because not only is he strong with his bulky build but he is nimble and agile as well with high iq and battle iq (I remember it saying gods harag uses the coldness in his body from being in the frozen wasteland as a weapon which means he is smart, plus add that to him being sadistic or whatever when he knocks the hunter and starts walking slowly like he is enjoying the hunt. That would put him as a probably average to above average intelligence.) but yea goss harag joins the spot of underrated monsters!

Damn. Shows you how much Rajang got nerfed gameplay-wise. :( A real shame, because Iceborne's very fast incarnation of Rajang would've been perfect, given the speed and freedom of movement we have now. That being said, gameplay aside, I think lore wise Rajang would realistically win. Goss is quite up there but not at elder level, while Rajang manages to go toe to toe with (and bodyslam) Velkhana of all things, who even wields the element Rajang himself is weak to.
Realisitcally Rajang would lose against everything above it's weight, anything with armor and anything with wings.
Even Nerscylla would realistically win

I never thought of this but compared to 4u rajang (cuz that one's the most i've experienced fighting) rise rajang is muuuch slower and less agressive. Now i get why people complaining about how easy it is in rise

To be fair to Rajang, Goss had a 1400 HP lead and by the end it only had 1400 total.
If they had equal health pools, this would've come down to a "both are at 14HP and can only take 1 more hit" scenario, and it'll just be a quick draw to who hits first.

@Felipe NS dude this is rise. He was nerfed hard. It only does the same moves and they are slower. In world he is ridiculous to fight because of how fast he is. There are more moves in world that he barely does here. Rajang never lost a turf war and only tied with Nergigante and Deviljho which would both beat Goss. It would just make sense for Rajang to win. Plus Rajang could just blast him each time. He is way faster than goss and not agile. Trust me I know a lot about Rajang.
Rajang is the strongest non elder dragon in lore and in game. It’s ridiculous how strong he is.
Given that Rajang cannonically would probably have Goss on the Ground with Just a couple Punches, I'm surprised Goss won this one. Game Mechanics are nice

@@Mysticshosh42 to be honest goss have the body advantage in comparison to normal elder dragons remember he hits with all the power in his hand and if he got in the corner he is just gonna jump on his enemy I don't think a normal elder could defeat him in a hand to hand combat and even if they used there power same would goss he got to giants blades and ice beam and he is quite fast when he get angry so I think after what I said if he was in world he would have been a true beast of a monster in comparison
