This game epic. It was unique as hell and I dare say no other game manage to recapture its greatness - and probably never will. Memorable. Challenging. Smart. Innovative. Amazing combat, archery, Dragon gameplay. Tons of unique terrifying enemies, vast enemy variety. Gameplay that's constantly keeping you on your toes and on edge. Flexible, responsive and in-your-face difficult. You screw up, you die. Dark Souls of its day. Great sound effects and ambiance. Super cool weapons and armors with special attributes, powers and features. It was way-way ahead of its time: graphically it looked gorgeous. Had amazing physics. Cool body physic engine when you interact with objects your character changes her pose, turn her body and lend her hand accordingly. Cool effective dismembered mechanism - that was actually tactical (sometimes) and gruesome.I AM NOT TALKING OUT OF NOSTALGIA - I LOOKED AT GAMEPLAY VIDEOS TODAY. Tough intuitive air to air combat, and even more challenging and engaging ground to air - yikes!! Sweet cool and beloved Dragon companion, with decent AI. You share your health and he taunts you for being lazy! How cool is that!!!?? Arokh is my favorite dragon of all time in gaming. Fantastic brilliant level design blending closed and open spaces. You would dread going indoors and underground, literally surviving the dungeons, creepy dark corridors and layers of enemies. You would feel suffocated underground and relived when you finally escaped and reached outdoors again - as if you'd actually feel the breeze and fresh air when It was a game of survival adventure. That feeling like something else... Every puzzle, every nook and cranny offered a different challenge, something else to lookforward too and fear at the same time. It was a thrilling blast that sucked you in - in so many levels. I remember how delighted I was running away from the dungeon's edge toward the light, hearing my dragon beckoning. Then seeing his AI blast the orcs to pieces burning them to cinders. Or one time when I heard my dragon flies on top my me (was underground) I was so excited and happy, then I started having my HP going down rapidly - he was attacked by Arial Drakes - I started to run - fearing for him and myself alike - jumped outside and joined him: Dragon in the air, Rynn on the ground with her bow, possibly magical seeking arrows. That was cool and epic beyond words. And it wasn't really scripted. Of course great atmospheric musical score. For me this is the pinnacle of the golden age of pure action-adventure 3rd persons. To this day - every time I see a new game, especially those remotely featuring a dragon - I keep looking back and thinking of Drakan Order of The Flame. I always end up disappointed - no this isn't it either! No game will ever be like that. Drakan my childhood dream, a masterpiece - Thank you. I still wish other games would be like you.

The thing is, you can still buy the ps2 game and play it on the PC so it's not pirating. Emulators these days are highly advanced already and I played the game 3 times on it already. Played the game twice on the regular console, which makes it a total of 5 times over the course of 10 years already ^^ I suggest you look at a video of PumaB which you'll find if you type in Drakan pcsx2, which is the name of the emulator. It scales the game up to fullHD and with better graphics in general. Quite the experience I must say. Emulators are completely legal and free if you just own the game yourself. Recently I found this masterpiece of a soundtrack eventhough I never really played this. I loved the music in the ancient gates so I figured to give this a try!
I ordered a real copy of it. I manually had to do diskswapping magic to crack my PS2 to even get it to play. Then i had not TV to play the NTSC version on, and then my memorycard got corrupted. I have it physically, never got to play properly T.T
The game is continued the Pysgnosis create Drakan: The Ancient's Gates for PS2. (The game is very difficult).. The best is Drakan the order of flame.... I'M CRYINGGGG

It had an annoying auto-aim that placed a huge green arrow spiralling around the enemies, forcing you to only hit their centre, making crits like chopping off arms and such impossible. (I never used it except for against flyers, since they'd made aerial combat impossibly bad so you couldn't hit anything without it.) Also, the magic was kinda meh. Didn't finish it. Loved the first PC game to bits though. :')
Download and convert this video to mp3, then reconvert to .wav. After that import such wav to Guitar Pro. It will transform wav into midi, then you can have fun with the effects. Its awesome.
Again, I can give you the files if you need. (mp3s, I can do Wavs too) Like the other comment said, you'd have to use the wav in guitar pro to make it into a midi.
This was and is one of my favourite video game soundtracks of all time. I haven't played the game in years, but I still remember the feeling of riding Arokh above the beautiful landscape while vibing to this absolute masterpiece like it was yesterday. 🤍🥺

Ah yes! Islands! This and the intro levels of Unreal II and Heavy Metal F.A.K.K.² have something in common: Atmosphere! Imaging a amazing view with blue skies, yellow-ish horizont, huge ocean and multiple planets orbiting the world, viewed from there!
