this was my childhood game and i'm happy to see people remember it. it sparked my love for video games and the fantasy genre and it will always have a special place in my heart
I've never forgotten the peasant mercilessly skewered in the throat in intro as he begs for his life on his knees. The sound he makes when pierced made the scene leave a strong impression on my young mind. There's also the guy being interrogated on a rack, later on.
00:00 - Medieval 03:47 - Order Corrupted 07:53 - Industrial 12:16 - Order Subterranean 16:13 - Dark Union 20:20 - Subdued 25:11 - New Order It's not complete though, it lacks the main menu music, Nighttime (Ruined Village) and Subterranean (Succubus Lair)
Game's still enjoyable to this day. Arokh's AI gets the job done, flying is executed very well, you have an inventory system and weapon/armor durability, limited use abilities for weapons which makes exploration fun. Frigging Dragon Riding. ooof.
This, Gothic and LOTR Fellowship of the ring (2001 game) are in the same category for me. Very similar ambient and music, all great games! It's a shame LOTR and Drakan aren't on GOG though...
Man a special game to me in many ways ... I feel so much melancholy when I play it or hear the soundtrack, the second game I want to play so badly as well but it was only ps2 sadly. I learn the very first song on this soundtrack on keyboard right now and it is just masterfully crafted like the rest of the game. Just one downside, I wonder if the developer may had shortcomings of money during the development of the game because the deep story and lore and everything vanished around the succubus lair level. Anyone else has that impression? That the game rushes to an abprubt ending from there on. Like the devs had more in mind but could not do it?
I, for one, would deeply appreciate it if you were to list the track names (or at least the context in which each song plays) in the description or here in the comments.
Well I played it. There are Drakan gameplay vids on this channel too :P. Perhaps PC had not exact the same tracks as console? Cause these were definetely all Tracks on my version.

Great music for a good game. Can't see why Drakan wasn't more popular.
Just bought it and started playing again in 2023. It still holds up
2021 and i'm enjoying this music, after long long time
2022... still listening and enjoying
@@Nunogomez2023 and still listening.

жизненно, но теперь таких не делают
Im still enjoy music 2023
2022…and I still listen to this 😌
I miss the 90s.
2024... longing for a Steam release. Not even needed to remaster.
а що повинен бути реліз у стімі?

How old where you?
I think that we are all waiting for a new Drakan , it whould be like a dream
I was so pissed they releases part 2 on ps2 😢
The closest we will get would be Doom: Dark Ages.

Remember playing this online. Awesome!
I miss that great game, and I feel pity because the soundrack is can't find on Spotify :(
one of the best games I played back in the days! The same year came out Soul Reaver 1 and Heavy Metal F.A.K.K 2, great year for gaming this was!
ooh memories

Игра детства. Варварские барабаны, флейты и синтезатор - оркестр который мы потеряли.

Imagine a remake in unreal engine 5
Where is Succubus lair ost?
I don't think this guy played Drakan otherwise he'd definitely not forget to put Ruined Village in there.

LOL at Rynn holding her sword like she's any use whatsoever.
(Rynn is a chocolate teapot in this game.)
Meaning fragile?

Perhaps the same could be said of all people...
