Dominika summed it up very well. Polish guys are good to get married to because they are family folks, very loyal to their wives, they love kids, extremely hard-working and very handy.
I'm a Polish man living in Denmark. It's funny how whenever I open doors for my female colleagues at work, they almost react as if it's a provocation or insult. ''I know how to open a door'', they say. I also brought chocolates and flowers to work for women's day and they all said I shouldn't have, because it's an unnecessary commercial holiday that I shouldn't support. They still sent pictures to their husbands, complaining that they received more from me than them. XD I miss my Polish girls very much. They are the best women in the world.
Polish men are the best, they are handsome, handy, protecting, hard-working and self-confident. I was in couple with: twice with French, 1 Bulgarian and 1 Hungarian man and I have to say my Polish husband rocks the way! If you are Bulgarian, like me, don't miss your chance and try a relationship with a Polish man!
Okay so I was dating a guy from Poland and we broke up. But his mom is totally on my side and still likes me alot. We still often talk alot. Mainly because she is my teacher haha, but for real, she is awesome
My brother in law is Polish and we love him. He's been the best addition to the family and he's now the gold standard of a good man. He's an amazing dad, husband, friend and family member. BUT my sister gets side eye from his Polish friends when he helps take care of his baby as if only women should mind children which doesn't go over well in our Canadian culture. My sister also had trouble with his family because she wouldnt convert to Catholicism and that was a problem for them now the family won't speak to them anymore even after they had a baby. The same thing happened when someone came out as gay in the family and they were completely ostracized. I like a certain amount of traditionalism that's found in the Polish culture but there can be an inflexibility and lack of compassion if something goes against their religious values.
Before you get married: discuss income, debt, religion, parenting styles, family, future goals and expectations, and whatever else you deem necessary. If religion seemed to be a sensitive issue in your sister's relationship with the Polish boyfriend, in my opinion BOTH of them are at fault to sweep a possible contention under the rug. Marriage is a lot of work! Best of luck to them 👍❤️
BTW taking care of children by fathers is a norm in Poland. Men even get paternity leave when a child is born. Clearly that one man and his family have some issues, but they are not Polish issues.
I came across your channel and decided to subscribe because I have a lot to learn from here, I have always liked Poland and I would like to learn polish
I've been trying to learn Polish for about six weeks so far, DuoLingo has a three unit course. I can understand what I can hear and read but the spelling is challenging for me. It makes Russian seem easier.
I'm Brazilian, I like to be similar to what was said about Polish men, I would certainly have a great chance of being happy with a romantic and traditional Polish woman
Hi Dominika, just found out your channel and this video, and I loved it! 😊 I am mexican and lived in France for 6 yrs, so because of my culture I'm used to a kind of type of men, I had a beautiful relationship with a polish man (half polish, but still) and I can say all of this is true, even though we split up, I definitely think it was one of the best relationships I've ever had. Now, I'm looking and thinking about moving to Poland, I better start learning polish lol! ❤
As Polish man we treat women equally intellectually but recognize that we have different attributes. We will protect you with our lives. We are as loyal as they come unless we are betrayed
I am a Polish guy living in the States married to an American girl. It is interesting that our daughter who is half Polish thanks to me, is more like me: old school, down to earth and does not buy into leftist ideologies even though she is surrounded by it living in the West Coast.
Same here maybe more than half Polish. My mother's family was Lithuanian. My father himself 100% Polish. I live in Israel for several years now. The Polish Israeli generation was my father's generation, the natives do not do these things. So much for "nice Jewish boys."
I’m happily married to a Polish man. Who’s nice, helpful, hardworking, honest, caring, great father. Always puts his family first. Good friend and gentleman 😅.
I grew up in a Polish household in Canada; whenever we saw someone on the street in sweatpants, we just assumed they were heading to the welfare office lol
Poland : the land where men LOVE being men (and don't wanna be feminine) and women LOVE being women (and don't wanna be masculine). Even though everybody knows everyine has both energies inside. The country of actually healthy people.
Agreed. Every relationship needs balance. Toxic is optional and not caused by being a manly man who can assemble furniture, tune an engine, drive without GPS or AI, and opens doors but remembers to bring flowers on a birthday. I see no threat to my autonomy if that's all he's doing to be masculine, I can put on some makeup and a matching outfit and say thanks and mean it. It is not much to ask, after all.
Dziękuję Dominika, for your informative and direct video. Very honest, and appreciated. You speak from my son's generation. I am an older gal (66+) living in Israel, where not every guy does these things. Gals your age are feminine but also carry automatic weapons. I was raised, much as you were, by a Polish father who was himself born and raised in Poland. We did not compliment or praise in my family, and although my mother did put on make up and hairspray along with her daily dresses, I never did, probably a result of my being raised in Israel and the United States. We had no extended family, my father was the youngest of a holocaust survivor family. My mother was also the youngest in her family and both were older when they had me, the only child. So, no in-laws that I've ever personally had to deal with or observed my parents deal with. My Polish father did live with the few siblings that managed to get out of Poland, until he married, when he was 38 or so. By American standards, that's old, but not by Polish standards. As I get older, I miss these role models more, because they allow a certain dance, a balance to happen and provide opportunities for connection. The symbolic meaning of little things: flowers, a door opened, a message returned, a smile, eye contact, putting on earrings. Little things that tell a person: I care about you enough to get out of my total comfort zone for you. Even "if" in the grand scheme of things, we both know it doesn't matter. I look forward to visiting Poland for the first time. Aviva in Akko
my Polish man is totally wonderful, very gentleman, he always want to pay, but i invite him for lunch or dinner every now and then. he has the best humor, he carries all my bags😂makes me look like i am making him my slave😂i love my Polish guy so much❤
So i thought my Polish co-worker likes me because he open doors for me😂 Now i understand it’s their culture. Anyways only him is doing that for me other polish men co-worker is not doing it for me that’s i have a crush on him.
I definitely found my ex polish boyfriend not only masculine but sexiest and it's something that I couldn't stand (no that all polish guys are like that, but I was unlucky I guess...)
You have bad luck. That what its in video talked, its abaut normal standard for polish man in my opinion. Personaly i dont know any polish man who are sexist ( but we like this kind of humor). A lot of man who live poland, are under norms...
but you are right, how wise you are. But I want a man to cook, to wash, to clean like I do, Sweden influenced me a lot. But some of the feminine things, decoration, clothes, small details I might do better and he might be better at hitting the head 0f a nail. I don't like men with to "left hands". Also the family, it is so important. When I was young I never thought about it. But family and friends are very important. However I observed that not many families click with each other. I see all the time problems. As they say in Poland, one looks best with the family in pictures.
The new generation Polish men are like that. My man (who is Polish) does help me with home tasks and he's the best father on earth. He loves spending time with our daughter and helps me with everything when it comes to taking care for our baby. The only thing he's not really into is cooking, but when he cooks he actually makes the best dishes.

Polish men are perfect balance between ~`western weak men` and `strict traditional culture men`.
So for me slavic men are the best.

There is no toxic masculinity.
