Overrated? Besides Japan where Jotaro is really popular, I almost never see anything positive about Jotaro on the internet in the western parts of the world. I think Jotaro is like the least popular jojo in America. I'm a Josuke 4 fanboy till the day I die though.
I think western fans like myself hate Jotaro even more than they hate Giorno. I only really started to dislike Jotaro once this game came around, and I realized just how much I dislike Jotaro in part 3 in comparison to later parts. I'm fine with him when he appears in part 4 and 6, but here, he just gets on my nerves with his "cool guy badass" personality and massive plot armor
Hugo Hikari to each his own. There are definitely times in which I hated jotaro in part 3, but he had a lot of awesome moments (especially during the egypt arc of part 3), and his fight with Dio was fucking awesome. I definitely agree that he's more interesting in part 4, as he acts as a mentor to josuke of sorts. I'm actually a huge josuke fan so I really like how josuke contrasts jotaro so heavily.
Oh yeah, definitely, I'm not gonna deny Jotaro had some real awesome moments during part 3. Having read part way into part 6 so far, Jotaro's fight against Dio is still one of my favorites in the entire series, mainly because it's one of the very few fights in part 3 that Jotaro actually struggled to win
Godzilla Jotaro has a lot of subtle development during part 3. This can be seen in his reaction to Joseph getting succ'd. In part 4 he has been matured and hardened by his experiences in part 3, establishing him as a reliable mentor and ally.

Overrated? Besides Japan where Jotaro is really popular, I almost never see anything positive about Jotaro on the internet in the western parts of the world. I think Jotaro is like the least popular jojo in America. I'm a Josuke 4 fanboy till the day I die though.
I think western fans like myself hate Jotaro even more than they hate Giorno. I only really started to dislike Jotaro once this game came around, and I realized just how much I dislike Jotaro in part 3 in comparison to later parts. I'm fine with him when he appears in part 4 and 6, but here, he just gets on my nerves with his "cool guy badass" personality and massive plot armor
Hugo Hikari to each his own. There are definitely times in which I hated jotaro in part 3, but he had a lot of awesome moments (especially during the egypt arc of part 3), and his fight with Dio was fucking awesome. I definitely agree that he's more interesting in part 4, as he acts as a mentor to josuke of sorts. I'm actually a huge josuke fan so I really like how josuke contrasts jotaro so heavily.
Oh yeah, definitely, I'm not gonna deny Jotaro had some real awesome moments during part 3. Having read part way into part 6 so far, Jotaro's fight against Dio is still one of my favorites in the entire series, mainly because it's one of the very few fights in part 3 that Jotaro actually struggled to win
Godzilla Jotaro has a lot of subtle development during part 3. This can be seen in his reaction to Joseph getting succ'd. In part 4 he has been matured and hardened by his experiences in part 3, establishing him as a reliable mentor and ally.
