Some things that actually helped to control my hair fall include: (1) I discontinued wearing hair ties because it leds to tension damage. (2) I started massaging my scalp 2 times a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while bending over & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. Topical Minoxidil 2% or 5% is usually the first line of treatment for alopecia areata. If not effective, you can go for other topical or oral corticosteroids or injections.
But since alopecia is an autoimmune reaction of the body, you should address your immune system as well. Healthy diet is recommended. A gluten-free, or low carb diet is actually highly recommended. And foods that are rich in protein since hair is made of protein are good options. Eggs, meat, fish, nuts & green leafy vegetables. No rice. No breads. No pasta. And even vegetables or fruits that are high in carbs (such as corn, potatoes, bananas, apples) should not be taken. All carbs should be avoided as much as possible.
