This is awesome! I can’t wait to learn some of my favorite songs from someone who actually created the songs. This is going to be a great channel! Thank you for this!
20 years! Can't believe it was that long ago. I came to watch you guys in Manchester England when you toured that first album and I still think it's one of the best shows I've seen to date. I've been reminiscing and playing some of your riffs after watching your videos and it's cool to see your contribution to the songs. There isn't a lot of your lead guitar work out there but you can obviously jam. How about a video showing what scales you use for lead, the gear you use and your approach to soloing 👍😁
Great song I play in my band all the time. Was one of the first songs I could play from start to finish and it made me feel amazing. You missed your parts in the solo which I love.
Hey Dave, I have a question about your performance of this during Live 8 2005. How do you play the beginning/intro part? You have both your picking hand and other hand covering the pickups so I cannot make it up, but it sounds rad
ah yes!with my right hand, i go between scraping the low E just a couple millimeters at a time and pushing the G string repeatedly against the treble pickup. with the left hand i'm just alternating the volume slowly off ad on. I've got the green Line 6 delay going (see video gear rundoun) and a boss digital delay as well as the wah wah slowly going up and down. there you go!
I ran a cover of this a couple of years ago - struggle with the solo, but it’s easily one of my favourite VR songs 🤘 th-cam.com/video/SqFPDyUUeNE/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
Dude this is rad
Dude, thanx!
