I want to thank you both for your posts. I've found them so helpful and clear to understand.Your not whining about how horrible the platforms are. Come to Vegas and dash in my neck of the woods. Having fun and making money.
That's my whole thing I love being on time appropriately, so I don't get pulled over... but it makes it hard when you get stacked orders even though they're going in the same direction but you have to wait while the other order is being finished.
Yes, I'm picky with my orders. Like last night, I got a batch for I think $10 or $12 for a grocery store, I hesitated, and another shopper grabbed it. Few mins later, I got a double shop for the same store for $26. Customer B tipped me and extra $3 on top of their $9 tip. We ended up talking for maybe 10 mins after I delivered their order, so I figured that helped her increase it. She was pretty nice, telling me about her dog who doesn't like baths and how she's a country girl now living in my big city. Ok enough rambling. Looking forward to more videos!
If there is a slow restaurant and it’s a stack and they are close to each other. When you drive past the slow one. Arrive and select order still be prepared when I arrived. Then jump to task for the other restaurant and go get the other food. I’m pretty sure they send a notification through their tablet. That says a driver is arriving and also if you say it’s not ready the tablet will say that too.
I actually love Walmart b/c you get the exact aisle and shelf segment (or cooler door number for refrigerated product) and you then use self checkout; and just bag the items if it is from the spark app. Just ended up getting a delivery only Walmart for $37 for 9 miles with 2 drop offs plus that delivery triggered a $9 for 3 delivery bonus for me.
97.19% on time, I text DD all the time when I'm waiting on food and tell them to push back delivery time so I don't get dinged. Works a good bit of the time.
The mileage is very important if it takes you somewhere that you will not get orders and have to drive back, or if Dashing does it take you out of your zone? BTW: we miss your CANCEL graphic.
Can you call the restaurant and tell him you on your way To be waiting for you to pull up If you're just 2 minutes behind closing the time That you have a pick up there
Hint: instead of asking the customer "how's it goin'?" Or "how are you?," say "HI, thanks for ordering from Doordash! Enjoy!" Why? Because some customers will tell you how they are, and it might not be good.
When I work at night, especially if it's late, I really throw the entire model of $'s per mile out the window. For example here in Queens I may get an offer for let's say a McDonalds delivery starting in Bayside going out to St. Francis hospital in Pt. Washington for $12 driving 8 miles. I'd NEVER do this during the day but at night I can bang it out in 20 minutes. Then get a 2nd order somewhere and hit my $20 per hour goal. Basically once the traffic is off the road, I'll take anything that gets me to my goal quickly. Distance isn't a concern in my decision making process once traffic has settled down.
I tried pay by hour. Lasted 15 minutes as the first order was for 15 miles. Second order was for4 miles. Got paid 4.10 for that order. On pay by order I would have made 4.50. Third order was for 24 miles. There were my two declines. Will never do it again. Our zone is 10 per hr. I make way more doing by order.
Uber sends out an order and also sends that same order as a trip radar for everyone else. So when you aren’t able to match, the person with the ping gets the order.
Someone should give you a check for all the incidental free advertising you do for coffee. I am sure I stop for coffee every night because I hear that jingle in my head😜
DD on time/early is completely messed up in the app and has been for awhile. My last 100 deliveries were all on time or early and it still knocks me back. I should be at 100% but the app knocked me back from 98.5 and now at 97.63. It is so stupid but of course typical DD.
What app was sending you a Walmart order? On another note I love hearing the native New Yorker accents and really wish I could get great pizza in Indiana. 😆
With regards to dollars to mile I have scaled back. I started doing rideshare in addition to food delivery and $1.50 per mile in rideshare is outstanding so I have gone to $1.50 per mile for food and $1.00 per mile for rides. In my market Uber is still hiding tips.
The Earn By Time feature is just another bad idea for dashers. You will be forced to take no tip orders, over and over and over. Also, you aren't being paid "per hour" but per hour you are on a delivery and of course the amount is dependent on your area's minimum wage. There may be outliers that this would be better but definitely not in my area.

For the past 3 weeks Uber has been showing the full tip here in Los Angeles, definitely a game changer!

Yahoo! Trying to keep warm on this cold rainy day in California. Brrrr
We have by time in our area of Nashville, TN. I haven't tried it yet. Thanks for explaining it. Plan to try it on a week day.

@2:44 “I don’t believe you”
Me: just tuned in to your video, coming from a PDQ employee 😂😅
95 percent. I don't really know how it all works. I am driving safe and that is all that matters to me
Yes, I grunt when I get in and out of the car. Even when I climb up the customer's steps, and place the food down. It sets off their dogs.

Saturday mornings I take lower paying/hour orders as traffic is light and I can complete orders a lot quicker.

"Oh those stupid kids cups." 😂Enjoyed the ride along as always!!
Thank you 😊

Had my on time drop after 2 deliveries yesterday. Take screen shot of stats before my dash. Both orders delivered on time, haggling with DD to correct

Hahaha I have delivered to that welcome go away place!!! That's nuts.

Lou... whatever you be on, I want some 😊. Please.
I love it!
hahaha...
Haha it’s just in high in life!

Smart!
Nuggs area is not great for DD, I don't think your area for pay by time makes sense, but his does at times.
Hi Lou 👋 & Mary👋
Have you ever got an order drop during making 2 orders at the same time and have the food in the car??
Not yet
yes, often especially right at the beginning of the shift.
I tried pay by hour. Lasted 15 minutes as the first order was for 15 miles. Second order was for4 miles. Got paid 4.10 for that order. On pay by order I would have made 4.50. Haha
just because
Wow, thank you so much!!!
In regards to UE you have seen that order $10 or higher typically have hidden tips?
Normally yes but now it seems they are showing the full amount
On time percentage is 94.2. Interestingly enough, that is also my DNA percentage of European ancestry.
I don't do Walmart...with DD and UE. They won't tell u, how many items. My on time is 94.86. Shouldn't be a factor though.
DD on time/early is completely messed up in the app and has been for awhile. My last 100 deliveries were all on time or early and it still knocks me back. I should be at 100% but the app knocked me back from 98.5 and now at 97.63. It is so stupid but of course typical DD.
Same here!
What app was sending you a Walmart order?
On another note I love hearing the native New Yorker accents and really wish I could get great pizza in Indiana. 😆
It was Instacart! The pizza is so good 😊
With regards to dollars to mile I have scaled back. I started doing rideshare in addition to food delivery and $1.50 per mile in rideshare is outstanding so I have gone to $1.50 per mile for food and $1.00 per mile for rides. In my market Uber is still hiding tips.
Earn by time is paid on an hour of active time.
Did yall dash on super bowl if yall did make lots of money's
Next video 😊
@@TheLongIslandDashExperience ok
I have a feeling pay by hour won't be worth it around these parts; curious how the experiment will go!
Thank you Mellie!!!!
I've definitely lowered my standards lately

Good evening. My on time percentage is 99.03.
Hey yall.... 😃
Hey!!
I'm a newbie, but my on time rate is 81%.
Paid by time a stack will make you want to vomit if both no tips. I wouldn't do it. Tried it for an hour. 38 miles 16 dollars. No thanks.
My on time is 97%
My on time or early is 89% for doordash
My OT is 97.71%
My on time rate is 98.44%
Uber is still hiding tips here, although not as often.
❤❤❤

Thank you!!!
✌️😎
Woohoo 💃💃💃💃
On-time? 96.1
