A friend of mine who lives in Phoenix tells me windshield glass insurance is absolutely a must.

It’s an addition to insurance called glass coverage. It’s not required but yes, I’d say it’s a must unless you wanna dish out money for new windshields.

On behalf of the residents of Phoenix, if you are thinking of moving here, please don’t! Everywhere is jammed packed, can’t get a doctors appt, wait several days for prescriptions, going anywhere takes forever due to traffic, people are in a bad mood because they don’t like this influx of strangers, schools crowded, etc, etc! Phoenix can’t handle this! Our grid is not prepared for all the newbies turning on the AC! It’s bad enough that we have zillions of snowbirds here every year that we have to tolerate! I heard an estimation that 300 people a day are coming here! This same thing is happening in other cities and areas where people are flooding in! Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Florida to name a few. Think carefully about where you will live. There are really great, wonderful cities in the US besides the same ten cities everyone seems to be heading for! It’s madness!

In regards to critters and insects. Are the "killer" bees really an issue there? We don't have them where I live but I heard the southwest does.

There's a lot of hype surrounding the Africanized bee because, well, they're not particularly docile. I’m not going to say they’re not in Arizona, but the problems are very infrequent.

Not that I’m aware of living here but Tarantula Hawk wasps in the summers are scary and we see them a lot here in the high desert (N valley)

@@MikeM-qm7hp another place to spot tarantula hawks is atop Camelback Mountain. Scary looking yes but they pose no danger to humans - as long as those humans don't go out of their way to get stung.
