    This is good. Straight to the point, without having to listen to the long winded blurb that other people put on videos.
    Now where did I put that resistance belt?!!
    Thanks for inspiring me to get back to exercises for my hips.

    Osteoporosis is an insidious disease. I’ve had several broken arms and need to work out despite my gym being closed due to Covid. Carol’s videos are so easy to follow and get results. The pace/timing is just right and it’s a great way to do strength training on your own. I like that I can hit the pause button and review my form. The resistance bands are inexpensive and more challenging than I expected for home workout.

    Thank you for these exercises. How often do you do these exercises, every day or every other day?

    • @OsteoporosisExercise
      @OsteoporosisExercise  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The exercises should be performed every other day. It is best to let the muscles rest a day in between strength training sessions. If you are looking for additional exercises you will find my osteoporosis exercise videos on amazon very helpful. Thank you

    Would ankle weights work as well for all these exercises? I find that bands really aggravate my hip pain.

    • @OsteoporosisExercise
      @OsteoporosisExercise  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. Ankle weights work well too. Start light (1 or 2 pounds) to make sure that everything feels ok.

    What brand of bands do you recommend?

    • @OsteoporosisExercise
      @OsteoporosisExercise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am using power systems but I do not have a favorite brand. Purchase a variety of strengths-easy, medium and advanced so that you can determine which level is right for you., depending on your starting fitness level.

  • @Carpediem617
    @Carpediem617 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you. How many sets and reps?

    • @OsteoporosisExercise
      @OsteoporosisExercise  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That depends on your fitness level and the type of resistance band that is being used. A new exerciser would do 1 set of 10 repetitions. If you can do one set and you feel little fatigue go for 2 sets of 10 with a goal being 2 sets of 15.

    • @OsteoporosisExercise
      @OsteoporosisExercise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The exercise will strengthen the muscles and build muscle to some extent but the focus is on keeping the hip area healthy and strong.

    I HAVE OSTEOPENIA IS THIS GOOD FOR REBUILDING HIP BONE? THANKU

    • @OsteoporosisExercise
      @OsteoporosisExercise  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. The site specific hip exercises in this video are good for your bones and should help bone density. It is the tugging of the muscle on the bone which stimulates bone activity.

    She didn't say how many reps

    • @OsteoporosisExercise
      @OsteoporosisExercise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are new to exercise perform one rep. When you can perform one rep and you do not feel muscle fatigue, you should perform another rep.
