  • Name Brand Microfiber VS Amazon Bulk Microfiber Conversation! Which Is Better? In this video, we discuss the difference between the two. It surely makes a difference which microfiber you choose for each detailing chore....but does it matter where it comes from? Microfiber is defined as a fiber that is one denier or less. A denier is a measurement of fineness equal to a unit of fiber that weighs one gram for each 9000 meters….meaning it is really small.
To put it into perspective, microfiber is 1/100 the diameter of a human hair and 1/20 the diameter of a strand of silk. One square inch of microfiber cloth has approximately 200,000 fibers just for cleaning.
Need Microfiber Cloths, but not sure what kind to get? This video may help guide you.

Kirkland or Members Mark for interiors/wheels/grimy jobs. Both are 80/20 and basically the same price. Been using TRC for exterior because I stocked up during Black Friday. I’m just a hobbyist, so they last me a long time.

@@apexdetail85 hi Brian, you always say to leave a comment with our own opinions. I ordered from the link and I hate to say it but these are absolutely the worst microfiber towels I have ever used. It doesn’t absorb anything at all. It just pushes everything around. It reminds me of the old red mechanic shop towels. It’s literally 1/3 the thickness of the Kirkland towels. Maybe even less. I’m hoping that I can still return them. There is always the possibility that I got a bad batch. I should have read the reviews first before some of them are spot on.

Brian, you did a video on the Popo Drying towel a couple years ago? I got that towel because it was on sale. I started looking at there entire line of microfibers. Now I just buy from carzillia on the Popo low nap 320 gsm, and 500 gsm Soft long nap towels at 50 at a time per year. I'm not as busy as you are! They have served me well. And there readable priced. Also I use there looped Drying towels. The small one is still going strong. As always another great video!😉.

Brian: I use to go for the deluxe micro fibers. A waste of money. The biggest problem is when they get too contaminated. A few wipes for a handful of panels and in the wash they go. All free-n-clear with white vinegar in the bleach cycle and lo heat for drying works great. Drying towels? Grand microfiber from Harbor Freight.

What I've found is the big names are definately a higher quality but typically still over priced. What I look for is the blend and gsm most cheap towel are 80/20 vs 70/30 and that is a noticeable difference. Look for smaller companies that provide the higher quality towels at a fair price.our towels range from 2.5 to 4 for 16x16, All premium quality, 70/30 blend south Korean microfibers
