@@princegoldman3298 your comment, and some others, have really helped me understand ! my complete femur fracture is suddenly hurting with each step after doing errands. I am now put at ease, that this is normal and 3 months is not enough time to heal. maybe i have calus tissue not the final bone tissue,. also it tells me I need to keep trying slowly to put weight on it, (but while it hurts bad i will take a break).

6 weeks post distal radius fracture of the wrist. Off the cast and in a brace now. Already regained 60% -70% of my mobility and looking forward to my PT next week! It's amazing what your body can do with plenty of rest, nutrient dense foods and hydrating yourself with lots of fluids. Also, get some movement + sun exposure whenever you can. It helps tremendously with recovery. Keep your heads up guys, and trust the process! Sending lots of love.❤

Does having a bone graft for primary healing make bone healing faster? Considering there is hardware used in primary healing, why would full weight bearing not occur sooner than 6-8 weeks

So if I think I have a broken bone in my hand is the RICE method helpful or does it potentially interfere with the bodies natural healing process?

Hi, My injury is bigtime. I have bone loss at the lateral condyle including the cartilage. I know about allograft. I heard it might not fully regenerate when joined to my bone. Maybe there is a newer better technology/solution for this? Would you know?

i have a question. I know it depends on the bone and severity of fracture, but lets say it's the femur bone and it fractured the way it did across in the video. Lets say the patient is left untreated, only with a splint but no Xrays, surgery and no plate and screws to put the bone together to help it heal.
Will the bone connect and heal and form solid and how many months longer will it take to heal without a plate and screws holding it together? Can it be healed at all without intervention and only a splint cast on 247 monthly?

Lateral ...... I fractured my 5th metatarsal on my left leg . Not Jones, but further up, it was Avulsion. I rolled my ankle skateboarding and i guess that pulled something to break the bone. I am scared to move my foot as I want to heal it as fast as possible because I am an athlete. However my ankle and foot get really stiff if i don't move it. Do you have any tips on how to keep the blood flowing? I'm also worried about the muscles i uses to balance will atrophy. Is there a way to work the muscles in my calve and leg without damaging the fracture? thanks

What about in the case of a spinal fracture. I have an L1 compression fracture. The Drs. didn't suggest kyphoplasty. My fracture is stable. What I do not understand is that the vertebrae does not regenerate. So how does it heal? Will it always be compressed?
