I'm so glad he mentioned ROB's weaknesses. One of the best players in my region mains ROB and I had no idea on how to counter him. So glad I have a Corrin and a Byleth on hand for this one.

I think a lot of people think their character do well versus ROB since he's so big and easy to combo and then they get side-b at 32% off stage, but really that's just a ROB thing he will ROB your stock even if you think you're winning.

This is probably his first time on screen and I love how much knowledge he has on rob. Every time he would clear his throat and be louder he would not mess up his speech. When speaking, always project. Love the video tho!

Which of them do you disagree with zomba about?
@@OdaGoda957 I can list the most egregious ones, which would probably be something like Falcon, Samus, PT, Ken, and Greninja. Afaik most or pretty much all of the top reps of these characters agree that their match up with ROB is either even or actually losing, conversely ROB mains other than Zomba also generally have these match ups as even or ROB favoured.
Even besides specifying individual match ups, considering a character like ROB who has had some of the best and most consistent results across all of Ultimate's lifespan and is considered a certified top tier and about top 6 on average by top players, it is simply impossible for him to lose 26 match ups. Zomba is notorious for underrating his character after all.

AND a -3, let's not forget that one (-3 literally means unplayable and you should lose 80% of the times againt a player of the same caliber, just to point out how definitely not absurd that matchup chart is)
Sometimes I forget Zomba is just a kid. His voice hasn't even matured and he's already one of the best players in the game. Top 20 maybe?

@@Pawnnnnn So I have this theory that at least part of why Zomba is so good is that he's convinced himself that a third of the cast is a bad matchup for ROB, so anytime he's winning, he can tell himself it's because he's massively outplaying his opponent. Which is very good for his mentality. He does truly know a lot about ROB, obviously, but he's also massively biased.
@@PawnnnnnIt doesn't take a top player to realise that Zomba might have an ego problem and can't accept the fact that he like every smash player ever will have a character he himself struggles against and not his character but because he can't put his ego aside, he will try to blame it on it being a "bad"matchup even though most PTs and Robs including some of the best Robs in the world like Anathema say that Rob beats PT. Just because Zomba is the best Rob doesn't automatically make his words gospel, sure you can take my word with a grain of salt as I'm barely above a 1-2er but when it comes to stuff like matchups, you really should listen to what is generally considered among high and top players and not what 1 person thinks.

I know it’s a bit of a meme now, but rob is big yall. Easy to combo and hard to land with. Especially because Nair is pretty easy to parry. He still has his cheese and crazy combos, but he still loses a lot of character match ups. Players on the sticks always changes things, but zomba has been working hard to get where he’s at in the scene.
Rob-Peach is not +1 for ROB
