I also remember when Rickson Gracie fought Funaki. Rickson had it on his contract that Funaki wasn't allowed go for leg locks and foot locks. The only semi legit guy he fought. Rickson wanted modifications 🙄
I like how Scott stated that a young Ken would have mauled Tito because it’s so true many MMA people swear Ken would have lost regardless but when he was hungry young and juiced up he was a unit. I’ve heard tito was scared to fight Ken at Heavyweight don’t know if it’s true though.
IMO, the Ken S fights hurt Tito’s legacy more than it helps. Ken and Tito was a beef between the two that extended itself to 3 fights. It should have been 1 and done Tito fighting Ken so many times in a row denied the #1 contender a shot

Agreed. When Ken fought Tito he was a shell of himself. A prime Ken destroys Tito. If Frank beat him Ken mauls him. Prime Ken was a force of nature, probably the first complete MMA fighter - also the rare type of fighter that had the gas tank to back up his explosiveness.

Lots of people tend to forget that against Fujita Ken was piecing him up nasty Ken with a little extra boxing in his prime would have been a force. In their first fight Ken out grappled Dan Severn he was a force and people really forget that

These new fans of the game don't realize that the Ken that even fought Tito was no where close to his Prime Self. Even Frank beat Tito and everyone from the Lions Den will tell you that Ken was the better fighter. By the time Ken even fought Tito he was near 40 - people are saying Adesanya, a guy that is probably bigger than Ken, is now past his prime and he is in his early 30's and doesn't do WWE like Ken did. I put Ken in that Spider Silva type category where he could have cashed his chips in and retired at his peak, but since he is a warrior he kept fighting far past his prime and that skewed people's memories on how good he was during his prime. BJ Penn and Fedor are another one of these types and recently we saw the same with Nick Diaz returning as a shell of himself. The fight world is a fickle place and you are only as good as your last fight. Prime Ken was a freak of nature - D1 caliber wrestling, some of the best subs in the world, unreal gas tank, good striking, and an NFL caliber athlete.

I need to clarify what I said so as not to be misconstrued. I don't think Frank was a bitch in prison. The feather on the toe might have been cuz he had Cherokee in him. And Frank was an other in Prison so he wasn't cliqued up. So maybe he could talk to other crews like Aryans, Mexican mafia, serranos, Northerns and so on. So in talking about Frank at the Den in no way did I mean he was a fairy or he wasn't tough as nails. I was just recounting what happened, that's it.
