There is an ally NPC that normally doesn't die in the scripted sequence at the prelude of the game. However you distract the ally NPC so that he doesn't shoot and loses the fight to the alien slave NPC. When this happens you simply take his weapon right before the end of that scripted sequence.
I have to say, even today I love to watch these Half Life (and DLC) speedruns. Gotta give a like for the old days, thanks Quadrazid and all those who helped along the way.

@sspope Theres a scribt that makes your "mouse/view" 180* and because the mg has a knockback while in ther air he shots behind him to give him a boost but for some reason maybe a better script than others use you can'tsee him look back
