Mind blown! I can’t believe how much was packed into this video!! Overlaying a ‘regular’ chart on top of a pivot chart, using index and match with a pivot table and slicers, adding an error message to the chart... WOW, just WOW!!!
Knowing Excel is one thing but the most educational aspect is application. You bring high quality applications with these wonderful Excel tools. I'm polishing my Excel skills for a new job i'm about to start. As an advanced Excel user these applications are exactly the high standard educational vids I appreciate. Really great work Mynda! Hi Mynda.. what a great video with super cool tips and techniques packed into 12 minutes.. learned a lot! Thanks for continuing to post new videos, even during these trying and troubling times. If nothing else, we can all use our days of sequestered isolation to get better at Excel :)) Wishing continued health and safety to you and your family. Thumbs up for MyOnlineTrainingHub!!
Great Video and solution to show comparison and position of one between the rest of its kind! I hope one day you can show us how that macro was developed and how we can handle it to when copy and paste! Thank you very much ☺️
Your instruction is really fantastic! I'm amazed with such a smart approach you use in your video! Gotta subscribe to learn more new useful knowledge about excel by you! Thank you.
Excellent video! I have been so impressed by your Excel knowledge and skills. Thank you for showing this chart technique....I will try to find some ways to use it!
Great Video as always!. Question, Did I miss a video where you explain your macro? Im surprised on the fact that anyone has any question about it. Again thanks for your valuable contribution.
Thanks, Gilberto. I didn't explain the macro, but you can see it in detail by downloading the Excel file available from the link in the video description. From there there is also a tutorial on how the macro works.
This is so nice. A Question, Please? In your download file, whether I select one Sport or all of the Sports, your warning is not going away. Mynda, I listened to your warning so I chose one only but you are still giving me warnings :)Thanks
Thanks! It looks like the Slicer lost connection to PivotTable4. Right-click the Slicer > Report Connections > check the box for PivotTable4. Thanks for letting me know. I'll fix the download file.
@@MyOnlineTrainingHub Thanks! Yes, it had lost the connection to PivotTable4. It is working fine now. Now, you are giving me a warning only when I choose more than one sport. :) Thanks
A very cool idea. Recently I tried to disable the ability to select more than one item on a slicer. What do You think to insert another pivot table or table directly below Your pivot table. This effectively blocks selecting more items. Regards
Great Video! Question: is there a possible way to "grab" a value in the graph in order to change the reference value. Example: I want to change the value of endurance for auto racing and therefore "grab" the plot to adjust the value so I don't have to access the raw data. Hope I make myself understood :)
Hi Ludvig, I'm not following what you want to do, sorry. What you see in the chart comes from the cells, so you're best to modify/grab from the cells/inputs, than try to get it from the chart. If you still have questions, please post them in our Excel forum where you can upload a sample Excel file that explains with examples what you'd like to do: www.myonlinetraininghub.com/excel-forum

Agree, this is a master class.
A good way to show than very clattery line graphs. Idea of giving a warning was very impressive. Thanks for the tutorial Mynda.
Glad it was helpful, Unmesh!

Thank you! I guess you could do that, but you get an error message which will likely confuse users rather than explaining what they should do instead.
@@MyOnlineTrainingHub yes. I think about it. I solved it with one sentence in the manual.
Thanks, easy to understand
Glad to hear that!
