I got a job at the Bank of England in 1998. On the lunch break of my first day I walked down to the Virgin record store on the corner of Bank junction and bought this album. I went back into the BoE to my desk in an office 3 stories underground and listened to this. Lovely music next to rooms full of gold bullion. My careers teacher hadn't prepared me for that.
He has an excellent voice. A lot of talent in that family. That being said. Thom Yorke’s voice is on a different level. I always said Freddie Mercury had the greatest voice in rock history, but Thom is #2 in my book. Both have the best and most powerful ranges/voices.
it's pretty creepy for me to watch this after hearing about him for the first time. it's almost like watching thom in an alternate reality, of what could've been if things had been different.
this is one of my favourite UT songs, thanks for uploading. I think thom has a more dynamic voice, but Andy's has a nicer tone. They should work together.. I wonder if they used to jam when they were growing up.
Just watched the video and saw my own comment from 16 years ago.. wow, time flies.. I'm seeing this band tomorrow in London for their reunion. Looking forward to it.
I am a big RH fan, and I am a big UT fan (of their 1st album in particular... the rest is far less interesting). But, please, stop comparing Thom and Andy. Andy is so much more well-composed, and Thom is so much more like a (subterranean homesick) alien! Thom sings songs like "Paranoid Android" or "Idiotheque", so vocally it is clear that they do not try to do the same kind of things... By the way, I really miss UT.
I know eh! I couldn't imagine that, would drive me nuts. I don't think they're really even comparable, completely different musical styles. Can't deny their voices are similar though. He's a bit deeper/smoother I think.
I LOVE THIS BAND. I am also a radiohead fan- a massive one- but this -no longer existing band- have provided the soundtrack to my college years. I AM DESPARATE TO GET THE SONGS THAT MY DAMAGED CD's CANT PLAY...... Help please
UT had a great first album "almost here" which stood on its own merits, unfortunately in my humble opinion the second was a bit boring barring a couple of songs.....
Is that a good thing? Imo, Thom Yorke is better looking and he looks more interesting. Looking ordinary and like an accountant versus a freak of nature is not a good thing, at least to me
I got both thier first 2 albums. Great they were.
What nice brothers. I hope they sing together around the piano on special occasion, such as christmas. God bless andy and thom yorke!!!
They did a duet on a tribute album. Look up "all for the best"
Man, used to love these guys!
I saw The Unbelievable Truth open up for Tori Amos in Chicago around 1997, so good! Thanks for sharing!

I brought there CDs and see them live.
Loved them.
Remember seeing this live 15 years ago. So proud I was.

This song reminds me of the OK Computer B-side called Lift.
I wish Thom Yorke had sang the song along with him!!!!
Such a fun song to sing along with. That electric guitar at 2:46 gives me chills everytime.
Nice! Feels like Andy Yorks “The unbelievable truth”
Thom..Thom...Thom...THIS IS ANDY!
Love you Thom;)
the drummer , now drums for frank turner and teaches on my college music course part time hes also the nicest bloke youud ever meet :)
you can hear the bends (the album) in this song.
you can see thom singing that though... the behavior on stage the way he move his head reminds me alot of thom...
yorke bothers rock!!!
what a great song
To me he sounds more like Michael Stipe, the singer of REM, who was also interestingly enough, a big influence on Thom Yorke.
great band

Brilliant!
looking so young!
bojoux, you can get most of their music off itunes, not available on Spotify yet though
This is really good
this sounds like bullet proof
im not saying im just saying
great video & great song!!
has anyone tabs for guitar?
I hear Counting Crows and maybe some Alice In Chains; very nice
eww
They supported the former. The latter?
that is to say, jools' high pitched welsh accent.. harr
They both sing with such a unique approach to harmony.. Reminds me very much of Bends-era Radiohead, very cool..
Haunting

i think there are similarities to thom, in fact, andy reminds me a lot of thom
okay i gotta admit - i'm only looking at this to compare andy and thom looks. thom's hotter, but they both kinda have the same eyes & nose.
Wow whole family with talent????
Thom's son too. I guess the Yorke's are just a lineage of talented folk.

you could download from a youtube to mp3 site?
very R.E.M feel
Andy who? I'm here for Nigel Powel. Sleeping Souls drummer extraordinaire!
Superb song! Does anyone know why Jools Holland wanted to talk to their representative from the label?
He kind of sounds like Thom just a tiny bit
good question asloem. i think Jools just liked the label name Shifty Disco
ładnie...kocham te piosenke...
В комментах про Энди писать про то, что ты любишь Томку... Как минимум странно;)
Ahaha.. Andy Yorke is Thom plus a few more pounds and (sometimes) glasses.. he is the computer programmer version of Thom.
(I like them both)
ენდი🥰🥰
a lot of REM I hear.
i dnt c y people keep sayin his voice aint as good as his bros if i ad a voice like dat i wudnt b complainin neway
Paddy McCarney Judging by your spelling and grammar, it's a safe bet to say your voice is barely intelligible at best.
@@bLackmarketRadio maybe by now after 12 years he has finally learned how to talk

woh
as far as I can tell, it's because the label was called "shifty disco". lawl.
UT had a great first album "almost here" which stood on its own merits, unfortunately in my humble opinion the second was a bit boring barring a couple of songs.....
lol, true about the pounds (i can't even type this i'm laughing too much) shit, since i can't have thom, i'll take is brother.
nah, this one can sing. the other one's just a grumpy gnome with a dodgy eye. great to see this again, everyone looks so y o u n g...
Personally, I prefer a hundred times Andy's band rather than Tom's...do no't but I developed kind of aversion for Radiohead
Is that a good thing? Imo, Thom Yorke is better looking and he looks more interesting. Looking ordinary and like an accountant versus a freak of nature is not a good thing, at least to me
Why are these rich public school boys so bloody miserable?
Not as miserable as you
OMG his high pitched accent is BAD on this one!
