I agree so much! Your hilarious description aside, where is it from? I'm headed to Italy soon and have wanted something like this - loose but cool/chic. ;)
Alyssa, love this video and your outfits!! I am also dying to know the brand of your black trousers. I have a similar pair that is not holding up well, and would love to find a more sustainable option that can be a part of my closet for years!!! Thank you!
My favourite video you did was when you styled that one dress in about 50 different ways. Would you be able to create an autumn/winter multiple outfit inspiration video? Love your channel and how you encourage people to focus on how to style outfits over just shopping for more clothes.
Great tips. I’m preparing for a 2 week Spain trip with only a backpack and can’t wait to use for videos for packing inspo. My favorite travel light hack is bringing a bold printed silk scarf. Wear as a top, use for additional warmth, as a beach coverup or blanket, or a pop of color on your bag, as you’ve shown here. Options are endless and they take up so little space!
I really love to see your process when you put looks together for the day. I learn so much! And just to say again, thebRome shorts from Sezane maybe my all time favorite style of shorts, something not easy to find, but a WOW piece that I love everytime I wear it. Its shape seem to make me legs appear thinner, its so stylish on just about everyone. Great video, as usual!!
This was a fun video to watch. I don’t understand the difference between “tension”, “interest”, “contrast” and not working! Sometimes you would put things together and say these words and other times you would say it doesn’t work. I would love a video on the little nuances that you are vibing with that make you think something works (in regards to tension, contrast or interest) or not. Well done!!
Tension and contrast are similar and overlap, but contrast can refer to actual, visual contrast, and slightly leans that way, whereas tension is a little more the end result of putting together pieces that have different vibes, i.e. different styles or levels of formality. Both are ways of creating interest, which can be anything that makes an outfit seem less flat and one dimensional. Whether something 'works' or not though is largely in the eye of the beholder and a matter of personal preference/taste (which is often easier to see through consistency than anything else, since so much of it will be subconscious.)
Such great variety! I'm off on several trips this fall and will follow your lead with carry-on only. In reality, few people are noticing every detail of what you wear. They're enjoying your company and your smile. No need for an entirely new outfit each day. I recall your friend loaned you the navy dress for the trip. Would you please tell us the brand of the dress and also where she got it, if that's known? At least the brand would help those of us interested keep an eye out for that or something similar. It really is the perfect travel dress. Mille grazie!
Great video as always Alyssa. You've given me lots of inspiration for a trip I'm planning next year from the west coast of Canada to see family in Scotland and then on to the south of France. I'm already starting to think about what to take and this has given me lots of food for thought, so thank you! And can I just say, I adore that yellow printed dress. The empire waist gives it such an elegant hang.
Hi Alyssa, I love your videos! As I have started my minimalist journey a few years ago...I love your videos, they are so soothing, thanks. Sophie, from France
Love the creative inspiration. The one piece I’m having trouble with is the navy handbag but maybe it’s black? Just wonder if straw or cream could have brought more versatility. Love the pops of pink in the capsule.
Love this great to see really practical outfits for warm climates. Will defiantly be using this for inspiration when I go to a warmer climate next year. (Gutted I'm going to miss the next Shop My Closet but my besties birthday calibration can't be missed!😆
Another amazing video…sure looked like MORE clothes. I have the Emme Parsons SANDALS in bone and love them. Now I am on the hunt for the string ones ON SALE, if possible. Absolutely LOVE the navy and black combo! Both dresses are SO versatile…getting great ideas on what to keep in my closet a what to add to my LIST see you at the LIVE
Love that you tell us your thought process for your outfits. That is very helpful. Also love seeing you in colour. I also prefer neutrals but in summer will bring in more colour which I love.
I love your videos! Thank you for compiling such thoughtful tips and lessons. Please let us know the brand and model/cut of those black trousers!!! Love them so much!
You may have shared this before (and apologies if you have) but I’d love to know where you bought that fabulous backpack? This was an excellent and thorough breakdown of creating outfits, thank you. Easier to carry on when you’re dressing for warm weather. Would you consider doing one for travelling to a colder clime?
Love it and your thinking out aloud for us to hear how you made outfit decisions…Even though we are not even near similar body types ( I am a size 22 ) - I see many ways to amp my wardrobe separates into cool outfits…LOVE those trousers..and am gonna look for a good pair that will not be a fortune..but in a fabric that is not polyester ( harder for us curvy girls..)…Thanks for the design ideas…
So great, I love it when we create interest thru tension and texture... so the heavier sandals... what brand are they? ❤ thank you for so many silhouettes, I’m inspired to spend time today styling a few items for the changing season...
Love the pieces you out together in your trip. As well, you add creativity, where that's a smart move with the pieces you brought to the trip. You are awesome Alyssa 👍🤘 We went this summer to San Felipe @ the Baja, and also wade some tricks to ware awesome changes in our 8 days of trip. And just between us, I hate summer, us my torture with my medical problems. Thank God fall is just in the corner. And my creativity mind will wake up. Besides I hate wearing small Topps and bottoms😓 Blessings from Baja California México, and kisses girl ❤
Thank you❤️. Loved it all. You are inspiring. Please let us know about the two dresses. Would love to keep an eye out for something similar. Thanks again.
It really great that you make it look so easy to pack light and still be able to dress for all basic occasions and look chic. I do have the shapeless long black dress that I got from H&M years ago but looking here it about the vibe of how you wear it because otherwise it could look frumpy. When you travel it almost like a retreat or something because you stay so long. Thanks for sharing and ta ta for now.
I love how the maxi dresses look on you, and I wonder wether a maxi skirt with splits instead of the black pants would have been just as chic - but cooler - in the summer heat in Italy. I generally liked how you put looks together, and the brighter addition of red and pink, even the taupe shorts, really suit you.
They all looked great except for that giant blue dress and the orange red shirt. Great job. Very impressed. Dunno how you can walk for hours in the sandals, though!
Thank you for showing us that we can pack light and still have an endless array of outfits 😊 I'm curious why you choose not to bring your beautiful black maxi dress?
Can u give us a link for the black dress and also the yellow one. I am traveling to Israel in May and would love to incorporate these 2 pieces into my wardrobe capsule. Love the video!
Love your Style❤. Wanting to purchase this backpack. They no longer carry the exact same one 😢. Wondering if you think the JMB “Villa Sak black pebbled” would be the equivalent. Ps. Bought two of your brave belts and are finding them to be terrific quality. Keep up your videos 😊
Love your channel and taking heaps of notes. Heading for a cruise in Greece for a week, followed by a week in Athens in August next year. Never been to Europe and very excited but have a few questions- do you use packing cubes or compression packs? What do you include on your personal bag on the plane. And best none crinkle clothes do you choose? Thank you ❤
Love the video and style inspiration - so many combos! I’ve found traveling with neutral flats offers versatility as well. Hope there might be a travel video coming?😉 Enjoy!
I am seeing this just after I got to Israel for 3 months 😂. I think I underpacked. There are clothes I originally packed that I removed just before leaving. I need to practice 😂
Thank you🌻 going from Denmark to Australia later this year. Inspiration to suitcase. I think your skirt is lovely.. but think you would use it more, if it was blue or black. You don’t sound happy about the colour 🙃 and shorts look perfect on you 🎉
Love this! It is coming back to spring/ summer in australia and i hate all my summer dresses from last yr (and im a dress person!) 😢 ive had the urge to just go out and buy new but I also want to do it slowly to so i find the right pieces This video has given me some inspo to mix and match the few seperates i have in the meantime 😊
Super Alyssa as always! Merino wool is seasonless, unlike cashmere. It is a fabric that can be worn in summer too. Frankly, yr too old to wear mini skirts, those are for teenagers, despite having great legs, like you do, a knee length is better. Wish yd shown all the 16 pieces you packed. The only outfit I liked from this video was at 17.30
I am packing for a 5-week trip that involves 2200-mile cross country driving, 10-day cruise to Nova Scotia, 2 flights, and 2 weeks in 2 big cities. Because it straddles end of summer and early autumn from US south to Province of Quebec, it is hard to pack.
you video of the pink mini skirt outfit was at the start of your trip..my Question.....when you actually wore it, did you find it limiting in activities you could participate in ? It seems it's not practical if you want to do any kind of exploring on a whim, Like taking a boat ride ,exploring a cemetery, some churches wouldn't allow you. In retrospect....would you still recommend a mini skirt to visit a foreign city you want to explore?
😂😂😂 I’ve never heard a dress described as biblical! Love that blue dress it’s so versatile and breezy
I agree so much! Your hilarious description aside, where is it from? I'm headed to Italy soon and have wanted something like this - loose but cool/chic. ;)
Brand of black pants, please
Alyssa, love this video and your outfits!! I am also dying to know the brand of your black trousers. I have a similar pair that is not holding up well, and would love to find a more sustainable option that can be a part of my closet for years!!! Thank you!
You are quite brilliant actually. I love your “ slow fashion” and “ shop your closet “ instruction to a consumer society.
Just an observation, you seem to keep forgetting that your dark hair gives you an automatic tie-in to any dark accessories. 🥰
My favourite video you did was when you styled that one dress in about 50 different ways. Would you be able to create an autumn/winter multiple outfit inspiration video? Love your channel and how you encourage people to focus on how to style outfits over just shopping for more clothes.

You always look effortlessly chic! Thanks for sharing
You are never boring. Love your style
Where did you get the navy dress? Love the red on you! Hope you enjoy your holiday.

You made so many good looks I forgot I was looking at a capsule!
Watching this on my first proper day in Italy. Love it 🥰
omg i'm honoured! Hope you're enjoying your trip!
What brand are the travel pants?
Loved the video! You, along with your fellow podcasters, definitely inspired me to pack differently for my recent travels 😊
Alyssa. I must say light pink looks delightful on you. Loved this video., Thank you ❤
I also would love to know about the black pants please. Love your styles
Such a great variety of looks ... !!!
Love hearing your thought process. Sooo helpful while watching you 'swap and change' the pieces.
So italian chic, bravissimo, molto bello tutto.
Love the yellow floral dress....and slow fashion of course.
Have fun in Italy Alyssa
Thank you very much for this video, Alyssa! So much creativity and so inspirational : )
Kiki!! My pleasure thank you for watching xox
Great video! Your channel has changed the way I think about clothing! Grazie Mille!

Hi, Alyssa! I was excited to see this, as it's perfect timing for me. Enjoying your content on IG right now too. Much thanks! - ilona
Hi great video as ever! Linen stretches- and might shrink back when washed! 😊
That yellow dress on you is so so stunning. It looks like it was made for your body. Perfecto!
I love how versatile your trousers are! Where did you get them?
Yeah. They look amazing
Why does she never answer about the trousers ? I want them too !
The black pants look great but wouldn’t they drag all over the floor when you use the loo on the plane?
Love the black wide leg pants, where are they from?
Yes, the red blouse and pink skirt is really cute.
Hi Alyssa, I love your videos! As I have started my minimalist journey a few years ago...I love your videos, they are so soothing, thanks. Sophie, from France
Such a well put together video, love all the different combinations - you are so talented and stylish. ❤
Love the creative inspiration. The one piece I’m having trouble with is the navy handbag but maybe it’s black? Just wonder if straw or cream could have brought more versatility. Love the pops of pink in the capsule.
totally. I have straw bags at home but they took up too much space ... i'm saving for a lighter puzzle bag as well. :)
I wasn't expecting the soft pinks in but they were lovely!
Love this great to see really practical outfits for warm climates. Will defiantly be using this for inspiration when I go to a warmer climate next year. (Gutted I'm going to miss the next Shop My Closet but my besties birthday calibration can't be missed!😆
we will miss you but have an AMAZING birthday celebration with your bestie!!
Do you have a list of the individual pieces?
Another amazing video…sure looked like MORE clothes. I have the Emme Parsons SANDALS in bone and love them. Now I am on the hunt for the string ones ON SALE, if possible. Woww❤ amazing video. Love all and thanks for yr inspiration❤
Love your video. What travel bag is that you are showing that you covert to backpack to hand bag
Such cute looks,. Alyssa! I esp like the caftan!
Can you share a link to similar trousers?
Love your easy style! Thank you!
I love your videos! Thank you for compiling such thoughtful tips and lessons. Please let us know the brand and model/cut of those black trousers!!! Love them so much!

Great content and LOTS of holiday outfit ideas! Thanks Alyssa 👍😊
Some of your choices would work for me, some not. But still looking forward to how to pack and what to pack for toiletries!

So many options! I suddenly find myself owning a pair of shorts which I haven’t done for years! 😊
Thank you❤️. Loved it all. You are inspiring. Please let us know about the two dresses. Would love to keep an eye out for something similar. Thanks again.

oooh yes well made point about a maxi skirt with slits - better breathability
They all looked great except for that giant blue dress and the orange red shirt. Great job. Very impressed. Dunno how you can walk for hours in the sandals, though!
Thank you for showing us that we can pack light and still have an endless array of outfits 😊 I'm curious why you choose not to bring your beautiful black maxi dress?
It took up too much space :(
@@AlyssaBeltempo 🥲 That makes sense
LOL. I was in Northern Italy in early September and I can confidently say it didn't get cool unless it was 8pm.
Can u give us a link for the black dress and also the yellow one. I am traveling to Israel in May and would love to incorporate these 2 pieces into my wardrobe capsule. Love the video!
Thank you for taking the time to put this together! 🤍🤍🤍
That was so helpful since we are going to sardinia soon for two weeks🎉 thank you so much😊
Thanks for your tips Alyssa. You are so lovely.
Where can I find your shirts with the integrated belt. So fun and great piece. Sue in NOLA.
So inspiring!! Thank you!!
Can you please share the brand of both sandals - love them!!
Where is the yellow patterned maxi from - i love it looks light weight and perfect for summer
Do you carry a steamer with you to press clothes? You mentioned linen, which wrinkles.
Soooooo lovely😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

Where did you get those tan pleated shorts? They are SO cute and go with SO many things!
I would love to know what brand your backpack is?
❤❤always good Alyssa!💖💖👍
I am seeing this just after I got to Israel for 3 months 😂. I think I underpacked. There are clothes I originally packed that I removed just before leaving. I need to practice 😂
Inspirational. I love it. Where is the dress from? Is it linen?

Love the outfit but isn’t it difficult to walk in public restrooms when the pants are so long. I’ve done it and it’s bothersome
Super Alyssa as always! Merino wool is seasonless, unlike cashmere. It is a fabric that can be worn in summer too. I need those black pants! Do you have an option you can recommend?
Loved it as always!! Can't believe the pink skirt became too loose, But who loses weight while traveling in Italy! Now you're just showing off! 😂
Wenn man nach Italien fliegt würd ich garnicht viel einpacken. Da gibts so tolle Sachen.
Did you mention the Lungo Mare? I have been to Opatija this summer too!
Question…bras, bralettes, padded, with or without underwire?
Curious-say, same or similar warm temps but technically in the heart of Fall. Would you make any changes to what you packed?
Did you say that dress looked a bit biblical??!!😂🤣🤣😭😂
Not you being one of the the 12 apostles!! 😆😅
I can't.
Great video.
Fabulous 👏
Does the culture support and encourage second hand stores? That would be interesting to see what what you would find there.
Where did you get the purse/back pack
I am packing for a 5-week trip that involves 2200-mile cross country driving, 10-day cruise to Nova Scotia, 2 flights, and 2 weeks in 2 big cities. Because it straddles end of summer and early autumn from US south to Province of Quebec, it is hard to pack.

Cara Alyssa, I love all 40 outfits! Grazie mille 😊 I am so GLAD to see you wearing red shirt - it truly shows your natural inner beauty.
Hi. Can you tell me the name of the brand of your sandals please? Thank you
Can you link the black pants? Or some similar?
Your "beachy" is my "beachy"!
Great looks and process so useful.
Have a great trip!
