I am glad it was useful for you!
Not sure if you saw this, but I just published a new Wix + SEO video this morning. Here's the link in case you're ever looking for help with setting up title tags and meta descriptions in Wix.

Is it a must to first upgrade Wix plan if to use GA? If yes is there any alternate tool to use at beginners level?

Hi Abdul, are you on the free plan?
If so, this help article I found says you unfortunately won't be able to access Google Analytics: support.wix.com/en/article/google-analytics-faqs
      Here's the quote:
"To use Google Analytics, you must own a domain (e.g., www.mystunningwebsite.com). This means that Google Analytics is only available to users that upgrade their Wix site to a Premium Plan that includes connecting your own domain."
I don't know if there are any free analytics tools you can use on the free plan. But if you find one, please do let me know. I'd love to learn. Best wishes and good luck!
      Zack

hi, can you explain how to create goals and link in with GA4, I used to do like yours where I would connect mine to UA but recently google gave me warning that: "Universal Analytics properties will stop collecting data starting 1 July 2023. It’s recommended that you create a Google Analytics 4 property instead."
    kindy help me.

Hi there Aliah. Google is rolling out a new version of Google Analytics (called GA4) which will replace UA beginning on 7/1/23. I'm going to share a couple of video links here that might be helpful:
th-cam.com/video/oPngBJsxUmI/w-d-xo.html - a 1 hour tutorial all about GA4, including the last 18 minutes or so with a detailed walkthrough on how to set up a new GA4 property
th-cam.com/video/NA6VT48ZqeU/w-d-xo.html - a shorter video just about GA4 conversion tracking (what used to be called "goals" in GA4). And here's a written version of the same video: www.rootandbranchgroup.com/google-analytics-conversion-tracking-ga4/
Unfortunately, because GA4 is so different from the prior version, I think that longer tutorial might be needed to understand what's going on. Best of luck to you.

Hello. At 4.55 you have Tracking Info, but it does not appear to me. Could you please help?

      Hi Sarah,
I'd suspect you may be using Google Analytics 4. At the 4:55 mark I am reviewing how to access the tracking code for the preceding version of Google Analytics (called Universal Analytics or "UA"). If you skip to the 3:50 mark you should see the measurement ID for GA4. You'll click into "Data Streams" within the Admin section of GA4.
Let me know it that does the trick. Good luck!

How can I check if an existing Wix website with domain has UA or GA4? Step by step, please

Hi Raquel, this blog should help. Pls check the section towards the top titled “Which version of Google Analytics am I running?”

      Best of luck!

So is anyone else having issues with this actually not doing anything? I have a code in there and everything but it won’t pull data. It keeps on saying that “data collection isn’t active for your website” and it won’t actually work. I did all the steps that you did, but I got nothing lol

Hi Alycia, that's really weird and frustrating. Sorry to hear it.
By any chance do you have a free Wix plan? I had come across this article earlier (support.wix.com/en/article/using-google-analytics-on-free-wix-sites) and it seems like Wix doesn't allow that functionality with the free plans.
