Your reactions to these two Sleep Token songs are among my favorite reactions I've ever seen from anyone for any song. Minimal talking during the song, not pausing the song every 20 seconds. Your facial expressions say everything. This is the kind of reaction I love watching. Maybe I'm missing something or my brain just works different, but I just don't understand how a lot of other reactors can truly experience/react to a song when they're constantly interrupting it. The track is absolutely beast mode. I did a pole in the community between Chokehold and The Summoning, and the latter won by a landslide.
It's deffo my favorite between the two as well.
Was not expecting a song, let alone what we got.

Everything about it is so fresh and unique. And that's what I've come to love about Sleep Token.

Somebody released a tracklist of the upcoming album, but was later deleted, but an album is for sure coming but no telling when that will be. But these two singles were projected to drop due to SpineFarm’s post showing the two images of Chokehold and The Summoning. Anyways, these two drops have been absolutely phenomenal

I'm not sure but I think Sundowning also had a very unusual way of releasing singles where they would put a new song out each week. Seems like we're on the verge of a new record and I especially appreciate how different sounding these new songs have been.

The heavy riff/breakdown tone at the end of The Offering actually runs really nice into the beginning of The Summoning. You might be onto something

I had never heard of Sleep Token before i heard this. I found it literally a couple of minutes after it was released, with something like 26 views here on youtube. The counter doesn't update very often, so it probably had thousands of views already. BUT it felt very special.

I listed to Chokehold and was stoked then I saw the next single drop and I waited….I read a comment for some one about the last two minutes so…I was like DAMN. The way it was composed and put together. I was pleasantly surprised. They way they keep us waiting. They way they flex all musical (not just vocals) prowess….damn.

But- I really like the liquid, mercury like guitar solo. It reminds me personally of OG virtuosos like Steve Vai. His "Passion and Warfare" album from 1990 is a grrrrreat instrumental album mo chara that is the peak of shred guitar from that era.

Ive been listening since calcutta came out. Sundowning was a song every 2 weeks. I think it was smart to not start with the summoning. You start with the summoning and people go "oh shame the other songs didnt live up", but this way it all comes in to keep people interesting. Cant wait for the album

I prefer The Summoning but heck, Chokehold was outstanding too. Everything clicked on this track and the production just blew the headphones out the back of my brain. A magnificent band that deserves to break big.
