This song was written by Paul Simon. I suggest you check out the album version on your own. It was a MEGA hit in 1970 or thereabouts. It's from the last album by Simon and Garfunkel before they broke up. Art Garfunkel is singing here and lead on the original. Paul Simon sometimes let Art take the lead on his songs, as Paul Simon wrote the music and lyrics for most S & G songs.

@@GracieReacts S & G broke up around 1970 and had solo careers. Art Garfunkel even got into acting on the major movies (a reason for the breakup actually). But Paul Simon had a very successful solo career.

I know it's been a long time since you made this video. I only recently discovered reaction videos. Just want to say, you are not alone. Paul Simon wrote this song mainly for Art Garfunkel to sing.

I really loved your reaction. Art Garfunkel sang alone here as Paul Simon had just stepped off the stage for a short break, and he returned when Art had completed the performance. Arts solo here isn't altogether different from the original studio recording for their amazing final studio album also titled Bridge Over Troubled Water. For that legendary recording Art sings solo for the first two verses, with Paul coming in for the third verse, beginning with "Sail on silver girl".

The studio version has Paul Simon singing with Art on the third verse. It also has some strings. I prefer the studio version to this version, although this version isn't bad.

The original demo of this song was just art garfuncle on piano, it ended up on a greatest hits album and although not as good as the original album/single version without the harmonies of paul simon still sounded good
