Slum Stories: Ghana - Uncertain times for successful entrepreneurs

  • People living in slums often have a negative image. They are sometimes seen as criminals, for example. But is this negative image correct? According to the residents of the Old Fadama slum in Accra, the capital of Ghana, it's a misconception. The people living in Old Fadama try to earn a living. There are a couple of successful entrepreneurs in the slum, for example a pharmacist, a hairdresser and someone who runs a public bath.
    This video is part of the Amnesty International www.SlumStories.org project. An online videochannel about the life in slums in different parts of the world.
