Breath of Fire IV (PSX) - Final Boss and Good Ending

Time to assimilate with the mortal hating other self.
The final battle is comprised of many different parts. First, you fight the human form with solo Ryu - not much of a "fight", though. All you need to do is not die, it's not a scripted battle, you can definitely get a game over here if you're careless. Once he finishes his little speak, he'll throw the spell Whiteout that deals a considerable amount of damage. Make sure you heal if you took too much damage - the time to heal is when he repeats the same text. Using skills or Dragon transformations here is a waste.
The second part, you'll face Tyrant.. The big bad dragon has around 60k HP, has one Lv 3 elemental spell of each type besides Fire element, can use the devastating Breath attack Dark Wave for a lot of damage, can dispel your buffs with Sanctuary, causes lots of bad statuses with Malefication, and do physical attacks. His elemental spells are tied to a Elemental Change mechanic, but you'll never know which he will change to (I haven't figured out if there's a pattern) - he'll be weak against the opposite element he's casting, so, if you see Typhoon, he'll be weak to Earth, for example. All of his attacks come out at random, except the first turn that he'll use Dark Wave 100% of the time.
The third part is Astral as the final boss. Another 60k HP, has all the Lv 3 COMBO spells that can do dual elemental damage and bad statuses except again the Earth + Fire combinations, has the dick move Soul Rend that reduces the entire front row's HP to 1 including from dragon forms, Power Flux which is a non-elemental Breath attack that does ok damage, along with Sanctuary, Malefication and physical attacks with a high chance of being critical hits. Again, everything is random, but Soul Rend first turn is guaranteed.
For preparations, Lv40 is extremely comfortable for this boss, and I only got there because I was farming some weapons - you can beat it much earlier, at like 34 or less. Everyone equipped with the best armors I could get, Cray with Speed Boots to offset his awful speed, and the Elixer+ item eaten to boost elemental defense (not needed, I just like it). Since I like physical attacks, I gave everyone of the boys +1 hit weapons because overall they hit harder than more powerful single hit ones - the Firangi is fine for Ryu because he had quite a bit of Attack, and I got a Slicer for Scias. The ladies don't contribute much aside from Nina's heals, and Ershin just sits there being awesome.
Strategy for this fight is pretty simple. Ryu changes to Kaiser, and I have War Shout with a bunch of fairies in the village to get a nice +70% Attack boost for the boys, trying to combo with Cray's Shield for a bonus +14%. Then it's all a matter of combo Shadowwalk with Shining Blade and whatever other attack Cray has for massive damage, and manage everyone's AP. If they get to low HP, I use Nina to heal.
For Astral, the big problem is Soul Rend - you can only heal Dragon forms with Ambrosia, and that item is super rare (you get one after Tyrant). Aside from the opening one, I just kind of pray that Astral isn't a dick and keep spamming SR every other turn. You miiiiight want to go with no Dragon forms for this phase just in case, makes things much easier.
By the way, each phase has an item to steal - each a piece of Fou-Lu's equipment. You can keep the items since the game lets you save after the final battle. Good luck!
To get this ending, you need to answer "I don't know" or "You're wrong!" when Fou-Lu asks the questions. You get the second option if you say "I don't know" a lot during the first 3 questions.

Breaht fire series are cruel and unfair with varius chracters of story, all, to firts game to dragon quarter, a some bad guys goaway unpunished or die, then cacht as ambitions, this games show the life is unfair, too a some character, are very good souls die, this games are very very bad as you love this characters.
