Man, there is a way to "evolve" the dragons. "cause Myrmidon is not the first transformation, as long as I can remember, and also there are powerful versions of the Behemoth and Wyvern, been they Mammoth and Wyrm (I don't remeber if is that). Do you know something about it?
@@diegokioshi I heard of it. I think it had something to do with points but I never really got anything like it but, i've seen how some of them looked. Does it depend on what form you use the most?
Its been so many ears since I played this that I though the strongest dragon was named Tyrant lol

Yeah their designs are pretty similar.
i never liked how every dragon form just turns you into a warrior...they didint even bother to differentiate them by color.
Technically there's Fou-Lou's form which is just Ryu's warrior sprites but blue instead of red, but yeah I also would've liked to see some more variety with the dragon warrior forms.
Almost this fact alone is the only justification needed as to my preference for bof3

In BoF 3 you actually look like a dragon when you transform. Idk what they were smoking in 4 when they made the dragon forms look like humanoids with horns and wings lol

Maybe this game deserve a remake as well.
the art style definitely aged like a fine wine, im not all too sure if i agree on that at least graphically. maybe fully voice acted, improved game mechanics, etc.? I'd love it if this game wasn't random encounter, but enemies appear on the map and you can evade them

i always thought BoF 3s dragons looked better
BOF3's dragons definitely age better with the sprite art they had, they still look cool in 4 but it kind of has the same problem as most 3D models in PS1 games.

Maybe late, but you use the points you gained from the mini game. In the skill window for Ryu/Fou-lu, you can see their dragons and you have the option to upgrade.

You might accidentally gave the fossil or dragon heart to an NPC offering you to tell you way to next place.
The NPC offers you 3 options in exchange for information:
1. Giving him a rare jar from a village
2. Giving him some hard fish to be caught - I forgot what they are
3. Giving him what you found from the ruin - the mutant dragon heart/fossil
I know because I gave it to him once, then I lost mutant, that means my Kaiser can never be controlled (to control Kaiser you need all dragon hearts) so I went back to my long previous save xd

@@syahrulshiddiq9733 as far as I remember, you will only need to collect all of the earth dragons to control kaiser. Having mutant missing won't be an issue.
Breath of Fire III is better...
I agree, I like Breath of Fire 4, but 3 had a lot more going for it and its more memorable in my opinion.
@Michael Harrington I mean, it's up to you which one you like better. If you like IV better than III then go for it.
I played both... VI has the graphics and gameplay upgrade, but III has the story and has more difficult challenges. Remember the desert crossing... I failed it so bad the first time I cross with it.
for me, IV is better because the world so big, and the traditional tribe, and the world-building so good, in III for me kinda bland, yeah it have more dragon transformation than IV, but i like the story and world building of IV more
