Wonderful video. Charlie is a treasure. Cats have a mind of their own, and if it's a notebook that makes him happy, then so be it. Love your sense of humor, and we have the same taste in patterns. It was a fun video. Thanks.
I think we both must be the same vintage, i also stumble when I cant remember what I want to say LOL. Love how you break everything into “winter” & “Christmas” stitching, only just realised this myself. Your christmas tree stitching is just gorgeous, Ive never ever seen anything like them here in Australia at all - probably because our christmas is in Summer and even though I am a 40 min drive to the snow fields near my place, we dont get snow here which I suppose you would call it on a flat plain below the mountains. Lovely your co-worker!!! Charlie is a cutie and so very diligent with his work hahaha, it nice to have the company, I work from home 2 days per week and I have our Jack Russell with me at all times. He certainly tells me when its lunch time or arvo tea time 😂😂 enjoy the retreat lovely, I do quilt retreats but have yet to find a cross stitch retreat but will keep my ears open, take care and have a wonderful week 💋
Thanks for your company while I was away at the weekend. I'm sure you enjoyed being in Retford stitching more! Safe journey home today. Our village school (in the 1950s-60s) always took fresh produce/tins/packets which were then taken to one of the hospitals in York to be used. Seemed sensible at the time!
Just found you. I'm working on my 3rd cottage garden design.....so involved...so much stitching...but so worth it! And I'm addicted to stitching gnomes..... Really enjoyed your video....love your work. Have fun at the retreat
Hi Sherrie jist finished watching your floss tube (had to do it in 2 parts 🙈). Great as always, love yoir projects. Enjoy the stitch retreat and Harrogate xx
Loved seeing Charlie, and all of the great stitching! Of course, you ENABLED me to go find that Christmas tree by Historical Sampler Company. I will be stitching that one immediately! Hope your retreat is really fun, looking forward to seeing you soon!
Love the 3 little Christmas gnomes - the kits are actually half price at the moment in Hobbycraft Black Friday sale. Love the Christmas flower! The chart photo doesn’t do it justice ❤
Hi Sherrie another great FT video, cute WIPS and finishes you make me laugh out loud sometimes, and that is good for the soul, have a good retreat Thanks for sharing 🇳🇿❤️🪡
It as great to see all your Christmas and winter project Sherie. I'm a cheapskat when it comes to iced coffee. I use Camp coffee and. Love it. Looking forward to hearing all about your retreat. Stay safe🤗
I am looking forward to watching your flosstube as is one of my favourite! I like what you stitch and I live the Little Match Seller Girl. I love the tale and I remember reading it on a 60s illustrated book in my grandma house in Parma and enjoying so much. I don't kno what is it about grandmas houses, but I think that they always made you feel so protected! So I probably shall start the pattern, because it's lovely. I have checked on The Little Stitcher's website and she has very nice patterns, inspired by tales and books. I also like your Histerical (!) Sampler Company Tree that you did three of four times and the Artecy Folk Tree in red. Your cat sitting on your workbook is adorable! Did you know that Carol The Saltbox Sticher mentioned your flosstube? I am so happy she's one my favs and you're too! Happy Stitching and enjoy your retreat!
Thank you so much and yes I did know about Carol. Talk about picking myself up of the floors 😳😳😳 I’m going to mention it on my normal flosstube next week ☺️
New here. You are a hoot. ‘Love ya girl. Happy I discovered your Floss tube. I too love the outdoors and hiking but can’t do much because of arthritis and age. Have to be content to just do a bit of walking. Love your stitching. I will be going back and watching your prior videos. Happy stitching. A+
I too am struggling with that snowman - so stitch heavy! I was planning to stitch them on one piece of fabric and it’s huge 😱. Great video, enjoy your retreat
Good morning Sherrie! You are my treat with my morning coffee!❤ Oh, the mic sounds grand! Love the tiny tree, it is perfect! Winter is "officially" December 21st but I agree, we celebrate Winter until March 18th; so let's celebrate Christmas 🎄 first!
Hello Sherrie! I enjoyed your wee chat....you make me laugh. Life would be so boring if one could not look out the window for a nose...lol. I agree you should tone down the bright blue piece with coffee/tea dye and with some interesting mottling would be awesome. BTW, you are welcome to our snow 🇨🇦! Enjoy your retreat!!
Hi Sherrie thankyou for a brilliant video really enjoyed seeing your beautiful stitching, looking in my Hans Christian Anderson Fairytale book it is The Little Match Girl. So don't worry about that,Its gonna look lovely and looking forward to seeing it when finished. 😊
Your Christmas trees are grand and yes, that is a Fab idea to make into a tree, pillow, flat fold or framed and matted in a tree cutout!! Would you share how you got your Santa tea dye so dark please? Mine is always light and my coffee dye is darker... I adore monochromatic stitching! This past year I think I completed three! Love it! Love using the Sulky threads too, just one strand, so easy❤
Hi Sherri, absolutely love watching your TH-cam especially since all my family live in Newcastle and miss listening to the Geordie accent. When you talk about your mum I can always hear my Nana saying exactly the same things ( she hasn’t been with us for a while now) and just love that. I am also My Textile Shed so it has been duly noted that I should make some bags with the patchwork on the outside, hopefully I will get some time over Christmas to make some. Thank you so much for showing my project bag make on your floss tube. Keep up the great work ❤❤ ps I have done the Snowman Village too, not framed yet but 8 know what you mean about the white 😂 xx
Sorry got cut off!! Call it a Jo moment! As I was saying I wasn’t offended and thought it was great that you mentioned me. I do know what you mean about the patchwork on the inside but the way the bag is constructed makes it a bit harder to have it on the outside but I will construct it slightly different so it can be on the outside. 😘
As usually, plenty of laughter and funny moments with you, such a pleasure listening to you. In terms of stitching, you inspired me for a Christmas stitch with that artcey tree, I does look adorable once stitched, so much better than the cover photo. Enjoy your retreat! Can't wait to hear your stories about it! Ohm yeah, and how could I forget?! Charlie giving us that grumpy look ... uhhhh, priceless! :)) Hope to see him again next time. :)
I wanted to make a suggestion about your Snow Village Cross Stitch. Rather than redoing anything why don’t you try a complimentary background fabric for the ones you have remaining. I suggest an ice blue (very pale). It would go with the floss colors. This new background fabric would be just enough different to look great with the ones already stitched in grey. This way you save time & effort but have a very nice finish.
I would contact the seller on ETSY and notify them of the damage. It is their responsibility to get to you safely. It should have been shipped with protect. Then there is the review...ETSY does have a back up to seller satisfaction. It may have been the post's fault = here in the states we have insurance protection if it's not mailed the cheap route, which sounds like what happened!
Hey Sheerie 😊 thanks for the bonus video…. It’s my day off today so I was well happy when you popped up! I’m stitching on my Caterpillar Cross Stitch Christmas SAL, drinking tea and watching you… perfect day off 😂 would you mind sharing where you got your new twig tree from? It would be perfect for my teeny house 🏡 xx
Hello from Canada Sherrie! I've been enjoying your videos since the beginning and feel like you're a best buddy as I so relate to so much to what you share and laugh about. Love, love, love. On a non stitchy note, I was wondering about the pendantyou wear. It looks very much like one I got in Peru. Any connection there? From a great fan!
Oh my word!!!! It is from Peru. My daughter bought it for me last year when she was there. Mama Pacha. It’s incredibly special to me. Mother Earth/Doni is my higher power. That’s literally beyond a coincidence that you have one too Michele !!!! 😱 I have the earrings too and my daughter has the ring 😍😍😍
Oh Sherrie - I am weak at the look you and Charlie gave each other! What a little fella sitting on his notebook :) love it!!
Aw I love that little cat, he’s a pleasure to have around 😍
Wonderful video. Charlie is a treasure. Cats have a mind of their own, and if it's a notebook that makes him happy, then so be it. Love your sense of humor, and we have the same taste in patterns. It was a fun video. Thanks.

Did you mention what fabric you are stitching Christmas garden on? Enjoy watching as you share your stitching with us.
My apologies if I haven’t. It’s 32ct cream and sugar by fibre on a whim ☺️

Ooh it was just B&M £12 but it runs on batteries not a plug so I can put it anywhere 😍
Hi Sherrie why don't you take a piece of fabric for your snow village to the Knit & Stitch show and see if you can get a match? Xx
That is a bloody brilliant idea 😍
Put it in your Harrogate bag before you forget lol xx
