I am looking forward to #2 video!! Good job on #1 WIP Parade!! What a clever idea to turn the colors around on Praise Worthy Christmas design. 😊. HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2023!!
Loved all your whips...your' Quaker Christmas 2' colors are so pretty in the green instead of the red. Thanks for a great flosstube and will be looking forward to many more.
Wow! I loved this! I love your ease and your soft speaking. I felt I was stitching with a friend. I also loved how you held your pattern up for a good amount of time so we can see it and note it If we want to. Then you also held up your stitching for a good amount of time. This was great!!! Thank you!! Can't wait to see #2! ❤
Just found ya…now I’ll have to binge to get up to date! I’m a quilter by trade just getting back into cross stitch after a 25yr break due to raising my son…he’s now 30 and with a new baby that I’m babysitting since he and his wife work full time. My first grand baby (girl) and I’m in heaven. Def cutting into my stitching/quilting/crochet time. Love seeing all of your crafty talents. Hey from Arkansas 🙋🏼♀️
Hello Melanie. Welcome to flosstube. Great variety of WIPS. Love your Carolyn Manning flower finish. Its gorgeous! How intriguing that your husband stitches too.
Thanks for sharing your projects and yourself with us! I can't wait for the next video. I love your project bags. They are so much more fun than my file envelopes!
Thanks Pat! I tend to keep the projects I am in the process of getting together in less pretty file envelope bags in my craft room closet. They do a great job of keeping everything together until I am ready to stitch!
Hello Melanie! Welcome to flosstube. It was so nice to watch your first video! Loved watching your video and I agree your Quaker Christmas II is beautiful. Love the green :)
So nice to meet you! Your wips are lovely! I usually don't hear about people going to Persnickety so that was a surprise. I have family in Zionsville and I love going to Persnickety. Welcome to floss tube!
Welcome to flosstube. I moved to South Carolina in May from Missouri where I have lived all my life. I also have a March birthday. I love all your projects I did where the crickets sing from the Blackbird bird series and would like to get the rest and do them. I love let love reign and want to eventually do it it's on my list. You have some great project. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed week and happy stitching. Lucinda
Thanks for sharing! You have beautiful projects! I LOVE your flower project by Carolyn Manning! It’s so beautiful, I’ve had that pattern for years and have never seen it stitched! Now I want to start it sooooo bad! And I want to copy your green!
Loved all of your wips! My favorite was your Winter Quaker because I love your floss selection 🥰🥰🥰 I have ChrisXstitch to thank for making me aware of your channel!
Congratulations on your 1st Flosstube. You did a wonderful segment. I've added you to my subscription list and look forward to seeing what you show next time. I also wanted to add that my husband is a cross stitcher, too.
Congratulations on your first FlossTube episode! You did great job, and I can already tell you are going to be a dangerous "pattern enabler"! I have never been interested in the Quaker Christmas patterns until I saw the one you are doing, and I think I need it. Looking forward to seeing you in the future.
Great first episode! I’m also stitching Oh Joyous Day, and I plan to start Quaker Christmas II in December. You have made some great progress! I’m looking forward to watching your second episode.
Just found and subscribed to your channel and so glad i did ! Love all your pattern choices. Your project bags are beautiful! Im blessed that my sister is a wonderful seamstress and she has made me a bounty of bags for my stitching. Look forward to seeing you again, you are very good at this 😊
Came over after hearing Chris mention you. I'm a new subscriber wishing you luck with your lovely projects and will be looking forward to your next flosstube. :-)
Welcome! Great video. I absolutely love love love all the projects you have chosen! Classic that an in person D&D game falls apart but I love the idea of that dice bag and I will be looking for updates. Definitely get the husband on here we need more male cross stitchers, there are dozens of us!
Thank you! Yes, that does seem to be the way with adventuring parties sometimes! Our virtual campaigns are still going strong, and I might have grown a little too accustomed to letting the in-site dice do the math for me. Michael is planning on making an appearance in the video next month and sharing his stitching.
New subscriber here! :) Just found your video through YT recommendations. And I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to see you and also your husband showing us all your projects (stitching and others) Love that you both share the love for being creative. :) Also.... love, love, love all the winter and Christmas projects.
Hi❤i really love all of your WIPs, especially the blackbird designs loose feathers. I used to live in Missouri! Now we live in Salem, MA. Keep up all the great stitching!!
Hi Melanie! Loved your first video. I'm a new subscriber (ChrisXrossStitch sent me 😊). I look forward to your next videos.Stay safe 💕 ~Viv from Western Australia 🇦🇺
Congratulations on your first Flosstube! I've actually seen that dice pattern on Etsy and thought about getting it because my family are big into D&D as well as other role playing systems. I love all of your snowmen projects; they're adorable!! I just started my Flosstube last week, but I was crazy nervous - you seem so calm!
Thanks Tamara! The dice pattern was hard to pass up when I first saw it and then easily gave in after being hit with late night inspiration to stitch it into a bag. I have only ever tried D&D but my husband was able to try three different RPG systems during GenCon this year and he really enjoyed the experience. I was only calm in this first video because I decided I was only making it for myself and my family, and gave myself permission to never publish the video. It took some of the pressure off and helped me to feel more at ease. Also there were several jittery practice rounds and outtakes! Ultimately I felt happy with the outcome and decided to dive right in. I am sure you will grow more confident and comfortable with each video you make too 💕
Hi!!! 🙌 Chris xstitch sent me here! 💓 loved your flosstube!! You have some beautiful projects!! Let love reign is actually the project that got me back into stitching! Still have not started this project 🤦🏻♀️ soon one day!! I have Oh joyous day kitted up just couldn’t decide fabric… you have chosen a beautiful fabric!! Is the SAL taking place? Currently stitch Christmas Quaker 2 with 2 stitchy friends! LOVE THIS PROJECT! Gosh I wonder if my husband will stitch with me? What lovely bags you have! 😂 Looking forward to seeing you in October! Happy stitching! 💓💜
Great 1st Flosstube! How far north of St. Louis do you live? I live in Wentzville! Just wondering if you are close! Love all your WIPs! Love that your husband stitches too and you can share the experience with him! That is really rare! I’m going to Galleria on Thursday and Friday so I will miss seeing you! See you soon on your next flosstube!
Thanks! We live in Winfield, but I do run errands in Wentzville occasionally so it is possible we have crossed paths. It is fun sharing in this hobby with my husband, and he plans on appearing in the next episode. We had a little change of plans since filming and will be attending a funeral this Saturday, so we will be going to Galleria on Friday afternoon instead. Enjoy your time there and if you see us please say hi!
Thanks! The lower one is Coffee Quaker by Heartstring Samplery, done in assorted pinks and purples. The one on the side is actually a Lego set, Floral Art. I am so excited Galleria week is here, and looking forward to all the inspiration and treasures to be discovered!
Hello, I just stumbled onto your Flosstube channel and had to watch it because it was #1. I am an occasional crossstitcher because I spend a lot of time with my Sue Spargo wool appliqué and quilting. You mentioned Color and Cotton, I have ordered from them a couple of times and love their colors. We are doing a Mississippi River cruise in October and I am planning to go to their store when we dock in St Louis. Is it worth the side trip? They seem to be out of everything on their web sight. I enjoyed your first show, keep it up.
Hello and thanks for watching! Last I heard, the Colour and Cotton team not yet set up a way to link between their in-store inventory and online inventory meaning the website is definitely not a good representation of everything they have available in person. If you love C&C thread and/or fabric I would totally recommend making the extra trip while in dock! I am so delighted each time I step in the store and experience all the beautiful colors in person 🌈💕
Already a new YT Treasure I’ll look forward to keeping up with here on Flosstube! Lovely first episode.

You noted you used Radom threads on your Carolyn Maning. Did you keep track? I just absolutely love your color choices.
Yes, thankfully I did! I sent you an IG message with my list of changes. I hope it helps as you prepare to stitch the piece yourself!
Hello Melanie! I loved your video and your WIPS. ChrisXrossStitch didn't disappoint when he recommended you. :)
Nice...I am 1 1/2 hours north of St. L. Going to Colour and Cotton on about 2 weeks in Ballwin. Have you been there yet?
Yes, I have been there twice. I really enjoyed seeing all their beautiful fabrics and flosses in person 😍
Great projects! I found your flosstube through ChrisXrossStitch. What are the other two pieces on the wall behind you? Have fun at Galleria!
