The front of that body is fantastic. The bed isn’t bad, it’s just a bit out of proportion. I could see myself using it on a build in the future. Great footage Matt.
There’s a lot of wasted space on You Tube with absolutely ridiculous content Crawling is not one of them it’s like watching a short movie but of course with the purpose of showing it’s performance. Thanks for the view.
I really like the element rigs a lot. The front part of the body looks fantastic but the rear could easily be removed and there are lots of scale options for a redesigned rear. At the same time, straight out of the box is nice too.
One of the best RC reviews I've seen. Excellent work. Music is good, has most of the information I would want to know without getting overwhelming. Cinematography is on point as always and the scenery fits the truck perfect. Running footage is so much more interesting that what kind of Styrofoam its packed in and whether or not it comes with a hex wrench. I don't even drive 1/10th anymore and this made me want a Zuul/Gatekeeper =P. I hope this video was fun to make because it was fun to watch. Keep up the excellent work.
Very cool man. It for sure looks good. I'm really thinking of adding a element to the collection. I like what element is doing. Good stuff, and they are just having fun.
I love the Ghostbusters name sakes! I love the movies so much I built a real Ecto-1 😂. I would build a rc version but no one makes a good scale body in 1/10-ish scale.
There is no Toyota, only Zuul. ...I wonder what the 'cab' scales out to...prob a 1/11 or 1/12?... Of course I almost wish it had IFS 2 just to annoy people...But it does look good! Captures the super modded J40 look perfectly.
I would think bigger, since "1/10" axles are enormous. It seems like most early Toyotas are around 1/8, and only full-size American truck bodies end up being close to 1/10th. I hate it, personally, and if elected President, will force all 'scale' crawlers to be true 1/10 scale.
It looks to me like crawling with trailing arms goes exactly how I think crawling with trailing arms would go; like it works but doesn't release the axle and allow for enough roll. I see they're doing this body set by itself. That could look good on something else.
That’s pretty much exactly how it goes. You can remove the rear sway bar to free the rear axle, but then the torque twist is so bad that it’s un-drivable.
They’re pretty vastly different trucks! I’d label this as more of a well-rounded trail/rock crawler. The Ascent is going to be all about performance on the harder rock lines. The scale details, build quality, and electronics are superior in the Zuul, as are potential upgrades, as many things from the Axial SCX10II are a direct bolt-on.
Have you ever had one of those cen 450 truckS? I’m looking to try and make a canopy for the bed an not sure how I’m going to go about it but I’m just going to give it a try an would love to see your take on this too if you’re not crazy busy and can get around to it
I bought the ecto black edition yesterday!!! 😂 I have to say that this one is superb. This platform is just awesome, not a lot of upgrades for fun. Personally I just changed the wheels and tires, I installed "Louise Cr-Rowdy 1.9" with the wheels included. The Element RCs are really good at RTR.
They definitely like bronze bushings from the 1980s for sure lol. Having been in the hobbies since the 80s back then there was a reason for bushings. However today there's just no excuse .lol cool build cool video.
I'm surprised the tyres work, the 1.55/3.9" was terrible (at least on my terrain) 4.19" tyres on a straight axle are not gonna have a great clearance, but will be very stable. Elements seem to have kinda discrepancy in their setup, as many of the rigs are setup for trail drives but have a very much crawling speed
"There is no Dana [44], only Zuul..."
😂
Ive been plesantly suprised how good the gatekeeper platform is once you take off that heavy roll cage.
Great video! For the first time the front wheels are in the right position. Not even Tamiya could figure it out properly!
The front of that body is fantastic. The bed isn’t bad, it’s just a bit out of proportion. I could see myself using it on a build in the future. Great footage Matt.
Thanks for watching!
I wish this truck had an offset front pumpkin.
So all we need is vanquish to come up with the key master lol keep the great videos coming
😂❤
Thanks for watching!
Always cinematic, always beautiful 👍🏼
Thank you 🙌
I have a gatekeeper that now has a chopped up MST JP1 body on it. Performs so well with just a better esc and servo.
great video , thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
this might be the smoothest running footage yet, well done
Much appreciated!
amazing rig nice crawl great video👌🤟👍
subded👍✌
Welcome to the channel!
Zuul before bedtime, better call the ghostbusters 😮😂
🙃👍👍

Agree I got tired of automotive content and focused on learning rc this year feels good!
Thanks for watching!
❤❤❤

Video watched in its entirety. Like button engaged.
Thanks for watching!
Well they definitely liked one 80s movie in particularly with names like gatekeeper/ecto and now zuul it’s obvious which movie there referencing
Yes, the ghostbusters are back.
It's time to bring out the proton packs!!!! 😁
Great video but those leaves aren't scale. Love all you contribute to this hobby
😂
They're definitely not to scale! 😂

Thank you so much! Filming is always a lot of work, but I love doing it!
Nice!! I dig it, well done. Keep up the great work. 👍✌️
Thanks! Will do!
Very cool man.
It for sure looks good.
I'm really thinking of adding a element to the collection.

Agreed!
Great video ! Perfect !!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
👌🏾😎😍cool rig👍🏾👍🏾looks like fun

Very cool!
Mesmerizing watching it articulate on these big rocks. I am wondering how small the cab is compared to 1/10 scale hard body FJ cab?
That hard body cab is not 10th scale. It’s more like, 8th scale or so. The Zulu is more like a true 10th or 11th.
@@scalebuildersguild oh ok thanks for the answer!
How large is the cab compaired to the phoenix?
I don’t have exact dimensions, but the Zulu is definitely smaller in every way, height, width, length.
There is no Toyota, only Zuul.

Another great running video. 4.19's did well. Are you going to do something for the interior?
Not even sure this will have that body for long…
@@scalebuildersguild I look forward to seeing your own take for a body on it.
Nice 😊
Now they need a key master rig to go with the gatekeeper.
The key master should be the Element-version of an Axial SCX Pro or Vanquish VRD Carbon!
It looks to me like crawling with trailing arms goes exactly how I think crawling with trailing arms would go; like it works but doesn't release the axle and allow for enough roll. I see they're doing this body set by itself. That could look good on something else.

Would you recommend this or the Red Cat Ascent as a first 1/10 crawler?
They’re pretty vastly different trucks! I’d label this as more of a well-rounded trail/rock crawler. The Ascent is going to be all about performance on the harder rock lines. The scale details, build quality, and electronics are superior in the Zuul, as are potential upgrades, as many things from the Axial SCX10II are a direct bolt-on.
Thanks for the info. Great video as always!@@scalebuildersguild
@@c0pp3For a second rig I recommend building your own. My other rig is for trails leaf springs & upgrading with metal parts for durability.
"Are you a God?"
😂
Where is Gozar the Gozarian?

I don’t have any plans to get one of these, sorry. I’m sure you can handle it. Good luck!
Will the body fit on a Sendero SE ?
Only the Ripper 2.
It should, might need a new mount for the rear.
I am a Minion of Gozer....
Gee , these guys ghost busters fans? ... They got a key master? Lmao 🤣

@@scalebuildersguild I try to watch all you guys's videos you and Josh..

The video sort of proves they worked just fine! Thanks for watching!
Zuul and the gatekeeper..... Come on i see what they did there #ghostbusters
There is no esc or reciever, only Zuul
😂
If you could pick JUST ONE Element truck, which one....? I have Axial trucks, and really want to add a Phoenix and one Element truck to the fleet...
Ecto or Zuul would probably be my choice.
There is no Dana...
😂
80’s action movie means gotta make it a technical. Sorry I don’t make the rules.
Zoul is a terrible name. It is also f-ugly... IMO. Video was GREAT!! Good backing tune also!!
Thanks for watching!
Nah
The body looks it was designed by 2 different people, the front looks pretty good and the back looks hideous.
Ha!
