    I am self taught and the chess set that I hand carved myself was done almost the same as you have showing in this vid.
    [So that has boosted my confidence.. thank you]
    I used the same basswood blocks as well.
    I hand drew the design lines on mine each time, so for the knights they are a fraction different for each one.

    Learning point for me … next time will follow your example and make templates to keep the pieces as identical as possible.
