I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I used this absolutely beautiful rendition of Gerudo Valley for our first dance at our wedding last summer and it was a hit. All of your work that I have thus far heard is beyond stunning and everyone I have introduced to it has enjoyed it as well. Thank you!!
Honestly, this is the cleanest cover of this song I've ever heard, which is saying a lot with how many covers of this song there are out there. Fantastic job.
Zach e Yeah I’ve seen the street one, I don’t rate it as highly as this. The professionalism is off the charts, the street version was too raw sounding for me.
Man, how many lives has Ocarina of Time impacted? It's a game and story that can really change your outlook on games, adventure and just your imigination on implementing things from the game into our everyday life. Just as you did with this song. I can't wait to see how my son thinks of games, stories and his general outlook on life after he experiences OoT. Great cover btw! Loved it.
Jon Hatton I'm playing oot for the first time right now and I can say that if this game was released with the same n64 graphics and game mechanics in 2017 it would still be one of the greatest games ever made. Fuckin 50 hours into the game and there are absolutely 0 flaws in the game.
I have to simply assume that 282 people spontaneously had seizures upon hearing how excellent this was and accidentally smashed their face into the dislike button without ever knowing it... It is the only explanation I can come up with for this to even have any dislikes. Great job!
If I attempted something of this magnitude I'd be stuck in the studio 'til like take 219. xD lol, Good on ya' for gettin' it done and with such style. =]
I am at a loss. If this guy managed to record himself playing one section of instruments of a single song solo and managed to keep in step with JUST that, then that is amazing. I dunno if folks that don’t play an instrument know how difficult that is to accomplish individually. When I played, I always had my other band members to help me keep tempo even if I messed up, since the law of conditional probability dictated that all 4-5 of us wouldn’t mess that up all at the same time. I know usually the baritone, base, or percussion roles would usually be the baseline to keep us all in step, it was all of us together that kept the song from falling apart. The idea that this one guy played each section on his own without anything to keep him in step impresses the hell out of me
I thought the same thing. The way he closes his eyes in the bottom right corner I would assume he is in full concentration mode and there MUST have been several takes. He must have some kind of metronome in front of him. With every melody line recorded the next one is probably a bit easier. Still - Just an amazing achievement.
Love this cover! Like another user said, it's very clean. While I totally get people doing metal or dubstep or whatever versions of this song, I really wanted to hear something that sounded closer to the source. How do you keep a steady rhythm so well without having something to match it with, like a drumbeat in the background?
Wow by far the best cover of this track! Very true to the original! I dislike the orchestral versions of this track is it's not intended for orchestra! The Spanish guitar feel is perfect! Really good job! And great arrangement!

joseph smith Because people tend to get jealous and leave a dislike. Or that some people way it doesn't sound remotely close to the original. Trust me people hate for no reason
aka DL You should look at the order of his strings! The high E string is at the top, whereas normally it's on the bottom, meaning that he didn't just flip his guitar the other way and string it standard, he strung it inversely.
@@jaxryz_380 Oh, only noticed it right now! Thanks for pointing out. I thought the OP was talking about inversed hands - for right handed players, the norm is to play the strings with your right hand while you do the chords with your left hand. Thanks very much! :)
I agree 100% i just told my buddy that same thing. There are parts of this that are better than the original.
Holy crap! Hi DSC!
DSC Hey man, love your videos
I agree totally with you, hard to dig and find superb covers like this. Keep up the good work, Tom.
This is one of those game songs that give me chills. Not sure why.
I think because it’s amazing🥺😭😄😊👌👍🔥💚🌸
I know why.
It's like a nostalgia deep in my heart it makes me cry
Laughs in nostalgia

Congrats to everyone that made it here! You found the best version.
I think the best version is the Gerudo Valley 22% slowed down version
Smash ultimate would say otherwise
not best there’s a street version

Bro go listen to the flamenco guitar cover and I guarantee your opinion will change.
8 years later and this version is still my favorite. You absolutely rocked this man!

I literally cried when I was 8 and played this game for the first time. This is a masterpiece, best game ever made.
Yep, my son is playing his own file on the 3ds version now. He is blown away by it, and understands now why his dad has so much Zelda memorabilia.

Luke Skywalker water temple
Dusteeno yeah just played that part. Loved the water temple. Hated the final boss coz it was too damn easy.
I've listened to so many different gerudo valley covers, and this one is easily the best
I also like the accapella version of "Gandalf the Young" how I call him.
But it doesn't have a bass line
Sounds pretty good also at 1.25 speed
top comment here.
Hey, you're right!
I did the same ♥
確かに
At x1.1 speed exactly
Man, that's the best cover from Gerudo Valley's theme I've ever seen.
And with the strings reversed...! Difficult Level: Water Temple. haha
ah another person who struggled with the water temple
Legit my favorite TH-cam video atm

You just made me shake when I laughed reading your comment-
Honestly, probably the best rendition that I have heard. It is so true to the original unlike most I have heard. Well done.
Probably my favorite song in all of the Zelda discography.
Gerudo Valley is an amazing song!
Ah, a backwards lefty. Very cool, sounds spot on.
Yea. Playing with the strings in reverse order blew mind.
Hendrix and Cobain, both Leftys, just restrung.
Ryan Mueller Kobain played standard lefty though

I think this was the song that made me fall in love with Spanish music as a Kid
Plot twist: this is Japanese music.
@@marcwest4344 it was made by a japanese. But its basically flamenco isnt it

The Japanese love their Spanish Guitar!

You could have a metronome. Old-school I know but that's What I use and works well to keep a beat
its possible to have a mute metronome down there
Two words:
Inner metronome

Very clean and smooth. Most covers of this song are really 'abrasive' and lack finesse, but this is silky.
