How should the door of a rooftop tent work?

In this video I discuss the disadvantages of a rooftop tent door zipping open from the top (hinging at the bottom). This is the most common design on the market. The claimed benefit of doors hinging at the bottom is that you can open the window slightly without the wind blowing in your face - but it is quite possible to have a window opening from the top even if the door zips open from the bottom.

Ek stem saam, maar ek het al lang argumente met van hulle oor dit gehad en hulle wil net nie kop gee nie. Die standaard antwoord as dat dit is soos die kopers dit wil hê... Ek probeer hulle altyd oortuig dat die feit dat 'n koper dit so aanvaar nie beteken dis soos hy dit wil hê nie.

Ja, ek was nou op 'n 3-maande sabbatical waarvan ons 2 maande gebruik het om deur Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe en Botswana te reis. So daar kom baie videos - daar is net verskriklik baie materiaal om deur te werk.
