This must be my favourite What's In My Bag ever. Sometimes the guests can be a little standoffish, or just don't have much to say, but Tim is both interesting and open. Awesome!
A friend turned me on to Tim Presley ( White Fence ) quite a while ago and I've been listening to him religiously for years on end , it's my go -to mourning/morning music , this was a great episode ! Thanky Spanky !
No fucking way....I love White Fence and when he pulled out Shabazz Palaces, Compton`s Most Wanted and then George Jones consecutively it blew my mind since I fucking love those artists and the songs played
I like that he almost exclusively picked Cds. Very nice to see since it's mostly vinyl with literally everyone else I've seen on this programme so far. Not that there's anthing wrong with that, just nice for someone who also still loves this format. ;)
I am pretty sure amoeba gives the stuff free to any person or band who agrees to do a "What's In My Bag?" video session. Surely they put a limit on it, but yeah...there ya go. Now, I'm not sure they do the same for the rich and super famous (Ben Stiller? Dave Grohl?) but who knows? Maybe they do, in hopes the rich and famous come back and spend their own money!
no, I'm pretty sure they don't even give an 'allowance' to the smaller artists, because a lot of the time, they say 'God, this one was expensive', or 'I'm much poorer now' or 'Now I've got to choose which ones to buy'. And also, the artists would then maybe choose the rarer records, and amoeba wouldn't profit from then. Anyway, point is, the artists buy their own stuff with their own money. I'm positive of it.
Krishtie Mofazzal- You say that, but there are other videos (I'm not gonna remember which ones offhand) where it is made clear that the store is providing the stuff totally gratis. Especially since many of the artists featured have done an in-store of some sort. A performance or reading or meet-and-greet, etc. Of course the solution could be found quite easily...if only Amoeba would chime in and give us the skinny! --Hello Amoeba! What's the story here?
ahahaha good point, look why don't you just pay for my plane ticket and I'll fly over there and ask them :D But I definitely see your point, maybe some get free picks and some don't (or maybe they used to?). I don't know man, I don't know

Tim Presley is so painfully underrated!
Love Tim what a great guy.
No fucking way....I love White Fence and when he pulled out Shabazz Palaces, Compton`s Most Wanted and then George Jones consecutively it blew my mind since I fucking love those artists and the songs played
Possibly the best one I've seen so far, turned me onto some really cool stuff.
Dude has some diverse taste.

It's not diverse in that it's all sick
I love him so much for having comptons most wanted. that is a real great album. the production is great.
So diverse! I love it!
Tim is freaking awesome
Totally thought "when I was in the fall" was just a really good joke but sure enough...
Brett Botting such a great line to drop 😂
I expected entire Syd Barrett's entire discography including weird bootlegs with him singing weird acoustic songs in spain.
I like that he almost exclusively picked Cds. Very nice to see since it's mostly vinyl with literally everyone else I've seen on this programme so far. Not that there's anthing wrong with that, just nice for someone who also still loves this format. ;)
Dude you understand good music... Good year for the roses.
Tim's a great guitarist
Great picks! That Negative Approach "Clubhouse Demo" is the best piece of early 80's hc (in this guy's opinion)
seems like a cool guy
haha my band played with him-- check out SFRP with White Fence and Male Gaze
Dang, this is the first What's In My Bag? where someone picked an album by Unwound.
Tim has the nicest hair
This dude seems really cool. Unwound, Crass and Shabazz Palaces are all choice picks.

In an Interview he actually said, that he gives a shit about gear and just uses what's there haha

does amoeba pay for their shit?
also, this guy has some choice picks.
nah, they have to buy their own stuff.
I am pretty sure amoeba gives the stuff free to any person or band who agrees to do a "What's In My Bag?" video session. Surely they put a limit on it, but yeah...there ya go. Cool Dude and a Righteous One "HALL PASS"
Unwound name song?
"Scarlette" off Leaves Turn Inside You
Well, I'm off to google "Victoria Vein and the Thunderpunks" who, if are anything like their name, must be mighty awesome, indeed.
I can see the influence on the wink after knowing he likes fowley and unwound
Eclectic. Good $hit
tim presley likes unwound therefor i like tim presley even more somehow
Coolest guy out there
I don't think you showed all his picks ameaba
+blaho no...? We do sometimes trim picks if the artist had little to say or were not that enthusiastic about them.
Amoeba ok, yeah cause at the end of the video there's a ton of material laying in the couch, more than what was shown but I feel ya
White Fence, you're better than all those bands put together. How come no Soft Boys, Gun Club, Let's Active, Ultra Vivid Scene, or Pavement?
dropped like 250 bones on records huh?
he looks like the third Gallagher
He looks a bit like Icky from One Summer.
4th
whats all that extra weird plastic shit on the CD cases?
Kim Fowley "Local hero" ? Plenty of women would beg to differ.
he was in the fall? why?
he played lead guitar for a while as a touring member. before white fence. he was super sick
no way was he in the fall
+Rachid Fakhre he was in 2007.
what a guy! not the easiest job in the industry to work under the tyrant
FUCKING SHABAZZ PALACES
Tim is pale.
No shortage of skinny white hipster dudes ‘round here
go watch him in the fall. rules
