This is the first tutorial I chose to do in Affinity, and it was awesome! Turned out so well for my first attempt. I'm currently pursuing a bachelors in graphic design and while I'm only just about to start my design classes, I wanted to get a head start on learning some tricks and this was great.
Having watched all your tutorials on Inkscape, and having just landed on this channel, it's just not the same without you saying "Path --> Stroke to Path" and "break apart" a few times every video 😂
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial! I never ever would have been brave enough to try making isometric art and this really helped me learn! Completed the tutorial and I plan on even doing a little extra and perhaps adding a road + ?!! to be determined :) Thank you!!
Hi Nick, it might be a silly question but my version of Designer(I have the latest update as of today, 1.9.2) doesn't show the line's legth in px like yours at 1:48. Can't find the setting to do that, do you know where it's hiding?
@@Cataclism7 I also tried searching online for a solution, and in the options, but I haven't found it. This must be something REALLY stupid but I can't find the setting
@@agoniavr I think you need the 'Align to nodes of selected curves' option selected on the context toolbar. First icon in the 'Snap:' section of the context toolbar when using the pen tool.
Check out my master class where I explain how every tool and feature works in Affinity Designer: logosbynick.com/affinity-designer/
I have to say your explanations are clear and concise! You take the frustration out of working with this program! Thank you!
