    I really think that there is no other car which brings the "whole package" as well as this Giulia QV does!
    You really have one of the greatest cars available on the market there!

    Smart using the anti-seize, especially in areas that use road salt. I like the loctite one that comes in 'stick' form, like a glue stick. Very convenient.

    Really nice video. Lots of great tips from your experience, good explanations. I think its worth a mention for people just starting out working on their cars that might not have experience that the antiseize chosen for brake calipers must be a high temperature variety. I drive a 1999 V6 Alfa Romeo GTV it has 220bhp and it sounds fantastic.

    A super good moment to remind people, pay attention to the fluid level in your brake master cylinder, if it is near the top, and you pads are worn quite low, when you push the pistons back in you risk over spilling the reservoir, good practice is to first check the level before you push the pistons back, but also to surround the reservoir with an absorbent cloth to catch any spills - just in case. This will be especially true if you are changing the pads on the whole car, pay attention and keep checking those levels as you go. Brake fluid squirting out the top is going to ruin your day !! also good practice is to leave the cap loose on top to prevent a fountain effect as well !.

    I know this is an old post, but it's the closet "tools" list and process I can find, so...
    Do you know if the same tools are required to replace the CCM rotors? I'm replacing my Giulia QV CCM setup with the Girodisc steel replacements and was hoping to have all the required tools before-hand.
    Thanks.

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes everything should be the same are you taking the CCM off for the GiroDisc conversion rotors? Do you not like the CCM?

    • @genyosai
      @genyosai 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@autofanaticcars Cool. Good to know.
      And "Yes", I'm swapping out the CCM for Girodisc because I track the car regularly and I don't have THAT kind of disposable cash to pay $12k for CCM rotors and $2700 for pads. So I'm taking the CCM system off, shelving it, and running the Girodisc for track purposes.
      If it weren't for the cost of CCM replacements, I'd just run them because they work brilliantly on track.

      Leland Holton Why would you swap them ??? Carbon Ceramic rotors are very very light , The only time you would have to replace a Carbon Ceramic is if it had an accident or very heavily tracked you would go through at least 4 to 5 sets of steel rotors before replacing a Carbon Ceramic set if you throw in cost of labor Steels cost more , I have these on my M6 and it has 34k on it and the pad thickness is still like new , plus Carbon Ceramic has no corrosion no rust little to no dust , no brake fade , better steering feel from unsprung weight and when you brake hard they eliminate swerve There amazing !!! I agree with antimatter in many aspects....you are right on all aspects you said....the only disadvantage of some but not all types of carbon ceramics disks (like on some Porsche 997 like gt2/gt2rs/gt3rs) is that those types of discs on track use had a very low miles range.....my friend (with 997 gt2) has finished them in less than 2000 km of track use.....so he swapped them (and i make the same on my 997 gt3) for performance friction brakes (iron brakes) they are so well done that here in Europe they were used also for 24 hours or nurburgring...or other similar races....because of the high durability.....but in the use with the same brake calipers of the carbon ceramic kit the pfc disks are still heavier and with of a little bit less brake power....due (as most iron discs)to a less brake area on the brake disc crown than the crown of carboceramic discs.....so by the use you will do you choose what it is better for you....I don’t know if these problems we have had on Porsche 997 series are common on others cars with carbon ceramics brakes on track use....but surely we have had them!
