    Inspired! i measured under the sink and am shopping TCS for the elfa drawer system.
    UPDATE - picked up the system…frame and one shallow drawer. put it together in 10 minutes. you will need a rubber mallet. i set a small trash can and extra paper towels in the drawer. pull out the drawer for easy access. i lined up a box of baking soda, bottle of white vinegar and bottle of dish soap beside it. i also placed a small stick-up lite on the wall. this system works well and looks so good!

    The command hooks on the inside of the door was a game changer! I love how tidy and thoughtful this is. Thanks Kay. *staring at my undersink cabinet*

      If you love command strip, then you should know that they have hooks for spray bootles too. Those are the ones I use for under sink storage.

    I needed this! I recently moved and I’m still organizing my place. Under my kitchen sink has always been a mess. I just threw out a million plastic grocery bags and was thinking of a way to organize the space. This is it! The hooks on the door are brilliant! Why didn’t I ever think of that before?

    Your video is so timely! I'm trying to find a better way to reorganize under my sink. Your video helped so much! I love the Elfa X-Narrow Cabinet Drawer Solution. I hope it works - it's going to be tight because I have a storage organizer in each cabinet door that I have to account for when the door is shut🤞

    My unit has a huge storage area under the kitchen sink and I just started using it to store empty washed up glass bottles and containers for recycling or DIY projects. I don't use more than a few cleaners for the kitchen (multi surf., dish soap, bug spray) and I have two buckets. I use command strip cabinet door hooks to hang my spray bottles onto for less clutter.
    🍾♻️
    One large bucket with rags and various odd things I use for large cleanups.
    🧽
    One med. bucket is left under the sink in case of leaks.
    🚰
    I also recycled a cat litter bucket and am now using it to store tools in so that they are easy to find and put back.
    🛠️
    The last item I store under my kitchen sink is a fire ext. ABC. It is right in front and easy to grab.

      Yes! The cat litter buckets are handy. I use one for my cleaning supplies, with one of those large rectangular baskets from DT for my cloths, sponges, etc, resting on top. And I've had so much bad luck with leaking, I always use a small cheap litter box or dishpan underneath the pipes just in case.

    • @sheilaspastelrainbowvision
      @sheilaspastelrainbowvision 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@geriroush8004 I use a double sided picknick basket on the counter as both decor and storage for my towels and other clothes.
      I also use a rectangular container from ReallyUseful Storage which open two ways for my sponges.

    Hi Kay where did you get that drawer for under the sink?

  • @babsr8479
    @babsr8479 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Under my kitchen sink the space is smaller than some, so I could only fit a smaller 2 drawer unit on one side. On the other side the pipe goes to the side rather than straight back into the wall. That makes units impossible.

    Hi Kay, thank you so much for this inspiring video. I have a question: do the items in the hooks at the door bang and make noise when you open the door? That is my concern and the reason I haven't hung anything.

    • @jillcomfort6278
      @jillcomfort6278 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have done this for years. Hard things yes, they make a noise. I put dusting cloths, and the cloth I use to wipe the sink so it's quiet. When I had my tiny broom and dustpan it did make slight noise but the convenience was TOOO GOOD. It only made 1 or 2 knocks quietly after closing the cabinet. I didn't notice it much. My kids lost it and I haven't replaced it so I just use the hooks for dust rags.

    • @TheOrganizedSoprano
      @TheOrganizedSoprano  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven’t noticed too much? If the items are pretty solid like the dustpan makes a little noise but most of the things hanging have soft ends (dust brushes, gloves etc). I’ve never noticed. I could see how this could be annoying though.

      You can glue a piece of felt to the cabinet. That will lessen the sound.
