I have a tip for the under-sink cabinet "floor" It can really get gross and nothing I tried stayed in place or was easy to clean, so I got some peel and stick vinyl floor tiles from the hardware store. They make such a nice, cleanable surface! Check with your landlord if you're renting though, because they are not easily removable.
@@Heyu7her3 Yes! I had contact paper, too, and it was a mess. When I pulled it up, it took the top layer of my cabinet bottom up with it. That's when I had to find a better solution. I found the vinyl tiles super easy to cut and work with.
Due to your inspiration I used container store narrow and midsize narrow totes underneath the sink 1 for daily use dusting use dish use plant use and back stock they fit well label and pull them out a lots easier to Jenga around the disposal 🎉
Great tips! I recently put my dishwasher pods in an open plastic bin under the sink so I can just reach in and grab one when I need to. They don’t really need to be in a container with a lid. At least for me it works great. You could just remove the lid and still use the bin you already have them in. Just one idea. Find what works for you! 🧡😊🐦
This is a hot spot in my home. Thank you for focusing on this today. Also, I am loving the habits theme and agree for me, it’s been more important to build and maintain habits like putting things back where they belong, that’s really shifted how calm and clean my home feels, even my home office. Thank you, Kay
My favorite all purpose cleaner is Mrs. Meyers, usually the lavender scent, although I got the peppermint hand soap at the holidays last year so that’s another favorite.
Our struggle with the under kitchen sink is that it's a corner sink (do not recommend) with dreadful accessibility. Not only is it a fairly narrow, one door opening... the pipes are fairly far forward. Thus, the usable space is about 6"-8" deep x about 14" wide. And the door. The cabinet is cavernous, but the rest of it is where everything goes to die.
The only cleaners I keep in my house are a homemade vinegar cleaner (vinegar/water/dish soap), barkeepers friend (sponsor Kay!), and Seventh Gen hydrogen peroxide disinfecting cleaner. But for most purposes, I just use a microfiber cloth (I like e-cloth) and water.
I also love Mrs. Meyer's all purpose cleaner! Basil, Lemon verbena, rose. Gotta say, I also love that OXO pop container for dish pods. Keeps the moisture out! 😊
Great video. I’m in a rental and I hate the kitchen, there are two cabinets that have wasted space because they are in the corner, so I can’t put anything there, if I do put anything there I have to pull everything out and half way crawl inside to get anything.
I like the grove co all purpose cleaners because it's zero plastic. I'm not sure i notice the scent too much. I know it's orangey something. And I have their lemon scented dish soap. I do like that scent a lot.
Thank you for your video 💕 I need to declutter under my kitchen sink. I have cleaning products I no longer use 😂 I’ve been loving Mrs Meyer’s All purpose cleaner in the Honeysuckle scent.
Nice video. 9 Elements All Purpose Cleaner is one of my favorites. It does a good job and the scent doesn’t set off my allergies like so many other cleaners do.
Great video! I put a plastic mat in my undersink cabinet after I noticed the faucet was leaking from underneath. Wish I thought of that before it leaked.. Method Kitchen Degreaser is my all purpose cleaner for the kitchen and Method All purpose for other rooms, it works well on mirrors and windows.
Great video. I’m in the UK & my favourite all purpose cleaner is anything by Flash. It’s great stuff. I use Fairy washing up liquid & it’s thee best. Just curious, why is it that they don’t have draining boards in US kitchen? They’re the norm in a British kitchen. I love the automatic tap & soap dispensers. Brill ideas.
Automatic soap dispensers are quite wasteful because they give more than you need and the automatic faucets really waste too much water. Handy, yes, but I am too thrifty to use them. Sorry to sound so negative. Your area under the sink looks wonderfully organized! 😊
Right now my all purpose cleaner is Method, citrus scent. Once it is used up I am going to get Mrs Meyers Rain scent, because petrichor is my love language. also, question. The (ply)wood in my under sink cabinet is warped. There is probably nothing I can do other than get a better sheet of wood in there, yes?
The under sink is such a struggle to keep organized. It's those dang cleaner bottles, they always fall over and make a mess. since lining them up in a tray caddy (for regular use) and tray (for specialty cleaners), my kitchen under sink has been flawless! My bathroom sink still needs work, I still can't find storage that works for our setup, where the cabinet has no bottom and drops 5 inches to the bathroom floor. Most storage options don't work for this thick lip :/ I did set up one of those kitchen cabinet wire shelves to raise a drawer storage option and I can shove stuff underneath like extra first aid items in a plastic shoe box, best solution so far. For folks who struggle finding good drain racks with steep angled drain boards, I couldn't sing the praises of the Farberware Classic Large 3 pc rack on Amazon (around $40), the angle is perfectly steep for those of us with manual dishwashers 👐 and rack itself is solid.

I tried peel & stick contact paper but I wasn't dexterous enough to keep it from sticking to itself 😮💨 So tiles might have to work...

I'm Mexican, so my favorite all purpose cleaner is of course... Fabuloso!!
Great video as always. But your hair….I’m obsessed!
I love method degreaser, I use it on everything. I also love Dawn dishwasher liquid with vinegar and a little water. It is magic in a bottle!

I like BarKeepers and the Pink Stuff. Has to be able to handle multiple areas. Your under sink is very organized and holds a lot of stuff. TFS

Guurrl! You are posting this at the right time! Thanku! I'm on the struggle bus with organizing under my sink. Yes I must purge and relocate stuff.
Great timing! 👏 We're moving next month and one of my first thoughts was I'm going to be bingeing Ms. Kay for tips and inspiration! 😄
When I am lazy I like Mrs. Meyer's but I love making my own with different scents!
i love boot trays for under the sink. it's got a lip, so if something leaks, it will catch it.
My fav all purpose cleaner is tea tree oil and eucalyptus oil with vinegar and water

Just subscribed to your channel! I also noticed your tray ceiling! It’s exactly like ours! Love it…and your channel too. 💖
Great video! Great ideas! I had to take notes so I can remember what I want to try.
Thanks I definitely need a liner.

loved this! Definitely need to refigure out our under sinks now that we've been here a while
❤ OXO brand . 😮 I did not know stasher bags had a drying thing. Good to know.
I can’t ever make up my mind on cleaners lol. Love makers cloths all thanks to you!

I love that under the sink organizer!
Hello! I enjoy your videos. You are very funny, and your editing is superior! Many thanks for sharing your talents.

I like Method Basil Lime
Used to love Method anything but can't get it in Australia anymore
Where did you get that marble utensil holder?
I was interested in the heavy duty scrub gloves you mention near the end, for the bathtub, but they are not currently available, maybe discontinued?
Great video.

Can you do a video for under the bathroom sink
Motion sensor faucets for home! (I didn't think there was such a thing. Duh.)
I go back and forth between Mrs Myers and a homemade version with essential oils
