Great review.thanks for making my mind up. Took one for a test drive today and found it whining alot in low gears t, when I speeded up felt like gear changes were slow.
Hello, you have mentioned that there isn't any need for a 4 wheel drive on an SUV unless the intend use is for off road, do n't you think is important for an additional safety and control of the vehicle especially for an SUV in snowy winter or a wet highway and turns.
+moh bel I suppose it depends on the region you live in. Theoretically here in Poland we should have snowy winters, but the last few years we haven't seen much snow. I've seen these films online, where streets are covered in ice, and cars can't go up a small hill. But if there's ice, AWD won't help much either. Most of the time cars are stuck in traffic, so AWD is pointless. And if the weather is so bad you feel you need AWD, it's best to slow down or stay home.
Here in Canada, it is almost 4 months of snow on and off but the roads in the cities are usually cleared and abrasives and salt and all that shit is almost all the time on the main roads and highways, unless there is an enormous storm of 100 cm that will take time obviously, but sometimes the weather is not that cold but humid and you will have slippery pavements , would we be safer with an AWD, plus you know, when the residential roads are cleared most of the snow is on the sides where you park and that is a pain in ares when you get stuck. I am looking forward to get an SUV, hesitating between the Rogue ( xtrail) or an Outlander AWD or not, it is a giving me a headache. thanks you for the quick responce.
***** If you'll feel safer with AWD, get AWD. I can't recall the last time AWD helped me on public road. It can be of use, when there's a muddy trail, but as they say: the more off-road abilities you car has, the further you'll have to walk back to bring a tractor ;)
@@marcdxn87 yup same.. a good idea poorly thought out should have driver preset speed for lane departure. I like speed limit sign recognition.. this is useful.
Hehe you are right... flat sound like scooter :) But! I have it in Audi as multitronic and its so relaxing to drive, silent,smooth.....when you drive up on high mountains its a big pleasure :)

Glad I could help
I have this model in same colour. How do I track my car from my cellphone
My Qashqai 1.5 diesel gives 50mpg to 70mpg. What does the 1.6 diesel give in real world for XTrail?
Ideal.
Nice, review!!
love sunroof, I have the same car!
There's 2.0 L gas engine that's enough to carry 7 people, 5.4/100 mpg.
rear seat slide back to give you more leg room or slide front to give you no leg room at all. this statement is funny. lol

Thanks bro, by the way if I may ask, don't you have some north African origins???
***** Nope. Poland, and thereabouts.
you will never get good fuel economy on automatic....here in UK 1.6 diesel is good enough ..load of safety tech and the price is affordable.
With a heavier car like the XTrail a good 2 litre diesel would work best giving a little more torque. 1.6 is the minimum it should have.
2014 1.6 dci cvt, turbo blew after 99,000. Going to get a toyota.
สุดยอดๆเลยค่ะ
What 4x4 is better I snow
Great car except the engine range is very poor.
+Michal Šimonek I know, but seems to be the Nissan-Renault policy these days, to keep just the very few engines that 80 percent of the market needs.
Majkl the range is incredible on the rogue
Avoid CVT.
Lane departure should not have a fixed speed. It is annoying when overtaking parked cars and should only work above 50mph
M James I ended up turning it off for this reason

Are u kidding a had a vw diesel with 100 horsepower nor problem carrying 1000 kilogram stone
Nice to hear some one cal it it a Nissan unlike the yanks who say neesan becouse their English is shit
billy mcauliffe oh the irony 😂
Rr
CVT = avoid
why?
Arthur Milstead Because it make the car sound like a scooter
Paul Hojda
But remember about high efficiency and low noise (modern CVT). Disadvantage only off-road using
Arthur Milstead Manual all the way
