I just love his voice and how he shows the food and menu descriptions slowly. I can see all the items and ingredients plus the music is amazing Carnival looks amazing !
Wow great memories from a long time ago. Hope you guys will go on another one sooner than later- they still have excellent service overall at the dining room.
Thank you for sharing these delicious meals. It is informative, and I can't wait one day to personally experience this joy of cruising and the scrumptious meals ❤
Good video but carnival have no idea of presentation of food, Unfortunately they are still bottom of the food chain of other cruise companies along with msc. To be blunt they are just party ships
Chicken pot pie looks good. And the roast beef looked like a "winner winner chicken dinner." Couldn't pass up the citrus cake with butter cream. Never heard of a "Soya Custard Tart," but that would have to go to the table with me. "Elder Flower Vanilla Sponge Cake?" Sure! Why not?! The Shrimp & Grits I saw on the menu would be a must-have. Have to try it at least once just for adventure's sake! And don't forget the Homestyle Pot Roast! That looked really really good... I love that they offer leg of lamb, and have mint sauce on the side. So warm and comforting... Yikes, that Raspberry Champagne Cake looks super tempting - AND it's sugar-free! Love it. I'm a seafood lover, so I'm all about the steamed mussels. And "Pork Piccata." Yum! Everything on French and Italian nights looked divine. Wow, and I love that they had veal shoulder and cutlets. Coconut Lime Cake looks to die for, and so did the Blood Orange sponge cake! Carnival seems to specialize in comfort food - especially in their buffet, and that's largely why I've always avoided this cruise line. Ordinarily, I'm not big on the heavy comfort cuisine of the South, but if I were to take the plunge, judging by the food I see in this video, it looks like I'd be very happy on a Carnival cruise. Typically, I'm not a big cake person either, but I really love how they do some creative things with the cake selection here. My assumption is that the comfort food selection helps keep costs down, and I totally respect that. Plus, it's a cuisine that speaks to a lot of people here in the states. What I love about this selection is that it's not boring, and there seems to be lots of variety. I see stuff I really like that I've never tried before.
Yeah we didn't get to try the Soya tart or the Elder Flower cake, but they sounded pretty exotic. Pot roast was good with nice wine flavor. We also think that many cruisers underestimate Carnival's food- while there are some misses, some of those comfort food offerings were pretty satisfying. So certainly worth a try cruising with them. Thanks Scott for sharing your thoughts- so detailed and thoughtful as always! 😊
Great video folks, I’ve always thought food on Carnival was good. I thought great variety and options for all. Thanks for a great video. Glad to see you folks doing good.
Our pleasure- thanks for the comment Christian! 😊 This was from the Carnival Venezia, which is one of their newer ships (launched in 2019 as a Costa ship but moved to Carnival last year). At 135K gross tons it is one of their larger ships- same class as the the Carnival Vista, Horizon & Panorama but slightly bigger.
@@TravelTouristVideos Thank you for the info! I’m looking at Carnival’s longer Journeys cruises. Carnival Valor is cruising out of New Orleans to Barcelona next May for a dry dock. I’m on her return transatlantic from Barcelona to Nola in June. Would like to try one of their newer ships too! 🙂
@@ChristianLehrer Any time Christian! Nice- with Carnival having more food options on sea days you're going to be able to checkout all the options with the Transatlantic 😋
I thought that a lot of the dessert trays looked like the dogs breakfast..so messy. But. I guess that happens when a lot of people are taking desserts. I saw a lot of food I would try in this one. I have no sense of taste or smell so eye appeal and texture are what I go by. Thanks for the video. Joanne (also my older sister's name..RIP) lovely as always.

The buffet on the Carnival Vista was horrible, but there were so many complimentary choices that it really didn’t matter. Breakfast at Blue Iguana was great and was my choice most mornings.
That's good to know. I've never sailed with Carnival before, but have always kept my eye on it to see if the food's any good. I guess maybe it's hit or miss. For me, it seems like Princess has been the consistent winner in the food department. I've pretty much given up on Royal. The quality of their food scene has plummeted since 2019. Norwegian is "meh," and Holland America was very good, but their buffet was so overcrowded it wasn't worth going to most days. Hoping to give Celebrity a try pretty soon.
Yes that's the nice thing about Carnival for lunch- if you didn't like what was at the buffet there are several other venues where taste is certainly not lacking.
@@TVHouseHistorian, the buffet was so good on Celebrity that we only ate in the main dining room one time (and it was excellent also). I go to the Blue Iguana for breakfast most mornings. If I go to the breakfest buffet, I get a freshly made cheese and veggie omelet. For lunch, I get a salad from Fresh Creations. For dinner, I'll go to the MDR or choose a specialty restaurant.

My wife and I have a free 4 day cruise in sept. We are a little hesitant on going because of all the bad press and many many TH-camrs give bad reviews of bad behavior, entitlement ,and lack of respect of fellow passengers. But its is free and we decided to go against out judgment and go.
Yeah we never seen those sort of poor behavior, etc during our Carnival cruises, though we've only been on 6 or 7 of them. But go with an optimistic mindset, and you should have a great time. Enjoy your cruise!
It's a really well done video, but the Venezia may not be the best representation of the other ships. I liked the ship, but it focused a lot on Italian food, for obvious reasons. That being said, I'm going to subscribe, the video really is nicely done!
Thank you very much! 😊 Yes while the Venezia had a few extra Italian themed offerings, we found that most of the food were very similar to our other Carnival cruises.
Great video. I have to admit that on our 2019 cruise on the Carnival Splendor, we never stopped at the buffet something I could not imagine these days. I will say that the variety is not phenomenal, there were enough choices that would get me up there on most days. Carnival has so many included options that you cannot get on other lines. I like the lamb dishes and the Indian dishes. I am also partial to all of the Southern dishes. I have a cruise booked on the Carnival Miracle in April to the ABC islands.
Thanks JL! 😊 They had some nice dishes- certainly worth a visit. We like those lamb dishes usually as long as they're not too gamey. And those Indian dishes looked good- we only saw those on day 8 so might not be available on 6 or 7 day cruises. Look forward to hearing what you think after your Carnival cruise next year!

Do all Carnival cruises have the same buffet selections? I’m wondering about Mediterranean, Tex-Mex, etc.
