Man, what a great time for affordable music tech. I'm actually looking into devoting my channel to such reviewing endeavors. Great demo as always Shane. Cheers!
Saw this when it was launched. This will help a lot of people I think. Great Crossover Niche item from Joyo. Shows they are looking down the road to grow and adapt. Smart. Great overview and playing as always Shane. Stay safe and may the blues be with you. In the good way 😎
Perfect timing!!! I just got my M1 iPad Pro and started playing around with GarageBand and this Momix looks to be a great addition to my recording setup. I’m open to anything that will help me both record myself on a regular basis and create videos here on TH-cam. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🎸🎸🤙🏾
This appears to be a similar product/ Clone of the Roland Go Pro Mixer which I have. The Roland allows you to use batteries for phantom power and also has a encorporated stand to allow you to fit/ position your phone or tablet. Good review though on this Joyo product. I would like to know if the mix output is stereo to mono straight down the middle which is what happens with Roland mixer. Thanks
Thanks for the video. This item looks like it has a huge benefit over the Roland GO-MIXER PRO-X; the Roland is useless for use with recording guitars with amp sims as the Loopback switch does not defeat the high z input from feeding into the headphone monitor. I didn't believe this at first, thought the Roland I received was defective, but Roland support confirmed this was the case. It was good to see the Joyo does defeat the input and allows use of amp sims, so I ordered a Joyo immediately. Thanks!
Hi, thanks for the review, I don't know if you said it and I miss it but, how many inputs does it actually show on a daw? or it just shows out as one imput?
So i just bought an ipad pro that will work right straight into usb C? So do i need to download a joyo app for it to work or do i just boot up garage band and will work straight away through that.
Looks very cool - Roland go esque - I like the idea of a lightning iPhone interface on the go... but do you get cross talk with audio in and out of the device at the same time -I remember that being a problem with the ok multimedia interfaces like this... ??
In my experience, products like this need to have a little weight to them. Otherwise when you plug cables into them, the unit gets dragged around all over the place. But maybe I'm just easily annoyed by stuff like that.
Is there any way to plug in external power to the unit? Using these interfaces with a phone tends to drain the phone battery fairly quickly. It would be great if there was a way to power the unit and phone from an external source so that one doesn't have to rely on just the phone battery. Perhaps the interface cable between the phone and audio interface has a breakout cable to plug in external power?
Now that is neat!! I think I might get one of those! I was doing some IPhone recording up north during COVID. Just me singing and jamming on acoustic guitar, that little box would have been perfect!! Is there a way to plug in a podcast mic into it? Like a Shure Mv5?
If the mic is a XLR microphone yes. I covered that in the overview. :) It also works with in-line preamps for low gain dynamic mics like Shure SM7B, Rode Procasters etc.
Nice review. Where can I find compatibility Operative system for Android and iOS? Would like to know if is compatible with my smartphone before purchase. Thank you
Hi. Just bought this but im not sure if the USB port is just dedicated for apple products. I tried my iphone using just a regular lightning to 3.5mm converter but it doesnt work.
is that possible to use as an iRig and conect the output 3,5mm with an 1/4" adapter to an amp? I ask that because I want to use the deplike or tunebridge app for distortion
I have this device set up, just wana use it for amp modeling with my ipad. Cant seem to hear any if the models tho? All i hear is the input tone from guitar. I have the monitor input connected to my speakers using a 3.5mm jack. Am i missing something?
great unit love Joyo products for what they are aiming for, but I would love it more if it had half the functions and half the price, i only need a preamp and 2 XLRs
@@intheblues thanks Shane it's not really for Android users. Pity really as there are a lot of us out there and we don't get much of a look in. I hate windows operating systems as they're full of security holes and the constant updates. I have no problems with the android operating system except hardly any android derived hardware or software for us guitarists
The one thing it has going for it over other interfaces is that it works seamlessly with the iPhone, and they don’t include the adapter necessary for it? No thanks, I’ll pass.

Do NOT need...now I want one, however. Great little piece of kit for sure. These will be everywhere in 2 years. Like a DS1 👍

Love these "studio on the go" items. Excellent review!
Neat little device, thanks for sharing!!
Thanks Shane, great video! This definitely helped clear up a few questions I had about this device.
I take online guitar lessons. I already use my phone to record my videos I send. This looks like a much better way to do it.

That looks like a good solution for a phone interface at a reasonable price.
Excellent démo ! Thanks🇫🇷👍🏼🍒

Sick lick at 1:44
that's a pretty cool system.
Just what I was thinking!
@@estenray6685 me too! 😄

No, bro, I also find that really annoying
Great Review Great playing

There's not that I know of no. It's a self powered device.

@@intheblues The Shure MV5 is a USB mic! No worries I'll just bring a SM58
May i ask if you can power if with powerbank then connect my phone to "recording" to record my vocals? Thank you in advance ♥️
5:15 what was this mixer? I could not see the make. Didn’t see it in the description. Thank you.
Is the interface a 3x3 Channel? Or is single Channel.
Interesting item, not sure how useful I'd personally find it compared to a portable zoom recorder or smiler. Kinda cool though for livestreaming!
Nice review. Where can I find compatibility Operative system for Android and iOS? Would like to know if is compatible with my smartphone before purchase.

can I use this on DAW for recording multitrack? will it detect as audio interface?
Very cool! Now I can make St.Pepper's Part II on my phone. NO EXCUSES! :-)

All that went over my head like a low-flying boomerang.
Mine, too, lol
Haha maybe in the next life.
Can it be used with android's walk band application?
I didn't know my phone had a Pentium III processor to run a DAW. That's great news!
Your phone is far better than a Pentium III lol.
It seems that the only cables that work with the unit. Can anyone confirm?
Joyo momix pro ?
LOL!!
This is a Roland GoMixer Pro with another enclosure...
This or iRig Stream?
Is karaoke possible with this
Does it come with its own software suite , as I use an android phone. If it doesn't come with its own suite what is available for Android.
It doesn't no. Most hardware won't these days. You can also use this with a computer with any DAW.

Wow there are so many ways of recording in 2021
