Very true, but when you consider 0.99% financing, the interest you’re paying on your loan is far below what is easily earned through even a simple savings account. If you consider investing in the overall market, your return on your money will considerably outpace the interest you pay on your loan, making the Tesla Y even that much less expensive. A lack of proper financial education is part of the problem.

With the recent increase in range of the Model Y, combined with 0.99% financing, I put down my deposit three days ago. Unfortunately, many people still don’t realize that the actual price you pay for a Model Y is considerably less than the MSRP due to the federal rebate, and rebates available in many states. The price I will be paying for my Tesla is comparable to the price of a brand new Honda CRV, and there is simply no comparison between the two vehicles. That is exactly the education Tesla needs to provide to the public.
I returned my leased 2021 MYLR in March & purchased a 2024 MYP. I wonder if I could get the 0.99%?
New and used car sales are going to be slow because some people don't quality for the EV tax credit, and millions of us are under water with our car loans for the next 2-3 years until we can play down the negative equity. So millions of new and existing customers are out of the market.
I ordered my Model Y Performance on Sunday and took delivery on Monday. I got the 0.99% rate with a credit score of 832. It worked for me!

What is your claim base on? You must have some insight that we do not know 😂 I can speak for myself I was waiting for model Y refresh but the deal is quite good so I’m ordering my!
The part that they aren’t advertising, which they should if they’re seeking to stay authentic, is that once you pay the deposit, a hard pull on your credit (assuming it’s 730+) will THEN determine if you’ll receive the 0.99% Apr regardless of what the website says. The next storm will be all of the orders that got cancelled when the buyer received a 6%+ Apr instead of what’s been advertised as if it’s available for everyone. 🤔💭📝🤷🏻♂️

I looked at two configs at the Tesla store here in Ohio yesterday. I decided to wait and cars are still available today. When I bought my MYP last year, if you waited a day, the cars were gone.
I ordered almost a week ago but can’t talk to anyone about it and don’t see Tesla financing as an option in the task section for financing.

How accurate is his inventory chart? In this economy if you want one you be crazy not to grab one now unless you intend to buy cash on the next best thing.
I applied Financing…but i got 9% apr not 0.99…..I have 740 credit score, downpayment 6000…..short history (just over a year) and then I tried to connect my advisor they didn’t respond….i gotta go cancel f scam model y deals..

You need to wait till the end of the period to make that conclusion. A lot of people I know are buying and or exchanging their old teslas for this.
In many ways it’s a fantastic refinance. If you can offset the paid out negative equity against long term depreciation.

Very Interesting. Didn't you find the ventilated seats, rear entertainment screen, better sound speakers and road noise insolation on the refreshed M3 are more bang for the bucks over this .99% on a dated MY? or you simply find a Mini SUV fits your lifestyle better?
I don’t think M3 and MY buyers are mutually exclusive. While the average Tesla buyer likely has a bias towards a specific model I am willing to bet a fair percentage of people are flexible to buy either a 3 or Y depending on a variety of attributes, price being the top factor. What we don’t know to my knowledge is how many refreshed M3 have sold this year? How many orders have been placed on M3 performance? So many factors to consider and it seems this topic isn’t being covered completely whether due to inadequate data or lack of looking at it correctly.

@@gotthat1 my wife in I we put good down payment I think with taxes and others fees total was like 58k with 20 inductions weels,wall charge and blue color .3 year total financing after down payment was like 35k almost i pay off the car couple more months left!

I put down so much bc I want a low monthly payment. and it’s at 72 months but I certainly will be paying it off a lottttt sooner granted something tragic does not happen financially. I just wanted to be safe.
Could have easily cut that down payment to $5K and deposited that $10K into high yield savings account for 5% APR. You can still part of that for your monthly payment.
I’m buying one. Honestly, I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t stumble across your video Saturday morning. Instead of paying cash, I’m putting it in a high yield savings account to draw monthly payments over the next 6 years. I estimate another $5k(ish) savings based on the additional 3.5% yield.

I call my insurance before get the car,they dint really want evs,it went up from 250 to 1300 month,rhe quote a mdx 2024 and quote me for 480 month,they dont want evs 2nd the 250 hold i dont like that because they can ask for high down-payment if they want and u will loose noney,
Trade prices are in the toilet. They should not have de-valued their cars by lowering prices.

Even with the 7500 tax credit and 6,000 down and .99% I’m still looking at like 500 a month I would love to do this tbh but I’m about to pay off wife’s car and don’t want to sign up for the same payment again I wish they would have done this in December or November haha

When Tesla only gives you to the end of the month, they are also pushing/rushing current Tesla owners to trade in and give them nothing for their trade. They make up the loss in interest by what they will make on selling your used car. For kicks use their trade in calculator to give you a trade in quote. It's low and you have to go in to get a little more.

The cost of ownership is much higher on a suv. Mines a 2004 tahoe. I spend about 100 a week on gas 60 miles daily driven monday to friday. Imagine if I had a 600 dollar payment on top

Bro, it takes time to take delivery of the vehicle. They just started this incentive like what, 4 days ago? Some people will wait until the end of May to pull the trigger just in case Tesla decides to offer additional incentives like the choose any color for free. We should have a much better picture of the efficacy of the 0.99% financing by mid June. I’d be very surprised, perhaps dismayed, if this barely makes a dent in their inventory.

Do you drive 300 miles a day? If not, just put it to charge when you get home, and it will always stay topped up.
If you're taking two hours to recharge at a public charger, then that's a really poor charger.
