In fact, the wealthy elite class of ancient athens would compete with each other to pay the most taxes because that was the measure of a great patriot and aligned with their philosophy of giving back to the society that gave you that wealth. Early American business magnates actually grew up on and were inspired by greek philosophy. Mark Cuban is a wonderful guy. His prescription drug company alone deserves recognition for helping people afford medication WITHOUT insurance. We need more billionaires like him!
Thank you, Mark Cuban, one of the few wealthy people being real and telling it like it is. What few talk about is that the middle class is the major part of the money that circulates in any country. Without good money circulation, the economy weakens. Well, the middle class here has been shrinking since the 80s, when lobbying money skyrocketed, giving big business extreme power, ignoring the health of the middle class and the economy by keeping working wages stagnant to help maximize profit, pushing the middle class into poverty. A stronger middle class will promote true trickle out and all around economics and the poor will be uplifted. More, better paying jobs will promote spending and increase tax revenue which is the only way to decrease the deficit. That's happening right now. But trickle down economics by letting the rich and big business keep more money never worked and it never will because the rich and big business keep the money. And big business doesn't want a strong middle-class, because with a strong middle-class, big business will hear things like, "Hey; Bezos. You want me to drive your van for how much?!!!'
I would agree but taxes literally filters out all money and causes inflation on its own. They tax your money when you get paid, then every dollar of your taxed money is taxed on every consumer item you buy with that already taxed money. Circulated money is chipped away at by the government, it doesn't actually circulate unless its under the table.
Thank you Mr. Cuban for saying that out loud. I agree 100% it’s scary writing a big old check (I write them for my clients, it’s still scary and I see their reaction). You always gotta take the bad with the good and count your blessings, no matter your status in life.

When USA "sends money to Ukraine" who receives that money?? It's not the biggest players of arms industry?? When politicians take public money and transfer to banks, which one gets more? The private banks or the politicians?? It's very easy to know which people are the owners and which are just servants, politicians are just servants of billionaries, nothing more, nothing less, they get a very small piece of the cake, which is already big for any normal worker, but it's tiny compared to what the big corporations get.

I guarantee you if he paid more in taxes he wouldn't be a billionaire anymore assuming he even is
@@zeroexeaYou don’t understand taxes. The richest Americans used to pay 90% in taxes, now they pay roughly 10%.
Let’s be insanely conservative:
If I’m the poorest billionaire at $1B, and I have a TERRIBLE YEAR, getting only 5% interest. That would be $50M
If I pay 50% taxes, then I still earned $25M in profit, and I’m still a billionaire.
@@charliekowittmusic5% of $1B is not 200 million, it's 50 million. But that doesn't matter because most billionaires don't withdraw their investments nor do they normally take salaries, so you can't tax their appreciating assets.
@@yyyyyk Gosh darn it, that’s what I meant. Thanks for pointing it out. In this example, we’d be talking about capital gains though, or raw interest, for clarification.
Although it’s true that it’s mostly luck he’s just saying this and posting it on social media to benefit himself. He’s just like every politician who tells everyone exactly what they want to hear but doesn’t follow up on it
Thanks for paying your share. You sound like a decent human being. A true patriot.
Lol. Show me that he payed his fair share. Lmaoh.
Lemme know when he pays more in taxes than what he's asked to by the IRS.

Mr. Cuban, thank you. One of the VERY FEW who acknowledge that they didn't get where they are w/o everything their employees did to help them get there. If (when) a wealth tax gets passed, you're one of the few that believes in doing what's right & PAYING THEIR FAIR SHARE!
Bro looking like he’s about to pass out fr
I'm so glad he said that. One thing that angers me is that people fall for the anyone can become a millionaire or billionaire talk. While it is true you can create some wealth doing business etc. luck and being at the right place and time is what creates millionaires and billionaires
Well, anyone can become a millionaire by steadily investing a portion of their income throughout their working life, letting compound growth do its job. But billionaire is a whole other thing.
It is true anyone can become a millionaire
@@smileychess in the US maybe, but in impoverished countries it's not true
@@jeffgifkins7684in the US. That's where luck plays a part too, it's significantly easier to be a millionaire in the US than, say the Congo
@smileychess That is purely if they have the time and resources to acquire an income they can invest part of.
I really do hope it changes but being realistic, my baby brother is a perfect example. He's disabled. He's going to be lucky to have any job, and most states would let him be paid less than minimum wage.
There will come a day where someone is legally allowed to tell that little boy to live on less than $7.25/hour. And there's not much he can do. No, my brother will never be a millionaire unless he wakes up tomorrow a completely different person.
Thank you Mark. I wish there were more in the 1% like you who would have this insight, honesty, humility and integrity. It would do a world of good for our country.

He confidently saying billionaires should pay more taxes because he knows his multi millionaire friends sitting in senate will never change the Tax code
I mean, it depends. Trump gave massive, massive tax breaks to billionaires. Biden's admin has proposed tax bills to reverse those and impose more taxes on billionaires. But like you said, getting that through the House (Rep controlled) is a challenge.
Exactly saying and doing are different things. They will always tell you what you want to hear when it’s convenient for them

We need to make sure that our taxes are actually being used correctly. I still don’t get why the US government just lets defense contractors make us pay hundreds per each soldier’s meal for the military.
Because to them they got unlimited money. And there not wrong why do you think they are in dept they spend more money then they receive in taxes

You are always allowed to pay more taxes and even designate to pay additional money to particular departments. However I have never met anyone who says we should increase taxes that actually does this.

He can literally send the IRS more money and they will accept it. If he feels he should pay more, then write the check.
😳😳😳 That's not true.
@@celinehary3222 It absolutely is true. You can write a check with an explanation and send it in with your tax filing or contact the Treasury and request information on how to donate additional funds to the government.

How about the government not paying 600 dollars for a toilet seat etc.
Ahh yes pay your taxes so the politicians can get rich, send to other countries, and spend it inefficiently.
We have this thing called transparency and votes. So either you pay for your own police and public roads, or vote wisely.
If politicians grab that juicy that much, how can be that no politician is a billionarie by working as politician? But every big business who promote those politicians are billionaries and keep getting more billions by every move that those politicians make???
Your analysis is weak because it ends at the surface, who really wins with corruption?? Where it goes the billions of dolars that goes for example, like you said to "other countries"??
When USA "sends money to Ukraine" who receives that money?? It's not the biggest players of arms industry??
When politicians take public money and transfer to banks, which one gets more? The private banks or the politicians??
It's very easy to know which people are the owners and which are just servants, politicians are just servants of billionaries, nothing more, nothing less, they get a very small piece of the cake, which is already big for any normal worker, but it's tiny compared to what the big corporations get.
