      He's intelligent indeed but he probably learned french fast because it's a language not so distant from portuguese, both romance languages.

      @@MateusOliveira-dy5qy I'm not a linguistic specialist by any means, but I'm Brazilian and, as far as I'm concerned, French is one of the big romance languages that's most different from Portuguese. Spanish and even Italian seems much closer to Portuguese to me.

    Hello Kiko! Could you make a video talking about sweedish, finnish and nordic musicians that are inspiring? Do they perhaps use different scales? And could you make another completely different video about the blues and m6, m7 and dim pentatonics. I don't know if you enjoy the blues as another musical influence like Jerry Cantrell and Joe Perry did. Thanks for keeping inspiring us.

  • @asylumofglass
    @asylumofglass 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Yes Kiko. I'd LOVE a video about intervals. This might be a bad question, but is there any way you could describe:
    Is there a functional difference between an augmented 4th inverval and a diminished 5th interval, even though they are enharmonic? Or do they both lead to the same place? Like, the diminshed 5th in a V Dom7 Chord SEEMS to always lead to the I chord when it is a Major key and to the i chord in a harmonic or melodic minor key. But the IV chord in a melodic minor scale is another Dom7!!!! What do I do with that?
    Similarly, how do I use the #11 or sus#4 in some weird IV lydian chord other than just resolving back to the basic IV major chord? I just tried resolving it to the I chord and it seemed to work ok, but it felt like I was playing something off of a Nine Inch Nails album. I need help bro! haha
    Hope you're doing ok in Finland man. Thanks for the stream!

      He talks about his left hand technique in another video where he explains that he practices pressing the strings down but with the lightest of touches so it’s mutes the string and then presses down slightly harder so it makes a sound, you should try and find the video and check it out

    • @onethousandtwonortheast8848
      @onethousandtwonortheast8848 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JDMurphy997 This concept applies to piano as well; pressing down only enough to cause the hammer to strike the key and not continuing to press down on the key but only holding it down enough to let the strings ring. Otherwise, you are using mire energy to do the same amount of work and that causes slower reaction time, a different tone and possible exhaustion. Efficiency is the key; the closer you are to the area you are supposed to play, the quicker and more precisely you do it and with higher consistency.
