High Speed Santa Fe action in 1997 along the BNSF Chillicothe Subdivision

On June 30th & July 1st of 1997 I visited the BNSF Chillicothe Subdivision in Illinois. Stops were made at Ancona, Toluca & Chillicothe. Santa Fe power was still the norm at this time with just a few locomotives sporting BN or BNSF paint. Power on other trains included Southern Pacific, Union Pacific, DW&P, LMX & Electro Motive Leasing.

I was born in 2001, but man, the 90s seemed pretty cool, and BNSF Atsf heritage units seemed more common back then. Wish they could bring them back

I know you put this out coupla years ago, however, good job filming and editing.
For me the’90s were the best RRoading years. Better dispatching and more freedom to use your better judgment. If any of us had that.

july 1st 1997 was a tuesday. i would have to assume that he was filming at 10am because that would have been a civil defense test. (1st tuesday of every month)
