2:05 Nice shot of a former Wabash caboose. Seems like N&W didn't keep (or put up with) their U boats as long as other railroads did. But it made for interesting locomotive consists.
The Southern Railway was a totally separate entity from the Norfolk and Western. It was never "a part of the N&W". The two merged in 1982 to form the current day Norfolk Southern

Love those high hoods. And the horns
Thanks for putting this up.
This was all shot by Ed Durnwald. That's his white Corvette at the beginning.
@@SullenV.Hement I Saw That
Oh man
Nice C3 opening shot…..
Mid 70s judging by the rear window
The G.E. high hoods are certainly an interesting design
I personally prefer the E.M.D. ones, but the G.E. ones seem a bit unique
Either GE or EMD, high hood locomotives are cool.
@@rottenroads1982 I agree!
I love the first few scenes. Looks like NW on the NKP. Thanks!
Glad You Like it Bro
Seemed Track Maintenance was still a Priority….
I bet some of those units are running on a class-2 or class-3 railroad and still running strong,
3:33 this isn’t norfolk and western lil bro
Southern Rwy was Part Of The Norfolk And Western Rwy 😑
